Yes, thank you.

I've watched the very short trailer:

Woman of Fukushima said:
…just as our group is called the Woman of Fukushima, the woman of Ibaraki, the woman of Chiba and the Woman of Tokyo should all raise their voices.
[…]
The media does not write the truth… the Japanese media.
The Japanese have been lied to.

Well they are indeed brave woman for speaking about their now bleak toxic landscape along with the poising of the animals, plants and human beings of Japan and by extension, throughout the world. It is just so very very sad and so very irresponsible, yet psychologically speaking, there is a named cause. Seems to me that whether woman or man, we have all been witness to these horrific toxic planetary legacies; Chernobyl/Fukushima/Three Mile Island, and a few more that we know about contributing to where we are at now, not discounting of course our pathological obsession with exploding atomic "test" devices, one just recently in the USA, which is a whole bigger toxic picture.

Aside from the regular day to day leaking of atomic plants in general, here are a few others that the world press is mostly mute/forgetful about; that we are aware:

- Mayak Nuclear Power Plant near the city of Kyshtym. IAEA classified the event as a Level 6 Disaster, which is a "serious accident."
- Windscale Fire, Great Britain
- Tokaimura, Japan
- Bohunice Nuclear Plant, Jaslovské Bohunice, Czechoslovakia
- Goiânia Goiás, Brazil
- Russian's missile submarine K-19
- Nevada's Yucca Flat [buried materials that sprung a leak]
- Soviet nuclear-powered submarine K-431

As for these woman of Fukushima, their voices must be heard and help has to include all of humanity's sanity together. In the words of Dr Helen Caldicott discussing the Fukushima reactor damage and the health effects to human beings. "Fukushima is many orders of magnitude worse than Chernobyl". You can read this article by Helen Caldicott on SotT.Net along with another of many many good SotT's articles on these subjects, like this one here.

IMO, understanding the science of splitting atoms and even doing it once, was one thing, not understanding the mental pathology of those who would propagate its later ill use, is another, and humanity at large highly underestimated this disease of the mind that would make it so - and here we are today, being such goooood stewards of this planet. :(

I couldn't find this video in this topic, but I think this is important to see how dangerous Fukushima really is

The 'experts' are reporting that Fukushima is anywhere from 10-50 times worse (meaning fallout) than Chernobyl. These same experts are now saying that the environmental contamination from Fukushima will cause the deaths of millions of people. If you don't think the effects from Chernobyl are significant because it's been swept under the rug by media and government, please see my video link below 'Fukushima DNA Mutations...' People, we are being lied to and the dangers are being horrifically downplayed. Listen to what Dr. Chris Busby is telling you. There is a link to the global petition he talks about below.

He talks about cesium 137 and heart disease in children; not leukemia and genral cancer as being the real problem (for children). He discusses, as example, a five year old heart weighs about 220 grams or 85 grams in muscle tissue; this equals approximately 3 billion muscle cells in a child’s heart. He elaborates on the disintegrating electron tracks from the cesium 137, which binds to muscles, and of the disintegrating becquerels and heart cells being damaged - if 1% of cells are killed, you will lose 35% of the muscle cells in the heart ( in a year only 1% of these cells can be replaced). This is the largest single effect on children and monitoring must include EKG and removal of children from these areas.

He is also associated with the International Commission on Nuclear Justice:
http://nuclearjustice.org/?p=50 and has launched a petition (nuclear contamination from all sources)…

Thanks voyageur!

Yesterday was big demo in Tokyo again, first time so big this year.

In their first mass protest this year, anti-nuclear protesters rallied outside the prime minister's office Jan. 11 and denounced the Shinzo Abe administration for failing to commit to reducing Japan's reliance on nuclear energy.

Organizers of the Friday-evening rallies, which began in March 2012 and were held throughout the year, say the protests will continue.

"Abe is putting economic measures first, but those who benefit from spending on public works will be general contractors," said 61-year-old Osamu Ishigaki from Yokohama, who joined the rally straight from work. "Investing in renewable energy would offer better prospects for the overall economy."

The Abe administration has pledged higher spending on projects such as surveys of tunnels, roads and railways and making repairs where needed.

It is also seeking to uphold Japan's reliance on nuclear power, scrapping the previous government's pledge to phase it out by the 2030s.

Like previous rallies, the latest one kicked off at 6 p.m. in the Nagatacho district, the Tokyo neighborhood akin to Washington's Capitol Hill or London's Westminster. It lasted two hours.

Fumi Maeda, a 23-year-old nursery school teacher from Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, said she was participating for the first time.

"The LDP wants to maintain the nuclear industry's status quo," she said. "It won the Lower House election, but by taking part in this rally I am hoping to get my friends and relatives interested in the matter."

The rally is organized by a group called the Metropolitan Coalition Against Nukes.

I watched this video yesterday.

I woke up this morning, I was in Japan (I was still dreaming). I was in my room and realized that radiation was in the air. I hold my breath and I looked around. I saw my family members. And I looked outside through the window - it was cloudy. My body started feeling stressed as I began to open my eyes. - I was glad that I was not in Tokyo.

I still remember how stressful to live in the environment, especially when you know the dangers of radiation and lies of the government, and when people around you do not get it. The women in the video are brave and inspiring that they are speaking up for the rest of people in Fukushima. It is very sad the government does not consider any of the things those women say, worse, they do not even listen and keep acting inhumane like robots - like psychopath. It seems like they cannot comprehend the result of what they are doing.
Those women must be in an extremely stressful situation. I hope that more people will wake up to realize that demonstrations or a political change are not going to solve the current problems. Also I hope that more people evacuate from the area (including tokyo)

The video makes me a little bit nostalgic when I hear the Fukushima accent as it reminds of my grandmother who always speaks with thick local accent.

