Since a new episode of libel and defamation was reported to me overnight, I thought that maybe it would be useful to have a thread in the Newbies forum devoted to that topic. I'll be hunting up the other threads that relate and merging them as time goes by. For now, here's the latest:

John, thanks for posting, only please do not link to the hoax site SOTT -- Signs of the Times -- for a story like this that is available elsewhere. It's easy to fall for sites like SOTT if you don't know their history, and of course, they hope for people to have no idea about them, so try to look innocuous by hosting interesting sounding news along with their regular hoax claims.

SOTT is a UFO site which hosts attack essays on people like Jim Hoffman and Daniel Hopsicker and advocates nonsense 9/11 claims.

Here's an example of SOTT's position on the Pentagon evidence -- the plane flew over the Pentagon:

Since the original article was written, Craig Ranke and Aldo Marquis of Citizen Investigation Team have investigated many of the claims by eyewitnesses to the Pentagon strike. Along with a paper recently published by Pilots for 911 Truth, they have shown conclusively that the flight path suggested by the damaged light poles and generator trailer was physically impossible.

An article by Laura Knight Jadczyk on disinfomation was mentioned yesterday and I have just done a bit of digging into the people behind the Signs of the Times site (Laura Knight Jadczyk's news site) and all the following stuff appears to have been written before they adopted Judy Wood's work and also from before they latched onto the "what hit the pentagon" issue. The key person behind this cult is Laura Knight Jadczyk:

"in 1994, after the Shoemaker-Levy comet slammed into Jupiter, Laura Knight Martin began to channel the Cassiopaeans via a trumped up version of an Ouija Board with fellow board experimenter Fred Ireland. The board used the same type of communication techniques as the original Ouija. In 1996 she divorced the father of her five children Lewis Martin claiming he was a reptilian zombie replacement sent to destroy her ability to evolve on her pathway with the Cassiopaeans."

Laura, I know that you have all the evidence collected for this decade-long defamation and libel campaign, most of it driven by Vinny Bridges, Jay Weidner, and gang, and have been considering legal action. I think it is always good to keep this option open and, if all things considered, it makes sense, to pursue it. Some of the other defamers are just identified with disinformation vectors, etc. (as the example above may be) dealing with the "911 Truth Movement," which, as expected, would be infiltrated right from the beginning. After all, the main conspirators who would be able to pull of the 9/11 operation, would also be willing and able to control all avenues of investigation into it. And there's no better way to do this than make sure any independent networks investigating and questioning the official story would be infiltrated with their agents and classic COINTELPRO tactics utilized to neutralize the threat as much as possible.

I also know that this research network has expanded the efforts to reach more people in many more ways relatively recently. Whereas in the past, we seemed to have a consensus that those who do not have a certain level of discernment, critical thinking abilities, and healthy curiosity to check things out for themselves, probably are not meant to be part of the enormous efforts put forth here for the benefit of humanity at large anyway. And I also know that recently you posted on the forum that this ongoing defamation is not serving the purposes it has in the past from the point of view of our aims (teaching discernment, pathological dynamics, COINTELPRO/disinfo techniques, etc.) and even, as you said in that post, getting over your self-importance and not letting these attacks on you personally and on this network collectively affect you in such a severe way (emotionally and otherwise) as they have in the past. But on the contrary, it is only causing harm at this point.

So putting up the threads that you will gather for newbies is a very good idea. After all, once people put in the effort to read the oceans of long-ago-exposed lies by the core group of pathological liars led by Bridges, Weidner, et al, will make it plain who are the frauds, liars, and hypocrites, not to mention show their many and varied psychopathologies and downright sleezy characters. I have a question though. Isn't it still necessary for those who read all the background material and evidence of who did what and who is who in this dizzying mess of chaos created by the defamers to possess enough discernment and critical thinking abilities, as well as a healthy curiosity to check things out for themselves? In other words, this is an excellent idea to make it easy and gather it all in one place for those willing to check it out. But, on the other hand, the discernment and critical thinking aspects will still play a crucial role whether those new to our community will stay and see what we're about and how the defamation gang has basically given an upside down picture, not to mention their pathological projections and accusing you and the network of exactly what they do.

