Kantek

It would be good to know what percentage of the entire population of Kantek was 'space lifted' to Earth approx 80 000 years ago before their planet blew up, and how many of them actually survived when they got here. Hundreds of millions all dropped in the Caucasus region. That must have caused problems. Mind you, it doesn't like a very hospitable environment present day.
I suppose the Caucasus region was chosen because it is sort of in the center of the largest landmass on Earth (Eurasia-Africa). Are there any ancient legends of so many new and strange people showing up one day out of nowhere?

Hundreds of millions resettled in a couple of days or weeks seems mind-boggling...

Caucasus region would have probably meant southern Russia or Ukraine, fertile regions.

If 4D STS were interested in keeping the Kantekkians alive they would have had to feed and shelter them.

Makes me want to know what kind of technology the K's were able to bring along for themselves.

Coming from a cooler planet the sunburns and mosquitoes in summer must have been quite a challenge.

Food? Hardly enough animals. Vegetables? 4D STS might know how to produce a bi-weekly harvest...

How about 4D fabricated artificial nutrition paste?

Well, the ice age climate was apparently quite different back then, including a water vapor canopy that probably shielded more from the sun rays. I think Ukraine was significantly cooler back then too, so the best places to live would have been probably further south: Anatolia, Middle East, India, maybe Egypt, Southern Europe, North Africa.

Regarding ancient legends of many strange new people arriving in the Caucasus region, there may be something in the Zoroastrian legends (Mount Alborz is close to the Caucasus in Northern Persia):

According to the Persian Rivāyats (tr. Christensen, 1918-34, II, pp. 60-67), Jamšid was summoned before God himself and given kingship over the world with its insignia: the signet ring, the throne, and the diadem. Returning to earth, he came down from Mount Alborz, and people who looked in that direction are said to have seen two suns, one of which was Jamšēd. [...]

Because Eblis had stopped the benediction on the Great Nowruz (6 Farvardin), God told Jamšid to go to the land of Eblis and his companions. He was there until he had dealt with the problem, then came back and restored order, upon which he appeared as the sun, and people thought they saw two suns in the sky.

Zoroastrian scholastics continued to suppose that the Peak of Harā intercepted the light of the heavenly bodies, which they thought had their orbits in planes parallel to the earth. The ancient Iranians used a 360-day calendar, and in Pahlavi texts (Bd. 56.3; Pahl. Rivāyat 65) it is said that there were 180 windows on the eastern side of the Peak, and 180 on the western side. Each morning the sun passed through one on the eastern side, and each evening it departed through one on the western side. There were likewise 135 windows on either side for the moon, and 90 for the stars; and Vanant, the “Conquering One,” chief star of the southern quarter, is said to be entrusted with guarding these apertures against demons, so that they may not block the passage of sun, moon, and stars.

Basically, portals on a mountain range in the region of the Caucasus being guarded against demons passing through them and a mythical king going to the "land of the devil and his companions" and then upon "returning to Earth" he came down from that mountain range shining like a sun. Interestingly, that same king later has to deal with the issue of overpopulation by enlarging the Earth three times.
