I rarely experience envy and can't say I've felt jealousy in more than 25 years, but I was already feeling a little sad I couldn't afford the trip when it was first announced. But when the EE was added, wow! I started wondering what I could sell to afford the trip. I guess I should make use of this opportunity for self observation!
I am hoping that those of us who don't get the opportunity to attend will be able to see both the conference and the group EE session. However, I acknowledge privacy concerns for may participants and wonder if there would be a way to tape only the EE leaders during the session. Somehow I feel such a recording would be different than the instructional video.
On the other hand, I could just be trying to have my cake and eat it too. :)
I also wondered if live webcasting has been considered. I've attended conference workshops as well as several project meetings using webcast apps like GoTo Meetings and Webex and, although there are costs associated with such technology, they are certainly less expensive than travel and accommodation and could be used as a way for those interested in "attending" to do so at a reduced cost.

It is such a great opportunity to meet a lot of you people in person, listen to Laura and Ark, and attend the Eiriu Eolas session at the same time! The main problem is money, as i am virtually without work for many months now, but am willing to save like crazy and find some money for this event. The air tickets from Greece are about 170 euros with an early booking (not a lot) but checking for accomodation today i found that it is quite expensive. Has anyone found some cheaper alternative to the hotels provided in the list supplied by conference organizers? Or is there a guy with similar wealth (or lack of...) willing to share a room? There is always the option of a hostel instead of a hotel of course, so i will also check this too... My plans and money allow for a maximum of 5 stays, like from 12th to the 17th of Octomber (or similar dates). I really hope i can make it there! :)
