Narendra Modi: 'Hero of the Masses' or 'Villain', as liberal English media have portrayed him for 17 years?

This one seems to have developed fast for sure. I am not a huge fan of Modi though he has done some good things, but also the whole idea of Khalistan is just plain BS. I have seen some activity here in AU too by these separatists and its not looking like its heading in the right direction. At a high level, this appears to be a pressure tactic given the success BRICS+ is achieving and one of those desperate moves by the western PTB to destabilize India from within. I think Modi now has built up enough control over the political landscape in India to address this nuisance fast and for good. And, it would be interesting to see Canada's reaction or counter-moves to this whole affair.

I certainly feel for the non-Sikhs (as well as Sikhs who don't buy into this), currently residing in Canada and this can take an ugly turn real fast. One wonders, why Canada has been encouraging mass migration from India, as if they foresaw this as a good opportunity to capitalise on the general divisiveness that exists between different states and castes in India. FWIW

Hmmm, Trudeau's plane full of cocaine, and he stayed in his room for 2 days. And he refused to stay in the hotel arranged by the Indian government, and booked his own hotel. Now, I wonder if that is true...🤔

Trudeau's tone has changed and he now wants good relations with India.

Jan 22nd 2024 is a big day in India and for Hindus around the world. Media, social media all is buzz with excitement with the opening the Rama Mandir at Ayodhya, a logical culmination of resolution of the Rama mandir- Ayodhya dispute in Nov. 2019 . It is a damn big event in a country where religion and politics gets mixed up so often. If one understands the following, all else falls into place.
Q: (Atriedes) Do you mind if your memory and image is used in a religion?

A: As long as it is with understanding of the truth. What is religion anyway but that which binds people together as is showed with my army.
In the rest of world, organized religion controlled kings and emperors, got discredited to force a change of state and church separation. In India, Hinduism doesn't have any organizing body. It does have common set of practices people followed as "Identity" branded by outsiders as Hinduism. It is this "identity" that united against the invaders including British. True, it does have, thousands of religious books, practices, rituals, religious pilgrimages, million gods , priests of whomever one want. Often people add whomever they want - buddha, Jesus and allab, fakirs, gurus and so on. Some points.

Sorry for the premature clicking.

As a buildup to the opening, an large airport is created and 10 billion dollars (in the decade) promised to create self sustaining religious tourist location, marketed as cultural pride and so on. some even called it Hindu Vatican.
Frenzied construction work provided the backdrop in the northern Indian city of Ayodhya - a vast centre to welcome pilgrims, arched sandstone gates, a broad corridor leading to a grand new $217m (£170m) temple for the Hindu deity. A multi-billion dollar makeover has seen swathes of the city bulldozed to turn it into what some Hindu nationalist leaders are calling a "Hindu Vatican".

  • Modi asked public to avoid the day of opening (Jan 22nd 2024) , but asked to come day after that to eternity. This is to avoid the obvious congestion.
  • BJP invited Opposition leaders, who will not come and branded them as "Anti-Hindu" ;-). So all the opposition politicians struggling their own way to project as Hindu supporters as the parliamentary elections are around the corner.
  • But, BJP asked the chief architect in the destruction of the Babri Masjid, Modi's political Guru Lal Krishna Advani to NOT to come to the religious ceremony on Jan 22nd. It is this Lal Krishna Advani who put his life in line during late 80's mandal-masjid saga that set the upward direction for BJP. It is obvious that Modi doesn't want any light on his Guru as he may not control him.
Parliamentary elections in few months ( Mar-May 2024): So the optics will be catered towards it. Any way, Modi's BJP won some highly important state elections recently and expected to come back again with more strongly. Of course, It is not clear whether Modi will stand or not( as his party has 2 term limit), but it looks he will be standing for 3rd term by all signs.

As usual, the Motley crew opposition which Soros, Obamas are openly and actively supporting branded themselves as INDIA coalition (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance). So Modi Govt. is talking of 'Bharat' as the name and giving raise to the rumours that they even change the name of the country to "Bharat". As per Indian constitution,
Article 1 of the Constitution states that “India, that is Bharat, shall be a Union of States.” It's crucial to emphasise that Article 1 of the Constitution recognises both 'India' and 'Bharat' as official names for the country.

As per C's Rama is a Atlantean priest of 50,000 years ago, but this inauguration of Ram temple has nothing to do with that. It is the modern day politics that made him the legend. Here is broad time line as I understand it as of now.

48,000 BCE: As per C's, 25-february-2023
(seek10) The C's mentioned that Hindu god Rama was a high priest influenced by the Confederation. What is his time period?

A: 50k years ago
2300 BCE: The impetus to write Ramayan might have come around this time as all of the major empires disappeared around 2300 BCE as in "Necessity is mother of invention". It is combination of real characters ( Rama), fictional characters (Ravana based on cosmic events) , cosmic background of stars of very ancient time. 27-aug-2022
(seek10) C's mentioned that the Hindu epics Ramayan and Mahabharat are representations of cosmic events. Are they the same event or different events?

