So getting back to the project, check out my first concept and see what you guys think. The blue manikins will be replaced by politicians. Which by the way we can personalize to famous politicians. I actually have Obama in 3d. Made him for another project and the client I was working for didn't like it, so it looks like he might be coming out of retirement. for the others I was thinking maybe someone from Europe, maybe Putin, and the last guy should be president of Iran.

For the ftp setup, I already have one that we can use if and when we need it.

Well all i can say is WOW! You´ve caught it as i saw it. And i am glad you put in the Lizard.

I know Pob mentioned that he thought the idea was OTT , but i dont see how it can be when that is basically how it is.. or so we think.
No? No point in being abstract at this point in time or so i think.

I volunteered at Pob's request/search for folks who may be interested in working on podcasts so I would bow down to his judgement on this.

Just continuing on this theme and as if it was a goer. Neema. I would think one would only need one politician to represent politics. And i put forward a suggestion that other characters would be
pope or Dali Lama for religion
someone to represent health W.H.O (the image i saw once of a military plane with W.H.O. markings dropping vaccinations springs to mind)

And so on to represent whom ever.

Another add on or idea would be that each of these individual evil doers would take turn to place/wave their hands over the earth as a magician would over a bowl of water and we see the Earth liquify/move like water in a bowl would , to reveal a part of the nastiness they have created.

After each have revealed there nasty doings we see human faces showing , pain , sorrow and fear , this the Alien soaks up.

Thats all i can say at present.

I enjoy modelling and dislike rigging and character animation, I am a bit rusty in character modelling but not clueless nor a star. I never liked the poser models but perhaps they have improved since I last saw one but nevertheless they can be used as an outline.

Remember, work smarter not harder. Over the years I have built up a nice little library of content assets

This is a very good thing, wish I had learnt about backup.

In general that's what an art director does. Brakes down a project into doable segments, and distributes the workload. Parallel I can work with you on whatever level you feel comfortable with, and help you with whatever you are not.

Could you sketch up the stage progression with time estimated intervals, as you see it.

Looks great and suddenly the idea seems a lot less complicated though I still can't see it done in two weeks, but that's just me needing some convincing of schedule and proportions. Your energy to AWTF's idea has changed the setting for me as I felt alone on it before while running my program and also not having a drive for character animation but I could model one and a half of the guys and miscellaneous objects which isn't Obama. Also Sunday as deadline is out the window anyway so I'm ok with extending two weeks and the Reiki course I thought was next weekend started today so I'll first be fully operational by monday.

I would think one would only need one politician to represent politics. And i put forward a suggestion that other characters would be pope or Dali Lama for religion

I agree that symbolism would be clearer with the 'three big ones', and was it Obama dropping bombs? to represent the military-industrial complex.

Ya poser is a bit clunky and clumsy in general, but the pro version has improved somewhat. The program is a bit like a Volkswagen, it's very good overall to get you around, but if you need performance, it's better to go with something else. For conceptual design its very good, and I think it gives you a good base to work with.

For the politicians and symbolism, the detail is totally up to you guys, just let me know who you want in there and I'll go with it. The ideas I had, I just put them out there to get the creative juices going. For now I'll use the manikins for timing.

Approx 15 seconds for intro and less for outro - no more than 10 seconds with website URL and production credits.

Just got it through the mail now. Its 9 seconds which is fine , but ive got it down to 7 and i think without a pause you can get "With the time on the doomsday clock quickly approaching the hour" (no pause or breath from start to this point- you have a pause after clock. i would say there is no need for a pause there.) then you can have a slight pause" its time to join.....hosts names...............(semi pause). "At(name of the radio station)

This should get it nearer to 6 seconds for vocal intro.I am assuming we are going to need all the time we can get for images /graphics leading up to this point. 3 seconds is a long time in politics :)

Ok deadline should be 15th so there is room for a slight miscalculation.
Remember Neema to multiply your estimated stage intervals with 3, to get a realistic setting.
Let's get a realistic concept estimate then we can shrink content pieces to match deadline or divert along the first line of thought; object based and easier done promo.

If at all possible the 13th July would be better, to launch it as a promo a few days before the actual podcast.
