Kettlebell training

As I only have limited space to store and put up any equipment, I've invested in a door pull up bar, and a resistance band and a couple of sizes of dumbbells (2kg and 3kg). My approach is to follow Mark Sisson's bodyweight training (see his blog - marksdailyapple.com) on one of the exercise days and on the other day use the dumbbells and resistance band to do muscle compression (resistance exercises) from a plan I was given as a result of a personal weight training interview last week (again to cover the whole body and types of Paleo movements suggested by Mark Sisson).

This may help, or not for those with limited space to use.

That sounds perfect. What you have there can replace about every fancy gym machine made.

FWIW I bought recently this book Kettlebell Rx: The Complete Guide for Athletes and Coaches from Jeff Martone and seems to be a really great help.

_http://www.amazon.com/Kettlebell-Rx-Complete-Athletes-Coaches/dp/1936608995/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347568207&sr=8-1&keywords=kettlebell+rx

Cause as always these videos really do look easy when someone swings a kettlebell, but there is actually lots of groundwork to be done, to do it properly and not doing harm. I still have muscle ache just learning how to do a deadlift with a kettlebell and I didn't lift it often :).

The book seems pricey, but it is huge and has lots and lots of pictures to make everything as clear as possible. Also when Martone recommends training partners or also a trainer, since someone cannot entirely see it's own body movements and where the mistakes are.

Here is a small summary from amazon:

In Kettlebell Rx, CrossFit certification instructor and world-renowned Kettlebell coach Jeff Martone teaches you how to toughen-up your body, develop unbelievable conditioning and stamina, and acquire a chiseled physique by wielding the ball of iron known as the kettlebell. Drawing on his world-wide research and the thousands of classes he has taught to athletes around the world, he breaks down kettlebell training like never before. He offers hundreds of movements, both beginning and advanced, shows dozens of the most common errors students make while training, and offers numerous workouts for athletes of all varieties. With over four thousand step-by-step photographs, descriptive narrative, and detailed programming, Kettlebell Rx is the only complete Kettlebell book on the market.