My aunt told me that the populations of Iwaki (the biggest city in Fukushima) is now twice or more bigger than before. Many people from nother part of Fukushima are evacuated and moved in the area. Still, Iwaki is only 40km away from the plant.
My grandmother rebuilt her house and now she is living again where she was. I am just worrying if the tsunami happends again in the same area. There are still earthquakes time to time, and usually epicenters are the coast of Honshu (off shore of the eastern Japan).

Here is another Video about the evacuation of Hospital with over 450 elders bed-ridden.
Lives Slipped Away
The 50 Patients of Futaba Hospital
In the three days after the nuclear accident, more than 200 bed-ridden elderly people were stranded at the Futaba Hospital and attached old people's home in the town of Okuma, Fukushima Prefecture, and 50 died during the exhausting evacuation operation. Those 50 deaths have shocked hospital and care home operators across the country and posed hard new questions for Japan as a land of frequent natural disasters.
Air date 1/11/2013

How much support can medical staff provide when they become victims of disaster?

Here is the latest from Fairewinds & Associates - Arnie Gundersen

Dated Feb 5th, 2013

California Nuclear Power Plant Preparing To Restart Reactor After Shutting Down Because Of Leak

There is an RT video here with an interview about San Onofre plant which he says “should be shut down”.

_http://www.fairewinds.org/content/california-nuclear-power-plant-preparing-restart-reactor-after-shutting-down-because-leak

Obama guaranteed loans > 8 billion for two plants in Georgia

About this video
Fairewinds' Arnie Gundersen was interviewed on Russia Today to discuss Southern California Edison's "San Onofre" Power Plant. Arnie says, "The worst plant in the U.S. for evacuation plans, is San Onofre. When they built it in the fifties, no one was around it, but Southern California has grown dramatically. So it would be almost impossible to evacuate the area." Later on he discusses why, and what this could mean.

Also, there is a Podcast posted Feb 7th, 2013 on his site as follows:

_http://www.fairewinds.org/content/sen-boxer-believes-san-onofre-knew-about-problems-years-earlier

Sen. Boxer Believes that San Onofre Knew About Problems Years Earlier
In this special edition, Fairewinds analyzes a letter from Senator Boxer and Representative Markey that indicates that the problems at San Onofre were known to its owner, Southern California Edison, years before the steam generators were installed and rapidly failed. This statement by Boxer and Markey supports Fairewinds analysis of one year ago that indicates Edison took shortcuts to avoid public participation in a license amendment for San Onofre.

Apparently, a whistleblower sent the NRC report to Sen. Boxer outlining the failed Mitsubishi steam generator replacements and Edison et al (including the NRC) does not want the public knowing about it.

Here is an article:

Sen. Boxer Seeks Investigation Into Changes at San Onofre Nuclear Site

Here is a link to the Boxer letter to the NRC (pdf):

And the third document is from “The Friends of the Earth” to the NRC:

Friends of the Earth calls on NRC to release suppressed document indicating prior knowledge of design problems at Southern California Edison’s crippled San Onofre nuclear reactors

Couple of things to add here on this thread.

At Fairewinds, there is a podcast _http://www.fairewinds.org/content/forgotten-fukushima-japan-two-years-after-daiichi-accident called 'Forgotten Fukushima-Japan Two Years After the Daiichi Accident', whereby a discussion takes place between Kevin Hurley, Helen Caldicott, Arnie & Maggie Gundersen. The discussion, amongst other things, focuses in on the March 11th anniversary symposium at the The New York Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Caldicott details the impressive credentials of the international scientists who will be presenting their evidence at an important Scientific Symposium at the The New York Academy of Medicine in New York City. Entitled: the Medical and Ecological Consequences of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident, the symposium is being held on March 11th and 12th on the second anniversary of the Fukushima Daiichi accident. The issue of cesium is bad. They all emit beta- particles (electrons).

Cesium 134 has a half-life of roughly 2 years so it would take about 40 years for it to be reduced by 1000x (ex: 1 kg to 1 g).

Cesium 137, however has a half life of roughly 30 years. So now it would take roughly 600 years for the same disintegration process.

I hope cesium 135 hasn't been found because this one has a half-life closer to 3 million years. So the process would take 60 million years.

Anyhow, I'm not an expert in nuclear physics but it seems pretty bad as is.

Very moving story and lot of exposure, what happen in Fukushima.

Can we fear something we can't see? In the wake of Fukushima's nuclear disaster, radiation lingers in the minds of Japanese people. For those living amongst the uncertainty, It marks an awakening to rethink their lives.

Director's Message:
To You,

Thank you for viewing this documentary. I'm sincerely touched by all the notes I've received, especially those living in Japan. It was beyond my expectation that the message of this film would reach so many people. I sincerely thank you.

As most of you might have noticed, this film is currently unlisted on Youtube. This is currently a work-in-progress and I plan to expand the film further. In addition, there are some errors I would like to correct and perfect it. It was initially a thesis project for my Master's program in New York University. But after traveling alone to Japan to embark on this project, I plan to spread the message of protecting the lives of Fukushima children via screenings around the world. With your support, I believe this is possible.

Let us work together and spread the message. Please show this film to everyone around you and I would love to hear your comments.

I would like to quote Miss Tomomi Abe, who inspired my courage to make this film,
"We won't give up.
We will never give up.
We'll never give up on the lives of Fukushima children."

Sincerely,
Dion
