Hi everybody, my dog Laika, 11 years old, died suddenly this night but after an agony of 3 hours.

Oh Loreta, I'm so sorry! As others have said, at least Laika had you by her side when she died. She knew she was loved! :hug2: :hug2:

Hi Loreta. I`m so sorry to hear about your best buddy, Laika. I know it`s not an easy thing to go through. Laika will always remain in your heart. All those fond memories. As others have posted, you were there for her until the end. My thoughts are with you Loreta.

I am so very sorry Loreta. I do know pets are family. The loss of a pet can bring sadness and tears. I do not know why, but I feel you will eventually see Laika. I swear that a few of our passed pets have come back to us. Moo was a Calico cat that lived about 17-18 years and to watch her pass... Well.. Brings tears to my eyes as I type. We now have Sissy... The Universe seemed to have dropped her into our household by what could be called an accident, or planned? Sissy is also a Calico cat. Sissy looks and acts weirdly like Moo. Sometimes I think it IS Moo...
 :)

edit: spelling, again... :P

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend and companion, Loreta. Big hugs!! :hug2:

Hi Loreta, my dear friend, I feel so sorry for you as I can relate how one feels when 2D´s companions pass away. One of my dogs also showed the same symptoms during many hours and the vet couldn´t do anything for her. He told me that this same morning he had assisted another dozen of dogs living in the same area than mine that were in the same condition and couldn´t help them either because the poison acted very fast once the dogs had started drinking water in an attempt to calm down the burning sensation in their stomachs. I felt so upset at that time to put a face on the individual who did this!

This may not apply in your case. It´s incredible how fast animals may withdraw themselves from fisical life when they are ill, just letting nature doing its job. Well, who knows if Laika lived longer than she was supposed to after the first epileptic attack, thanks to your care and because she wanted to stay with you...

I am mourning the loss with you too.

I am very sorry for a loss of your best friend. Please take care and big hugs to you :hug2:
It is good that you found the incinerating facility can keep her body for while. May Laika rest in peace and love. :flowers:

I'm so very sorry to hear this Loreta. It's such a hard thing to loose our dear animal friends. Rest in peace, Laika.

Dear Loreta, so sorry for your loss. As others said, what matters that you were with Laika during her last hours, and I am sure that she appreciated it. Such companionship and love are never wasted. Big hug. :hug2:

I'm so sorry Loreta! As others have said, Laika had the chance to be with you when she passed away.

And the most important thing, she knew that she was loved! :hug2: :hug2:

I'm so sorry Loreta! It brings back memories of when our family dog was poisoned when I was 15. Makes me tear up for her and Laika. :(The symptoms you described of your dear friend Laika, sounds exactly the same. Heartbreaking!

Big hug to you -