A: Multiple events!

Q: (seek10) Is Mahabharat event happened at 1100BC end of bronze age event? If no, what is the event date? If yes, is it related to Victor clube's Enke disintegration event ( 1000 =/- 300 BC )?

A: Close enough. But the main event was the 12900 event.

Q: (seek10) What is the Ramayan's originating cosmic event date?

(L) Well, since they said multiple events, I'm not sure you can divide it up that way. So, next question:

(seek10) Is it the 2300 BC event hypothesised by M.M. Mendelkher?

A: Close enough.
600 BCE: Most of Ramayan story more less stabilized and it was clear that it is based on the very old story written "Valmiki". No body is sure,"Valmiki" is a group of people or a single person written in old Sanskrit. Traditionally it is considered
1528 or 1711 AD?- Destruction of "temple" and construction of Babri Masjid:
  • "Temple" : Based on architectural digs, there is some temple, Is it a Ram temple or some thing else?. At least there is no evidence that it is Ram temple.
  • When? - Based on the Masjid plate, it is built during first moghul Emperor Babur's time ( 1526-1530), but based on many texts written from Babar's time to early 1700's , there are many texts were written and they doesn't mention of destruction of temple and construction of Masjid.
Babri Masjid, the structure which was demolished on 6 December 1992 was not constructed atleast until 1717 CE. This is the official map of Rama Janmabhumi (Ayodhya) dated 1717 CE. It is now in City Palace Museum, Jaipur. This map clearly shows that Ram Temple existed atleast till 1717 CE, though islamist occupation happened earlier. The map belongs to Jai Singh II (or “Sawai Jai Singh”), a Rajput noble in the Mughal court who purchased land and established a Jaisinghpura in the area surrounding the mosque in 1717 (as he had also done in several other Hindu religious places). The documents of Jai Singh preserved in the Kapad-Dwar collection in the City Palace Museum of Jaipur, include this sketch map. It shows an open court yard and a built structure with three temple spires (sikharas) resembling later Babri Masjid with three domes.

The courtyard is labelled janmasthan and shows a Ram chabutra. The central bay of the built structure is labelled chhathi, which also denotes birthplace.

As hindus were prohibited from entering the main chhathi, they built a Chabutra in front yard and consecrated murti of Lord Rama. Sketch map also shows hindus perfoming pradakshinas around Rama Chabutra inside the site.

There are inscriptions on the Babri Masjid premises found in the 20th century state that the mosque was built in 935 AH (1528–29 CE) by Mir Baqi in accordance with the wishes of Babur. However, these inscriptions appear to be of a more recent vintage.
So, the proposed history that Babur ordered to build a masjid in 1528-19 CE is fake !

Baburnama (Chronicles of Babur) does not mention either the mosque or the destruction of a temple. Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas (1574 CE) and Ain-i Akbari of Abu’l-Fazl ibn Mubarak (1598 CE) made no mention of a mosque either.

William Finch, the English traveller who visited Ayodhya around 1611 CE, wrote about the “ruins of the Ranichand [Ramachand] castle and houses” where Hindus believed the great God “took flesh upon him to see the tamasha of the world.” He found pandas (Brahmin priests) in the ruins of the fort, recording the names of pilgrims, but there was no mention of a mosque.

Thomas Herbert described in 1634 CE the “pretty old castle of Ranichand built by a Bannyan Pagod of that name” which he described as an antique monument that was “especially memorable“. He also recorded the fact of Brahmins recording the names of pilgrims.

European Jesuit missionary Joseph Tiefenthaler, who lived and worked in India for 38 years (1743–1785 CE) and wrote numerous works about India, visited Ayodhya in 1767 CE. Johann Bernoulli translated his work Descriptio Indiae (in Latin) into French, published in 1788 CE. According to this account, Aurangzeb (r. 1658–1707 CE) had demolished the Ramkot fortress, including the house that was considered as the birthplace of Rama by Hindus. A mosque with three domes was constructed in its place.
1857 or 1853 - Date on which Ramchabutara (small platform illegally placed) is placed in Babri Masjid complex: Here too, two versions exist.
In 1853 CE, a group of armed Hindu ascetics belonging to the Nirmohi Akhara occupied the site, and claimed ownership of the structure. Periodic violence erupted in the next two years, and the civil administration had to step in, refusing permission to build a temple or to use it as a place of worship.

