Hi Loreta, my dear friend, I feel so sorry for you as I can relate how one feels when 2D´s companions pass away. One of my dogs also showed the same symptoms during many hours and the vet couldn´t do anything for her. He told me that this same morning he had assisted another dozen of dogs living in the same area than mine that were in the same condition and couldn´t help them either because the poison acted very fast once the dogs had started drinking water in an attempt to calm down the burning sensation in their stomachs. I felt so upset at that time to put a face on the individual who did this!
This may not apply in your case. It´s incredible how fast animals may withdraw themselves from fisical life when they are ill, just letting nature doing its job. Well, who knows if Laika lived longer than she was supposed to after the first epileptic attack, thanks to your care and because she wanted to stay with you...
I am mourning the loss with you too.
