There are some reports that a meteor exploded above Cuba and that several fragments hit the ground.

RT said:
A meteor has rocked the skies of western Cuba, exploding mid-air, shattering windows and raining charred meteorite rocks on people’s homes. Before its spectacular demise, the space rock was seen flying above Florida.

The meteor exploded near the town of Viñales, in the Pinar del Río province, Friday, with witnesses reporting hearing two loud blasts as it disintegrated. The body left a huge trail of smoke in the sky and showered the ground with small rocks.

The terrifying celestial event took place in the clear light of day, and locals managed to catch the sky spectacle on their mobile phones.

People are touching the pieces, that might contain potent viruses when they crack. When the C's mentioned this years ago I wondered, how will the insurance companies handle this type of shrapnel damage to people, roofs and cars? Especially if these first "rain drops" will begin to multiply.

The holes and shattered windshields will make cars inoperable and punctured roofs will draw in the cold. Airplane travel will be considered unsafe. Then the potent viruses creeping out from deep inside of the pieces might cause plagues. Potent crop molds like the Irish potato famine, fatal strains for farm animals, Frankenstein-viruses causing Chimera mutations etc..

Thing is, the scientists can’t figure out what made the [Irish] water mold so devastating. From an article in Nature:

[Plant Geneticist Detlef] Weigel’s team also found nothing in the nuclear genomes of the famine strains to explain their ferocity. In fact, the strains lack a gene found in modern strains of P. infestans that overcomes the plant’s resistance genes. And, surprisingly, the famine strain seems less lethal than the P. infestans strains that now cause US$6 billion in crop damage per year. “It seems rather that the potatoes were unusually susceptible,” he says.

Only one positive aspect do I see in the possible coming destruction & mayhem if these meteorite explosions multiply:
The falling pieces could rain down lots of data in form of viruses and this data will readily interface with our human drives, infecting our bio-computer system - DNA based body - with multiple potent viruses that might begin to rewrite entire sections of our DNA and we might get on fast track regards fast mutations and develop all kinds of [so far hidden] powers that were lingering in our junk DNA for ages. We might become happy Chimeras with three arms, four eyes that can see expanded wavelengths, at the same time wielding telepathic powers and levitating or flying around using ultrasound like bats. :-/

A couple of videos of the meteor passing by and of the smoke after the explosion here:

Will humanity heed the message this time?

If there's a specific message related to the time and place of the event, here's my thought association: The US announces it is leaving the INF treaty with Russia, the Universe sends an exploding fireball on the same day over Cuba... Missile Crisis... hmm... 🤔

I used to work in insurance and anything like this, war, riot, or extreme weather conditions would be excluded. At that time something like this would have been considered an 'Act of God' and thus automatically excluded. I very much doubt that they would cover such damage if it were to occur now but I have not worked in insurance for many years so please take what I say under advisement.

But as it were in the days of of Noah so shall it be today. (Matthew 24:37-39).Its good we know how to interpret the scriptures spiritually and not literally.
What a crisis if this space rock was the size of a football field.

Is it that time of the year? Chelyabinsk was also in February.
The Chelyabinsk meteor event happened on the 15th of February 2013. It's interesting that at the moment there are only weaker meteor showers active:

You'd think that this event would cause the PTB to change course, but sadly the opposite is more likely.

Session 19 July 2014

Q: (Chu) On the session when we talked about the interpreters and stuff, the plane {that disappeared, Flight 370}, if I understood correctly, was a message...

(L) It was a warning...

(Chu) To not go too far.

(L) And they've basically answered by saying, "Up yours!"

A: Yes.

Q: (Chu) So would that mean that there really is a "law" that can prevent them from really going full-blown and starting a war?

(L) There's no law that can prevent them, no.

(Chu) They can go to war if they want to. It's just not in their interest to go too far.

(L) I don't think they think about what's in their interest. I think they're too far gone.

(Perceval) Well, hang on... The original idea was that it was some kind of bleedthrough. So, it was a natural thing. It wasn't necessarily a warning from anybody. They just interpreted it that way. They didn't see it as something was telling them, "Don't you dare!"

(L) Yeah, they don't see it that way. But it SHOULD have been a warning IF they had been paying attention.

(Perceval) As in a cause and effect kind of way. If you keep going like this, you're gonna...

(Chu) But the effect would have been that they would have seen it as, "You can't go too far here..."

(L) IF they had understood it. If they had understood that the conditions that were causing bleedthroughs and so on and so forth were a result of their actions and their behaviors globally speaking... If they had understood that, they would have said, "Hmm, weird things are happening. Let's rethink what's going on and what we're doing!" But instead, they interpreted it...

(Pierre) And they did the opposite, and they're raising the ante. They're worsening the situation.

(Perceval) What I was thinking earlier on was that, if the original idea was that they couldn't go too far, as in spark a major war with Russia by sending NATO into the Ukraine or whatever, they backed off from that because of their interpretation of the {disappearance of Flight 370}... As in, a plane went missing, it's a bit dodgy, we don't know what's going on, let's just cool it a bit...