In 1855 CE, after a Hindu-Muslim clash, a boundary wall was constructed to avoid further disputes. It divided the mosque premises into two courtyards; the Muslims offered prayers in the inner courtyard. The Hindus offered their prayers on a raised platform, known as “Ram Chabutara“, in the outer courtyard.
Lot of attempts were made to construct temple since then, it was squashed by the rulers ( Whether it is British rulers or Secular Nehru-Gandhi dynasty)

Dec 22nd 1949: This is the one of the most important date in this saga. The Day on which it showed up by "miracle" as per popular myth, if one wants to believe. As per the FIR ( first information report) filed on Dec 23rd 1949 in Faizabad court, it is planted by Naga Vairagi named Abhiram Das ( Vairagi means ascetic of Vishnu devotee). There is a whole set of political/legal/religious drama went in to it to keep the idol in the masjid for 75 years.

As per the authors of the book Ayodhya: The Dark Night — The Secret History of Ramas Appearance In Babri Masjid , it is a BIG CONSPIRACY hatched by the Hindu Mahasabha (originating predecessor of BJP) to project them selves as a champion of Hindu cause after their member (Nadhuram Godse) assassinated M.K. Gandhi and subsequent clampdown on them by Nehru Govt. and public attacks on them. They have done a fantastic job in laying out sequence of events of nuts and bolts.
  • There is a plaque in front of Babri Masjid/Ayodhya temple even to this day saying the sentry of Babri Masjid saw a stream of light on that night and baby Ram's idol appeared after that.
    • That is THE only way the sentry can avoid Jail and ruin. He can't say that his local administration bosses conspired with local ascetics to intrude and place baby ram idol there. It is "miracle" theme keep on coming whenever one is in trouble ( Judges/sentries/local administration etc.)
Here is a article on it, though it is highly flavored by Indian communist political ideology and spin.
6 December 1992- Demolition of the Masjid:

The story of last 100 years is more or less summarized well in this video.
Just like in Ramayan story where monkeys played crucial role, they play in this Mandir saga too.
Story of the iconic monkey image of Ram Mandir movement
It was October 30, 1990, a day India will never forget. An iconic photo from that historic day of the Ram Mandir movement has returned to our collective memory as the country prepares for the 'Pran Pratishtha' (consecration) ceremony of Lord Ram's idol at Ayodhya on January 22.

Around 28,000 personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Armed Constabulary were deployed in Ayodhya on October 30, 1990, to thwart the Ram Mandir 'Kar seva' organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
...
The entire road to the Babri Masjid was barricaded, with a sea of armed khaki-clad men securing it.

"Amid the struggle between the karsevaks and the security personnel, a sadhu who knew how to drive a bus jumped onto the seat of a police bus that was used to detain some karsevaks," Swami Vigyananand, Joint General Secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, tells IndiaToday.in.

Calling it a "watershed moment", Swami Vigyananand says, "The sadhu ploughed through the barricades and opened the road for hundreds of karsevaks."

"Karsevaks braved hundreds of security personnel and trooped towards the disputed Babri Masjid. Some of them managed to climb on the dome of the disputed structure and planted 'Bhagwa Dhwaj' (saffron flags)," says Swami Vigyananand.

The security personnel deputed there soon began lathi-charging and shooting at the karsevaks.

"Facing the offensive by the security personnel, the karsevaks were forced to retreat by the evening," says Swami Vigyananand.

Officials wanted the saffron flags removed from the domes but were faced with a unique situation.

"They found that a monkey had taken position on the middle dome of the mosque. The police personnel saw the monkey as an avatar of Lord Hanuman who had appeared to protect the flag. They were unwilling to disturb it," he says.

"The monkey kept sitting near the flag for hours. Late at night, after the monkey left the dome, three-four jawans climbed atop the dome and removed the flag," says Swami Vigyananand.

{My comment: It could be that Monkey got scared of the crowd and police with sticks went to the highest place visible and sat there, but people interpreted it is avatar of Lord Hanuman. It is same miracle theme repeating over and over in this entire saga, whenever one is in a fix }
he VHP functionary shared with IndiaToday.in the iconic image of the monkey atop the dome, which was carried by several Hindi newspapers on November 1, 1990.

Though official records say 20 people were killed in the police firing ordered by Mulayam Singh Yadav on October 30 and November 2, eyewitness accounts put the number at scores. An Ayodhya-based journalist who has documented the attack on karsevaks says that the volunteers were fired upon even from a helicopter.

There has been recurring imagery of the monkey (a symbol of Hanuman) in the entire Ram Mandir movement.

Another photo from India Today's archives takes the story further. This photo is from July 23, 1992, and clicked by Pramod Pushkarna.

'Kar sewa' for the Mandir was suspended after the brutal killings of the karsevaks and initiated in July 1992. Though karsevaks reached Ayodhya, the programme was postponed, says Swami Vigyananand.

The 1992 photo also shows a monkey sitting on the central dome of the Babri Masjid.

"I was intrigued that while security personnel and barricades prevented people from reaching the disputed spot, a monkey had reached the top of the dome," Pramod Pushkarna tells IndiaToday.in, when asked what made him take that photo.

Monkey on a Babri Masjid Dome.

Photojournalist Pramod Pushkarna, now 76, says he made several trips to Ayodhya during the Ram Mandir Movement days. He says people were calling the monkey “Hanuman ka avatar”.

