Massive 'drone swarm' in and around New Jersey: UFO flap, govt tech, or mass hysteria?

See further posts. They haven't stopped.
Definitely haven't stopped. My mother saw two over our house last night, flying low, roughly from north west to south east direction, about the size of a TV, with red, green, white and blue lights. She did not wake me up unfortunately but said she understood why so many people get unnerved when they fly near their homes.

Here's something fresh from Denmark.

Danish police investigate sighting of numerous drones over the port of Koege

Updated 9:14 PM GMT+7, January 4, 2025

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Danish police said Saturday they are investigating a report of some 20 drones over the port of Koege, southwest of Copenhagen.

Regional police said in a statement quoted by the Danish Radio that when its officers arrived at the location Friday night they were able to see four large drones over the Koege Marina.

Police had been called to the site by a witness who claimed to have seen some 20 drones that later disappeared into the Koege Bay at high speed.

The police said they were trying to determine the total number of drones and their ownership, as no permission had been issued for drone flights in that area at the time they appeared.

The police are also investigating other sightings of drones amid security concerns linked to Russian hybrid attacks detected in some European countries and Moscow’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

Here's an article in Danish.

Recorded from my balcony Long Island on 1/1/25 evening. I didn’t see any news reports about it.
(...)

At least this can be discarted:

On December 31, 2024, SpaceX will launch its Starlink mission from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This event will feature the Falcon 9 carrying 21 satellites, including 13 with direct cell attachments.

The video recorded from the Long Island balcony is probably Starlink satellites. They have the same pattern and luminosity as in other videos.
Thanks. Starlink is not static. It is always in constant motion. Just saying!

I am not saying you are wrong. It seems to have so little motion, as seen by those who follow Starlink the skis.

The Starlink satellites looked bright again tonight. This is Starlink G12-6, taken from Hiratsuka at 17:19 on January 2, 2025. The group with DTC function was photographed in close-up and played back at actual speed. The spacing has increased considerably.

Launched into the night sky every few days, these satellites form a chain of lights in the sky as they orbit the Earth. The next Starlink launch will take place on March 27. The satellites are fast-moving and travel around the Earth at 17,000 mph, orbiting the Earth once every 90 minutes.Mar 26, 2024

It may not be clear, but the lights are moving.

The relative position of the sky lights to the static landmarks (city buildings) is different at the beginning of the video than at the end of the video.

And the clouds move with the wind to the left and the lights enter vertically upwards into a cloud, at the end of the video.

TinyKlaus does the Patterns Tell Stories podcast, which is very good. He's fairly level-headed and careful (sometimes too careful, IMO) about coming to premature conclusions or accepting evidence that can't be verified. He also lives in New Jersey. Here's a time lapse video he took this evening:

The story may have died down, but that seems mostly because people have been acclimated to the "drones." Residents of NJ still say they're seeing them every night. Same features: low-flying, noiseless (or odd-sounding), flying repetitive patterns for hours on end. When the article stating they had ended came out, for the following days locals (including politicians) were posting on Twitter mocking it.
