I am seeing a lot of "rest in peace" being expressed. I understand the sentiment. It is an accepted, normal and proper thing to say. But, that is an interesting statement if you stop and think about it. (Before i continue, I have experienced my dog of 14 years die in my arms as I sobbed and wept, so I am not some unfeeling type of person who does not understand) "May you rest in peace" - that is also said about people whose bodies die.
But what about 5D contemplation? What about reincarnating? Maybe that dog is ready to become a human? To start the long road through 3rd density experience? Wouldn't that be great? A true validation of your relationship with that dog? But wait:
That is not exactly resting in peace.
In fact, wouldn't the 'rest in peace' be a kind of unconscious wish for entropic stasis? A nostalgic, sentimental projection of our own desire for peace; release from a stressful existence; pathos?
But like the old saying goes:
There is no rest for the wicked and the pure of heart don't need any.
And dogs are generally always so ready and willing to go, rested or not.
When we weep for the dead do we really weep for them or are we really weeping for ourselves?
How about this: May the consciousness that was in your dog continue on and grow into a human soul.