“There were a lot of restrictions in Ayodhya then. We used to hide behind buildings or climb onto roofs to take photographs. That was the time Ayodhya Movement was on full steam,” says Pushkarna.

He also recalls the time when a group of journalists rescued and took a bleeding Ashok Singhal, then VHP Working President, to hospital. Singhal was badly injured in the police lathi charge on karsevaks.

MONKEY INSPIRED OPENING OF TEMPLE DOORS

The reference to monkeys in the Ayodhya Mandir case can also be found in the autobiography of KM Pandey, who, as the Faizabad district judge on February 1, 1986, ordered that the doors of the Babri Masjid be opened for devotees to the ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla idol.

In his autobiography ‘Voice of Conscience, published in the 1990s, Pandey mentions a “divine power” behind his judgment.

“On the date of the order when orders for opening locks were passed, a Black Monkey was sitting for the whole day on the roof of the court room in which the hearing was going on, holding the flag-post. Thousands of people of Faizabad and Ayodhya who were present to hear the final orders of the court had offered him groundnuts and various fruits. Strangely, the said Monkey did not touch any of the offerings and left the place when the final order was passed at 4.40 pm,” writes Pandey.

“The District Magistrate and SSP escorted me to my bungalow. The said monkey was present in the verandah of my bungalow. I was surprised to see him. I just saluted him, treating him to be some divine power,” he writes in ‘Voice of Conscience’.

KM Pandey’s order to unlock the doors of Babri Masjid was overturned by the High Court. It was to be part of a lengthy legal process that started with an FIR in 1858 after Nihang Sikhs barged into the disputed mosque and performed a ‘havan’.

MONKEYS AND SUPREME COURT VERDICT

Senior advocate and former attorney general K Parasaran, who successfully argued the case for Ram Lalla Virajman, also talked about monkeys in a video in reference to the Ram Janmabhoomi case.

The five-judge bench of the Supreme Court delivered the landmark verdict, ordering the 2.77 acres of land to be handed over to a Ram Janmabhoomi trust for the construction of a Ram temple, on November 9, 2019.

K Parasaran said the verdict was delivered on a Saturday and on the subsequent Monday, 30–40 monkeys appeared from nowhere on the terrace of his residence in Delhi.

“I was out on the open terrace on the second floor, about 30 or 40 monkeys came. Can't imagine so many monkeys, and that too at 8.45 PM,” says Parasaran.

"And they were playing, jumping, kicking.... Lord Ram took care of it... 69 years he waited for it," says Parasaran.

Monkeys have been perceived by devotees throughout the Ram Mandir movement as a manifestation of the divine. The iconic October 1990 image of the monkey, splashed across newspapers, was one in that thread

Interesting article on how India handling the foreign policy situation while maintaining good relationship with USA and Russia. India's finance minister S Jayashankar is career bureaucrat (not a politician) which Modi tapped into became very popular in the social media while navigating the complicated situations.

S Jaishankar's retort to India buying Russian oil, Blinken breaks into a smile

Doubling down on the continued purchase of oil from Russia, External Affairs S Jaishankar said it shouldn't be a problem for others if India had "multiple options" and was "smart enough" to go with what works for it.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has firmly defended India's decision to buy Russian oil despite Western sanctions, stating it shouldn't be a concern for others.

During a panel discussion at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, Jaishankar was asked about India's balancing act between its growing ties with the United States and continuing trade with Russia. In his typical no-nonsense style, he replied, “Is that a problem, why should that be a problem? If I am smart enough to have multiple options, you should be admiring me.”
...
Jaishankar's retort elicited smiles from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and German Foreign Affairs Minister Annalena Baerbock, who were also part of the panel. The Foreign Minister further stated that it is unrealistic to expect countries to maintain unidimensional relationships in today's interconnected world.
His comments come against the backdrop of the West’s disapproval of India's continued oil trade with Russia amidst the latter's conflict with Ukraine. Previously, Jaishankar sharply repudiated such criticism by pointing out the disparity in Europe's oil purchases from Russia compared to India's, arguing that India's monthly purchase of Russian oil is less than what Europe buys in an afternoon.

He had also stated that India prevented a surge in global oil prices with its purchase policies, which in turn prevented potential competition with Europe in the market.

Jaishankar stated that India had made its position on the Russia-Ukraine conflict amply clear by repeatedly advocating for dialogue, diplomacy, and an immediate cessation of violence.

He also acknowledged the differences between India's relationships with the US and Russia.

Different countries and different relationships have different histories... We are not purely unsentimentally transactional... I don't want you to even inadvertently give the impression that we are purely unsentimentally transactional. We are not, we get along with people But sometimes, there will be choices, you say I'll pass on that,” he said.

Pushing back against critics who seek to portray India as "anti-West", Jaishankar distinguished New Delhi as "non-West" but deeply engaged with Western countries.

It's important today to make a distinction, between being non-West and anti-West, I'd not only characterise India as a country, which is non-West but which has an extremely strong relation with the Western countries, getting better by the days,” he detailed.
West can't do much with India's stance.

India with its huge diversity (land of Large number of small groups) this type of stance is pretty common, while Northern hemisphere went into binary mode (Britain/West/America vs USSR/East/Russia ) for the last few centuries.

There are innumerable names thrown on Modi since he was air dropped into the chair of Gujarat Chief minister since 2001. At this time, he never "Hero of Hatred", "Mass Murderer", Aurangajab ( Mughlar ruler who was anti-Hindu) , dictator, "Divider in-chief", "Bigot". To add little comedy to the list, here is one tweet from Modi's right hand man and current Home minister Amit Shah in 2017.
Yamraj ( Hindu mythology "death of God") , Maut Ka Saudagar ( King of death) , Ravan ( Villian of Hindu epic Ramayan) , Gandi Nali Ka Keeda ( fly of dirty stream) , Monkey, Rabies Victim, Virus, Bhasmasur ( Hindu mythological Villain who has the ability burn any body instantly) , Gangu Teli( racist comment on his "Oil-presser" caste ), Goon etc. The list goes on.

Nothing stopped him. He became 3 time Gujarat Chief Minister. Each time every body expected him to lose, but won for every body's surprise. The more media vilified him, more development he showed and inspired more folks across the nation, that lead him to become prime minister in 2014 and second time in 2019 with majority on his own. This is a rare event in Indian politics of diverse identities and conflicts where "Anti-incumbency" plays a major role.
Voting for Indian parliamentary elections are due to start 19 April 2024 and conclude on 1 June 2024. Over the years, many words or slogans coined to represent his achievements. Many of the problems which everybody that impossible to solve since the independence, he solved them that earned him many names including " Modi hai tho kuch bhi na munkin" (If Modi is there, nothing is impossible).

Latest one that depicts the confidence is "Modi's Guarantee". This "Modi Guarantee" slogan worked very well in the recent assembly polls. Here is pdf of the party manifesto for this parliamentary election.
For the people who saw the same politicians who come every 5 years (or less) to their door steps, promising "every thing" (decade after decade) and deliver nothing, doesn't mind to to vote for him again. That doesn't mean every thing is hunky dory and happy ever after, which never happens in this world.

Vote casting of 960 million voters for 543 India's parliamentary seats in 7 phases are complete and exit poll results are out. Exit polls can't be published until all phases of voting are complete. Modi wave is much more stronger than last 2 terms. 415 million people pulled out of poverty in the last 10 years is showing up in the elections. True, there are crazy amount of nuts and bolts to the whole thing.

1717261026546.png
Historically, most accurate opinion polls are from Today's Chanakya( 99% accuracy) and India Today-Axis My India polls showing the magical number of 400, which Modi touted this February and every body thought he must be crazy. The main difference is South India where Modi's party BJP didn't have much hold joined the other parts in voting for Modi. What is interesting is Modi's party gave very few Freebies than the opposition, still got the crazy victory.

Even India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru who won 3 terms faced with reduced margin as time went by, but that is not the case with Modi. In a way, every body knows it is only a formality after last years assembly elections in big states like Uttar Pradesh, but 400 number was beyond comprehension. He has the pulse of nation and people are seeing the roads, airports, benefits in their bank accounts and country did LOT better than the rest of the world during the covid mess.

In his tradition of tackling of what is considered as 'untouchable' topics in the first 6 months( to have time to adjust the fall out, if any) there are some big ticket items in pipeline. Last term, he did took on some very big items - Kashmir, Ram Mandir issue and so on. This time, one big issue in the line - 'Uniform Civil Code'. India despite 75 years of independence, it is doesn't have common civil code. Muslims have their civil code that conflicts with rest and endless confusion.

Who or what is 'Hindu' is damn confusing mess even for the India's Supreme Court as all theories out there doesn't fit to the ground reality. Here is one recent article which is reflection of it.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ruled that a marriage between a Muslim man and a Hindu woman was not valid under Muslim personal law. The court also dismissed a plea for police protection to register an inter-faith marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954.

Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia said the marriage between a Muslim man and a Hindu woman would be deemed as an "irregular" marriage under Muslim law even if they are married under the Special Marriage Act, according to a Bar and Bench report.

"As per Mahomedan law, the marriage of a Muslim boy with a girl who is an idolatress or a fire-worshipper, is not a valid marriage. Even if the marriage is registered under the Special Marriage Act, the marriage would no longer be a valid marriage, and it would be an irregular (fasid) marriage," the high court said in its order on May 27.

