Japan - 8.9 Earthquake - Fukushima Meltdown

I wonder if this quake event could have something to do with the aproaching of the supermoon, or the many comets and asteroids passing nearby lately, or a combination of both.

Laura mentioned that this may be related to the coming of comet Elenin in an addendum/comment to her blog:

http://laura-knight-jadczyk.blogspot.com/2011/03/comet-elenin-update.html

Notice that, in close proximity to the March 15 alignment which is just a few days away, there has been an earthquake in China, a big one in Japan (8.8), and a new late winter storm in Turkey and Greece. I noted an X-class solar flare a day or so ago, too. All of these things may be related to the approach of Comet Elenin.

Very big EQ. Tsunami wave is said to be 10 m high. I wonder if this is somehow related to the big CME from 2 days ago, although it was seemingly missing the earth.

Yea, this caught my attention, too.

Curious...
regardless, however, this was an awesome reminder of how fragile and vulnerable we are to the forces of nature and the cosmos.

The water in this picture was still moving quite rapidly, this was not the end result.

Saw this on the RTE live feed:

1906 NHK is reporting a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in the northwest of the country.

The station is saying the latest tremor is not directly related to this morning's earthquake - which occurred in the northeast. It is not an aftershock.

Hubby sent this to me a little while ago. He has many co workers who live and work in Japan. So far no injuries, but several office buildings and one factory took damage. :(

This is a link to the tsunami buoys : http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/dart.shtml

These buoys chart changes in sea level after earthquakes, its some hard data fwiw.

It looks like USGS is reporting the West coast earthquake as a magnitude 6.2

Could this be a hit for the C's?

Q: (L) We would also like to have more information on earth changes. Is the Japanese earthquake that just happened as you predicted last week, the last of the
Japanese problem? (An entire session had been lost due to tape malfunction.)
A: No.
Q: (L) Can you give us more on that...
A: There will be activity about 8.9: 67 miles off Osaka coast; 9.7: central Tokyo.
Q: (L) Are all of these going to happen within this year?
A: No. Within 1.6 years.

The magnitude is exact!

It seems to be SAO. This 8.9er was reported as about 1000 times more powerful than the Christchurch earthquake, already termed a 'megaquake'. Seems we've entered the era of the megaquake. 9.7? That's unbelievably destructive

A few days prior there were several other earthquakes around ~6.0 or so in the general area recorded in the USGS earthquake database, it seems like something big was preparing to happen...

I just read here that the initial Japan earthquake has been upgraded to a 9.

Although the New Scientist claims that scientist are reporting that the earthquake may have been as strong as a magnitude 9.0, the USGS is still showing it as a 8.9. :)

The session is from October 1994. So if they was talking about the current earthquake, the time frame is, at least, rough or the noise hight.

Ummm.... I guess while this was being posted, I was formatting that session to publish it. The actual time given was not 1.6 years but 16 according to the notes and since the session was in October, I guess they only missed it by about 5 months.

Anyway, here is the checked session with commentary:
