At this juncture I agree that a retraction and apology is the way to go because it is the right thing to do.

That thread on Icke's forum hasn't attracted much attention yet, and Leo40's post hasn't yet been reposted elsewhere, as far as I can tell.

Leo40, just a reminder that in that apology you're just gonna have to forget about your self-importance, take ALL the blame, make it sound like you are not associated with us nor speaking on anybody's behalf, and that 'ufochick' is totally right. And judging from your apology here, which basically tried to blame Bud - I'm very concerned about your ability to even do this - so please respond and get moving on this so we can try to minimize damage - if that's even possible at this point. One would think you'd be falling all over yourself to fix this - yet - hours have gone by and you've not said much.

Fwiw, I think a retraction and apology is the way to go because it is the right thing to do. Even if it is ridiculed and distorted, it would be the truth.

To make it more believable, Leo40 could purposely invite more ridicule while posting that apology. E.g. huff and puff and grudgingly admit that he got mad and went off. Make it into a very obvious personal blunder, and make yourself look like a person who commits such blunders all the time.

My opinion: it might be helpful for Leo40 to just go back to the Icke forum and state that he is not, and was not, authorized to speak for LKG, QFG, or anyone but himself, and to the extent that his previous statement purports to speak for LKG, QFG, or anyone else, or express the opinions or objectives of those persons or entities, he retracts it.

My two cents....

And that's pretty much how he should write it. Short, simple, to the point. He may want to say that he was emotional because he doesn't like to see innocent people being lied about and defamed, but no more than that.

I just listened to some of konjunktion26/ageispolis's music, and I would not recommend listening to it! I think it's a form of music designed to "tune" for lack of a better word, our brains....there are rhythms/pulses at frequencies older people usually can't hear.

"Konjunktion" is NOT good for us!

I'm also thinking it would be good to insert this in both of the Icke threads where this appears, the original as well as the one started by ufochick.

same thread. Since this is a public thread I assumed it represents common
attitude and understanding.

Well you took his post out of context. As I undedstood it, it was directed at a particular individual, not at just anyone who expresses an opinion on the internet. Also, I don't think Bud ever claimed to speak on behalf of anyone, nor did he go ahead and send that letter to anyone, as it seems it was just a draft to offer ideas for the group to consider and network about.

That is correct. I sent no letters myself, nor do I ever claim to speak for anyone. The original post I wrote was intended as an example of a sort of broad template from which specific ideas could be shaped to fit specific purposes. IOW, modified as needed. My vision was that it could serve a useful purpose for someone who does have the authority to speak for Laura or QFG, Inc. My apologies if I caused any confusion to any reader.

To be honest, Bud, it's not you who should apologize. It's Leo40 who should be apologizing to you. To me, the context is beside the point. The point is that Leo posted material from this forum and presented them as if they were his own words. To add insult to injury, when found out, he attempts to shift responsibility to you.

I agree, I was only able to listen to a few seconds of that and had similar thoughts.

Well, this thread will hopefully serve as a lesson for all on this forum and will hopefully prevent such occurrences from happening again. Not sure if you were expressing concerns in terms of anyone outside of this forum reposting material from here. As I understand it, that's what this thread is for - to keep track of things "said" concerning this forum as well as defamatory remarks. Perhaps others have different views though. Please clarify if I haven't answered your question. :)