Well, as it turned out the exit polls that were correct before ( last 2 terms) turned to be incorrect (from Today's Chanakya and India Today-Axis My India) this time. Modi's coalition group NDA could only get 292 ( 240 for Modi's BJP - short of 32 seats for 272 needed) instead of 400 they promoted it.
1717546051726.png
i.e. Modi's BJP by themselves can't form the government even though they fought as group. But his alliance partners who has influential number of seats in this election ( TDP -16 seats , JD(U) -12 ) were extremely unreliable. There were news of both NDA and INDIA group reaching out to TDP and JD(U) for support. For now, they mentioned coalition stands and will support Modi. Now, Modi can't implement any big ticket changes this time. But one will never know what happens tomorrow as there are no permanent friends or enemies in Indian politics.

This video depicts well of India's opposition situation( renamed themselves as "INDIA").
But, One can't ignore the influence of Soro's & co who sponsored INDIA coalition's Rahul Gandhi's visit to USA and god knows how many NGO's they sponsored/still sponsoring.

Obvious question is What went wrong with Exit polls and Modi's party's calculations which worked very well before. We will get more clarity in few days. For now, few theories circling around are:
  • India's Biggest State Uttar Pradesh has 80 seats in parliament. BJP won last year the assembly elections with big majority for 2 times in a row ( which is rare for the state). It is told that road to Delhi goes through Uttar Pradesh. so every body thought BJP will get atleast 70 to 80 seats there, but only got 36. The reason seems to be selection of candidates, that irritated influential Rajput's and opposition cashed on it.
  • Exit polls that were correct many states, turned out to be incorrect in some states that made the difference.

https://covertactionmagazine.com/20...-indian-occupied-kashmir-where-is-the-outcry/

Trying to get my head around India and its trajectory. Now some things look at odds and other things don't. In this respect, came across the above article written by Jeremy Kuzmarov on the U.S. doing what it does so well, spreading and financing weapons sales:

In early February, the U.S. State Department approved nearly $4 billion in drone sales to India, adding to the $20 billion worth of U.S.-origin defense material the U.S. had sold to India since 2008.

Can't recall who said it, although think it had to do with Libya or Syria and the jihadis, and the latter shifting towards China (this was a fear as some have said that this path through India to China is a western military Key).

Jeremy goes on to say:

The Biden administration has sought to court India as part of its efforts to counter China in the Indo-Pacific region, while prying it away from Russia. Biden called the U.S.-India relationship “the defining partnership of the 21st century,” while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that our countries’ ties are “shaping lives, dreams, and destinies.”

This then gets into a history starting in Kashmir, yet note that this is more a review of a book by Farhan Chak - Nuclear Flashpoint: The War Over Kashmir:

Farhan M. Chak’s recent book, Nuclear Flashpoint: The War Over Kashmir (London: Pluto Press, 2024), shows that many of the lives and destinies are being shaped in horrific ways.

This is particularly true of the Muslim majority in Indian-occupied Kashmir, one of the most militarized spaces on the planet, which has become a nuclear flashpoint as Modi’s government intensifies tensions with Pakistan and China.

Background:

1723848880595.png

Several of his family members were killed in the 1947 genocide in Kashmir perpetrated by the Hindu Dogra family, which was installed by the British and would not cede power peacefully following the demise of the British Empire and the formation of the independent nations of India and Pakistan.

Kashmiri Muslims trace the beginning of their occupation to the 1846 Treaty of Amritsar signed between the British East India Company and Raja Gulab Singh, the chief of the Dogra family, in which all of Kashmir was sold for the paltry sum of 7.5 million rupees without the population’s consent.[1]

The Dogras were given military support by the British to sustain their rule over the Muslim Kashmiris whom they treated as slaves. In return, the Dogras promised the British overlords the cannon fodder their imperialistic endeavors required.

After the signing of the Treaty of Amritsar, the last indigenous sovereign ruler of Kashmir, Yusuf Shah Chak, a direct ancestor of Farhan M. Chak, was imprisoned and poisoned to death.[2]

In early 1931, a rebellion erupted after a Hindu police officer was charged with desecrating the Holy Quran, forcing the British to send three companies of armed troops to support the suppression of the rebellion by the Dogra rulers.[3]

The violence served as a prelude to the 1947 genocide where Chak has estimated that between 237,000 and 500,000 Kashmiri Muslims were killed.[4] Afterwards, two new political entities—India and Pakistan—were created, with parts of Kashmir incorporated into both.

In October 1947, Kashmiris fought with Pakistani irregular forces in liberating Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from the Dogra. When Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh appealed to India for military support, they formed an alliance on the condition that Singh would yield the Muslim majority state of Kashmir to India, which has controlled much of them ever since.[5]

Kashmiris, however, do not see Indian control as legitimate because the Maharaja was an imposed ruler placed over Kashmir by British madate, not the indigenous people who were never consulted.

The Indian government’s entire narrative today in legitimating their rule in Kashmir rests on their armed intervention being a consequence of a “tribal invasion by Pakistan” that they supposedly defended India against.