We realize that most people's ways of thinking have been ponerized to varying degrees and their judgements twisted correspondingly. We've had many examples of this over the years, and it's a struggle that some learn a great deal from and others just give up. What can be done to also help out with this -- making this easier as well for those who are willing to put the efforts into reading all the material, but may still not be so skilled in weeding through the pathological BS. I'm specifically talking about sincere people who just don't know that their thinking is skewed by the ponerized society we live in and/or don't have knowledge and experience of the way pathological people affect us when we come in contact with their twisted minds (even just in the form of the written word).

Maybe have all the important links that deal with these issues in this thread, as well? And then when the newcomers post questions, or whatever, the moderators and the rest of us take it from there to provide more info and assistance so they may make up their own minds.

Because to be honest, it's not an easy thing to read all the rants and raves of the defamation gang. It takes its toll on you, drains your energy, and you need to take breaks to get back to thinking straight, and then continue. All of which takes a whole lot of time. Just thought I'd suggest gathering all pertinent info to help newcomers with these issues in one place, not just, for example, the early email exchanges with Jay Weidner, or the early data collected on Vinny Bridges which he tried every way to get you to take down from the websites because unlike his blatant defamation, what you show with this material is Bridges in his own words and actions -- in other words, the truth about Bridges, not unfounded smears, slander, libel, and defamation.

Just an idea to make it as easy as possible for those who are sincere in their quest for truth and are willing to make the necessary efforts to get to the bottom of it all.

It's really amazing to see how persistent these few individuals are in their drive to attack everything we do. It is also very frustrating and hurtful for Laura to have to read the same old lies repeated over and over again. On the bright side, these people are so petty, so small, and really, so insignificant, that we need not worry about them or the lies they publish. Of course, we will do whatever we have to to combat them, but again, there is not much we have to do when they are forced to resort to creating multiple blogs with the same content in the ass-end of cyber-space that only the bottom-dwellers frequent.

As regards Paul Craig Roberts; Paul has no website of his own, and sends out his articles to a number of different sites, all of whom publish it as originating at their site. I first contacted Paul in June this year asking if he would be interesting in writing for The Dot Connector Magazine, he agreed, and since then we have corresponded and he also regularly sends his latest articles directly to me. It is entirely normal therefore that we publish them on Sott as Sott Focus pieces because very often when he sends them to me they have not been published anywhere on the web yet! Very often, they appear FIRST on Sott.net.

As for changing the title, that allegation is just further evidence of the ridiculously puerile nature of these people's agenda. On more than one occasion Paul has sent me an article which he then resent with an amended title. In the case of Paul's article "The War On Terror", a Sott editor added the "Is a Fraud" in order to clarify the content of the article which explicitly makes the case for the War on Terror being a FRAUD!

And that was a very appropriate thing to do from my standpoint - I go through all of the sott RSS summaries (daily) and forward the best ones to a group of family/friends. Had I not seen that addition to the title, I might have glossed over the article and failed to forward it.

This is the same technique used by a corrupt group of "financial" journalists (such as Gary Weiss) to bring down corporations and individual CEOs (and others) as part of naked short sales in the markets where the stakes are billions of $$. Last night I was reading an account of this from the standpoint of Patrick Byrne - CEO of Overstock.com. I was struck with how much this resembles the attacks on Laura, sott, etc from VB/Weidner and gang. I've only gotten about a third the way through it but it may contain some good ideas about how to deal with the defamation.

I think this is true, but many, many people who encounter even just a fragment of the baloney put out there by these losers are not exercising any critical thinking skills at all. For them, just a word or sentence may be enough to turn them away from any further inquiry. So this strategy is effective for them with a certain percentage of people. Which makes it all the more important to put truth to the lie and make available to all.

Yes, agree with that and particularly what have been said by SeekinTruth! I think he real stories should always be made available in thread like this one, just to make sure that the new readers have access to all sides infos before making their mind.
I know many people who will just trust these nonsenses just because they could come to not access to the other facts based and truthful versions for a reason or another.
