Japan - 8.9 Earthquake - Fukushima Meltdown

So yes, there is activity here in the states and yes maybe we are in for some not so normal activity, I just think Dutchsinse is putting things together in an abstract way without any real proof of what he is saying regarding the US. And maybe Japan is falling into the ocean. This is not an expert opinion from me, just wanted to outline some basic info that you can discern for yourselves.

In one of his latest he mentions earthquakes in Europe, in Poland and Belgium particularly, as a "new seismic activity". Well, I'm not sure about Belgium, but it seems the earthquake was close to Mons at the depth of 2 km which could suggest coal mining as a cause. In Poland, the earthquake happened at the depth of 5 km near Lubin which is one of the biggest mining regions in Poland so earthquakes happen there pretty often (see the third pic on usgs page). It has nothing to do with fault lines as he speculates.

One thing he is good for, at least, is simply tracking seismic activity, although his predictive capabilities may be totally useless if he's pulling out patterns that don't exist.

See above :) His predictions are like coffee cup reading, at least in some cases.

He seems to be posting videos announcing quakes before they're reported in the press, too, like the 6.3 that just hit this morning 70km south of the Fukishima plant.

You can download the Earthquake 3D free software that I linked to in my previous post, subscribe to several websites for data and you'll have the same (minus speculations).

OR, as the C's said in the last session: you can still keep watching his videos but be aware there is information mixed with speculation in there. :)

To Possibility of being:

These links from "dutchsinse" seemed interesting, but you have "bebunked" this guy, it seems... Ok, this confused me, I´ve looking at his forum.... I can only said that he takes time to do some things seriously, though i do´nt dare to say much more. They are disturbing these kind of situations...

Thanks Possibility of Being and Bluestar - networking works!

Yes thanks, learned two things from you both; another side of the coin on the presenter and a few good links to earthquake data.

Initially he seemed very speculative, but the software was excellent producing interesting visuals.

Now I am not saying Dutchsinse is a snake oil salesman, though snake oil salesmen use all sorts of buttens and bells and pretty things to look at to get someones attention.

Research is the best way for us to sort it all out.

I'm hoping that this is not going to turn into another Fukushima, and that there is nothing to be alarmed over, but I've just seen reports of smoke rising from a second Japanese Nuclear plant and thought that the snews and situation was worth sharing and keeping an eye on. The story is being carried by two outlets, so I thought I would post both links. There is very little information as yet, however this plant has had trouble before and was closed down for two years after an earthquake in 2007 that caused fires and smoke to billow out of the plant.

Japan's Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) says smoke has risen from the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear plant in the coastal Niigata Prefecture.

TEPCO reported on Saturday that smoke rose briefly from a control panel at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant during the checking of water purification equipment.

It added that the cause of the incident was not clear, but no one was injured.

This link shows a time-lapse animation of the 1,020 earthquakes which have happened near Japan since March 11, their magnitudes, depths and locations.
It takes awhile to watch the whole thing, but even just a few minutes worth is enough to see that something very dramatic is going on.

Good link venusian - the outer island shelf is indeed under a lot of continuous pressure.

Some of the cows seemed to be eating from a trough so maybe the dead ones are from lack of water or radiation... but why didn't the asshole with the camera or the workers who abandoned them, release the live cows...... at least they could forage for grass and sustenance in the wild

A country should rent a place for the entire Japanese population! Peru has plenty of space!!

 Isn't Peru a dangerous country??

Peru I think is less dangerous right now compared to a country with radiation/earthquake/tsunami/volcano/blackouts!
Well...a sad thing is that people in Japan (especially people in Tokyo) seem like they do not care about anything above all. Like quite many people have the -"There is nothing we can do about it so why should we care??"-attitude. So they live their lives as if nothing has happened.
That is the most dangerous thing to me...

By the way, if I can go to Peru to start living, immediately I will. Thank you EGVG. :)

Looks like you are seeing the Normalcy bias.

https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Normalcy_bias

The normalcy bias refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of the government to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

Why is this dangerous to you?