However, Pakistanis were well within their rights to try to liberate the oppressed Muslim people of Kashmir, who had been subjected to genocide and have been heavily persecuted ever since.

Significantly, Indian troops who participated in the genocide had been stationed in Kashmir before the “Pakistani tribal invasion,” and a Hindu Prime Minister was removed and then imprisoned after he vocally opposed Kashmir’s accession to India.[6]

Objective analysts today refer to India’s position in Kashmir as one of “unlawful occupation” going back to the 1940s.[7] Chak estimates that, over the last 30 years, nearly 100,000 Kashmiri Muslims have been killed by Indian occupation troops.[8]

The current Indian government led by Narendra Modi promotes a mythic historical narrative while attempting to tighten its rule over Kashmir and Hinduize it.

Modi is a member of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has ruled India since 2014.

When Modi was governor of Gujarat in the mid 2000s, he was banned from entering the U.S. over religious violence that he helped to incite.

A criminal complaint filed in an Australian court charged Modi with ordering police to stand aside and allow Hindu mobs to rampage across Muslim-majority areas, resulting in the deaths of about 2,000 people and the destruction of the homes and businesses of 20,000 Muslims.

As India’s Prime Minister, Modi has furthered discriminatory policies against Muslims while helping to transform Kashmir into what Chak calls an “open air prison” reminiscent of Gaza pre- and post-October 7.

Chak reports on forced conversions and land thefts by the Indian government, and “cow vigilantism,” where BJP supporters roam the Kashmiri countryside searching for those whom they claim are unlawfully slaughtering cows who they steal from and then lynch.[9]

Some BJP officials have openly called for ethnic cleansing along the Israeli model in Gaza.

The reputable NGO Genocide Watch, led by Dr. Gregory Stanton, has issued two genocide alerts for Kashmir. Muslim rights are being systematically violated there through extrajudicial killings, unlawful arrest, torture and forced displacement.[10]

The final chapter of Chak’s book addresses India’s growing anti-China alliance with the U.S. and the danger of a war with China breaking out.

A June 2020 border clash leaving 20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers dead could portend greater conflict if Modi continues to “tether India’s geopolitical horse to the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy.”[11]

According to Chak, India was better off when it adopted a policy of strategic autonomy in which it sustained good relations with both the U.S. and China and cleverly tried to play each country off the other to maximize India’s advantage.

In a devastating move for Sino-Indian relations, Modi’s India has become part of the Quad, an anti-China alliance with Australia, the UK and Japan, while carrying out more military exercises with the U.S. in proximity to China’s border.

These measures, combined with India’s aggressive drives into Kashmir in violation of Pakistani and Chinese claims there, have greatly increased regional tensions and the threat of nuclear conflagration since India, Pakistan and China are all nuclear-armed powers.

On a state visit to Washington in late June, Narendra Modi was given the red-carpet treatment and feted at a gala dinner attended by some of Silicon Valley’s biggest names.

Most of the gala guests were probably unaware of the horrific atrocities being carried out in Kashmir, as they have gone largely unreported in the U.S. media and are rarely publicized by human rights NGOs or by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which primarily spotlights human rights abuses by U.S. enemies.

With a flush supply of U.S. weapons and no public outcry, Modi has carte blanche to do whatever he wants; a shame for Kashmiris and others living in the region who would bear the brunt of an all-out war that is slowly being provoked by the U.S.

A mess, the region will get played on all sides, and is likely not going to get better anytime soon.

I will put my comments. but, it will be long as this line of articles are pretty common in the West and tend to repeat itself.

During colonial times, "Minority can't live under Majority" is the British excuse to create one Muslim nation (Pakistan) and other nation called India. Though India(aka Majority Hindus) are secular in practice but there is NO uniform civil Code. Hindu laws were changed left and right. Muslims has their religious rules which is different from equality of population. Obviously touching Muslim laws is a hell of problem, but the none the less Modi would have done very easily if he had majority. But being what he is, he will try in his third term ( called 'secular civil code'), but won't be that easy.

Muslim nation Pakistan couldn't keep itself as one ( now Pakistan and Bangladesh) for even 25 years. Colonial Narration's later version is "Hindus are Killing Muslims" and is used for so many political purposes outside India. Given that modern intelligentsia got educated on History laced with colonial historical background (aka censorships and control), they can't see any thing different. It doesn't matter what the ground reality is and West is too sure of their things in the name of "Science". That doesn't mean, every thing is peaceful, tension does keep coming back.

India is so diverse, you can get any flavor you want and add it what ever the base you want and you can propagate it according to one's needs. That is what colonial Britain did and continue to do if it fits its agenda. Latest being is Soros/Obama & Co, making public statements before this year elections saying south India is different from North India. Whether nation (aka its people) will learn the lesson from Colonial era or not , its a question only time will tell.