(L) Somebody backed off...

(Perceval) Somebody backed off. So if that's true in that sense, shooting down a plane was like a Plan B or a second option that wasn't the full-scale kind of war {they may have been planning; it was on the level of mass emotional manipulation; an information war as opposed to an actual war. Because it's an all-out information war going on now because of this.

 I am in agreements of a possible Feb event!

As well as taking you through what to see in the night sky each month, Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomers pick their favourite astro news story. For February they're chatting about how citizen scientists observed meteorites striking the Moon's surface during January's lunar eclipse and also about a rare exoplanet discovered by citizen scientists using Kepler spacecraft data. Have a listen below then vote for your favourite news story on our Twitter poll during the first week of the month.

Two astronomical treats await us on the night of February 13th. The first treat of the evening is the conjunction of Mars and Uranus.
Uranus’ magnitude borders on the edge of naked-eye visibility and the planet is often difficult to spot in the night sky. However, on this night, Mars provides observers with the opportunity to locate this distant ice giant.

Using a pair of binoculars, find Mars and you’ll spot blue-green Uranus in the same field of view.

The Chelyabinsk meteor event happened on the 15th of February 2013. It's interesting that at the moment there are only weaker meteor showers active:

Yes it is pretty interesting that both events now happened during a relatively quite shower period, at the same period of the year. Both events would fit with the alpha Centaurids though, classified as "a minor meteor shower", that goes on Feb 02-Feb 19, and peaks on Feb 08.

Maybe a sign that new showers have been created recently, that have not been yet accounted for? Or showers that are new to us, but were not new to some ancients? Or that "minors" might not be so minor after all when it comes to effects on earth? In anyway, it is getting interesting out there. The fact that this one made such headlines, similarly to the russian one, is interesting too. In both cases a lot of existing video evidence could be a reason for it. I guess there have been many similar events the last years, that didn't make the headlines, because there were not enough eyewitnesses and video material of the events.

This one was also a daytime Meteor, while the russian one happened at sunrise.

Maybe it is just a coincidence, but the overall timing is interesting in my opinion since yesterday the USA announced to cancel within the next six months the INF treaty and today Russia followed their example and are also planning to cancel the treaty. With that the quote from Victor Clube comes to mind:

History, it now seems is repeating itself: it has taken the Space Age to revive the Platonist voice of reason but it emerges this time within a modern anti-fundamentalist, anti-apocalyptic tradition over which governments may, as before, be unable to exercise control....Cynics (or modern sophists), in other words, would say that we do not need the celestial threat to disguise Cold War intentions; rather we need the Cold War to disguise celestial intentions! [Emphasis in the original]

Another thing that happened as well this week on Cuba was the strongest Tornado since the 1940s which cause at least four dead people.

Here is what the AMS has to say about February "meteorite dropping fireballs":
Late January and February are known to have an increased rates of meteorite dropping fireballs. Is this a missed perception or reality? If we look back over the last 10 years of meteorite falls, there have been a total of 77 falls from the end of 2009 to the end of 2018. An even distribution of these events over each month would result in .6 meteorites per month/year or 6 meteorites for each month over the last 10 years.

Between January 2009 and January 2018, 9 known meteorites have fallen in the month of February. If we extend to a 6 week period of Jan 15 to Feb 27, the total is 14 meteorites which is 1.5x higher than the even per month distribution.

[A table]

The even distribution of meteorites per week/per year would be .14 meteorite per week of the year or 1.4 meteorites per week over 10 years or 8.4 meteorites in 10 years. Over the last 10 years, the 6 week period of late Jan into February has produced 14 meteorites, which is 1.75x higher than an even distribution.

Maybe there is something to these February meteorites after all.

Aint y'all heard of "The February Fireballs"!?

So says NASA's PR department anyway.

It's not the number of fireballs that has researchers puzzled. So far, fireball counts in February 2012 are about normal. Instead, it's the appearance and trajectory of the fireballs that sets them apart.

"These fireballs are particularly slow and penetrating," explains meteor expert Peter Brown, a physics professor at the University of Western Ontario. "They hit the top of the atmosphere moving slower than 15 km/s, decelerate rapidly, and make it to within 50 km of Earth's surface."

[...] This isn't the first time sky watchers have noticed odd fireballs in February. In fact, the "Fireballs of February" are a bit of a legend in meteor circles.

Brown explains: "Back in the 1960s and 70s, amateur astronomers noticed an increase in the number of bright, sound-producing deep-penetrating fireballs during the month of February. The numbers seemed significant, especially when you consider that there are few people outside at night in winter. Follow-up studies in the late 1980s suggested no big increase in the rate of February fireballs. Nevertheless, we've always wondered if something was going on."

Indeed, a 1990 study by astronomer Ian Holliday suggests that the 'February Fireballs' are real. He analyzed photographic records of about a thousand fireballs from the 1970s and 80s and found evidence for a fireball stream intersecting Earth's orbit in February. He also found signs of fireball streams in late summer and fall. The results are controversial, however. Even Halliday recognized some big statistical uncertainties in his results.