India's foreign policy is unconventional w.r.t Western self-proclaimed binary "reality" - NATO vs WARSAW , capitalism vs communism , you against me and so on. Worse, West can't even perceive any thing different than that. When India got independent in 1947, it neither chose communism nor capitalism. It is more like communist 5 year financial planning with democracy with strict control over industry that produced elephant paced growth and created License Raj bureaucracy with colonial entitled mindset. Obviously it didn't work.

Remember recent German politician claiming "West is a Garden and Rest is Jungle" non sense. But West already forgot the basic fact that mere 200 years back, there were so many "Native American" or "American Indian" tribes with complete diverse way of life (and fought with each other) to the point, most wondered whether there is a commonality between the native American tribes . That is the success of modern Propaganda of "development" of so-called "Science", "statistics" and "education" to streamline masses.

Trying to get my head around India and its trajectory. Now some things look at odds and other things don't. In this respect, came across the above article written by Jeremy Kuzmarov on the U.S. doing what it does so well, spreading and financing weapons sales:
Before I know the trajectory of my own life ( forget about the country) 30 years back, I read in a publication my neighbor subscribes to (from his spiritual guru in Bangalore). There was prediction in it that said "India will become power and challenge super power China during the end of time". No need to say I called it "BS" and "Non sense". Obviously we all heard many predictions in our life and we tend to revisit them only if one finds it relevant in future.
  • China utterly defeated off-guard India in 1962, snatched part of Ladhak leaving Nehru discredited and crippled to his death.
  • China was not power in any sense at that time and forget about India challenging China.
  • 30 years back, India was on the verge of bankruptcy with only had 3 weeks of foreign currency for gas purchases and forget about all else. In an desperate attempt, then Indian prime minister
  • Punjab (Nothing to do with Muslims, thanks to US supplies to Pakistan ( Afghan war) transferred to Sikh separatists) and Kashmir were burning daily news ( same supplies to Muslim separatists in Jammu & Kashmir) of countless murders. 100K Jammu Hindus forced to migrate out of Jammu.
  • There are many problems that country had including assassination of Rajiv Gandhi ( By Tamil Militants) and early days of Left vs Right realignments etc.
Let me parse the article.
In early February, the U.S. State Department approved nearly $4 billion in drone sales to India, adding to the $20 billion worth of U.S.-origin defense material the U.S. had sold to India since 2008.

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said afterwards that “the U.S.-India defense partnership has seen significant growth over the past decade,” noting that the sale of 31 MQ-9B SkyGuardian aircraft made by General Atomics “offered significant potential to further advance strategic technology cooperation with India and military cooperation in the region.”
True, India's Military expenditure with West has increased recently as it diversified its supplies as Russia military aircrafts keep on crashing and killing people. As a buyer why one should need to bogged down with the ideology?
The Biden administration has sought to court India as part of its efforts to counter China in the Indo-Pacific region, while prying it away from Russia.
True, West wants to influence India and that is part of Geopolitics of any country in any era.
Biden called the U.S.-India relationship “the defining partnership of the 21st century,” while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that our countries’ ties are “shaping lives, dreams, and destinies.”
He makes similar statement even if one is Trump or Putin or Hillary or Biden. Nothing new there. Modi is a rare politician who can touch any person from street corner beggar to World leader. That is his selling point that perfected being street Tea seller to his RSS volunteer to low level party worker to accidental chief minister of Gujarat in 2001.
Farhan M. Chak’s recent book, Nuclear Flashpoint: The War Over Kashmir (London: Pluto Press, 2024), shows that many of the lives and destinies are being shaped in horrific ways.
Horror is part of most of the countries, particularly a nation that doesn't depend on currency that comes out of thin air. Thank the overlords.
This is particularly true of the Muslim majority in Indian-occupied Kashmir, one of the most militarized spaces on the planet, which has become a nuclear flashpoint as Modi’s government intensifies tensions with Pakistan and China.
This stick of "Nuclear War" is remnant of West's Cold war programming to sell the books and articles. That's why I find it interesting when Putin uses 'Nuclear threat' to calm West down.

It doesn't mean it wouldn't happen. Let's not forget that tensions are colonial creations and nothing unique to that area. That's why they fight with stones, fists and sticks. Can the Western countries do that?
hak is a visiting faculty member at Georgetown University and Secretary General of Kashmir Civitas, an organization committed to the emancipation of Kashmir.
Hak's narrow views and bias is obvious in his book and the article author is only repeating the same biases.
Several of his family members were killed in the 1947 genocide in Kashmir perpetrated by the Hindu Dogra family, which was installed by the British and would not cede power peacefully following the demise of the British Empire and the formation of the independent nations of India and Pakistan.
.5 to 1.5 Million were killed during 1947 India Pakistan division and Hindu- Muslim migrations across the border when Britain tried to hand wash India with 3 months notice. Who was not effected? In fact that emotional scars exist in every India, whether It is Hindu or Muslim.
Kashmir existed LONG before 1846 and There are many Sanskrit texts written many many thousands years ago.
The Dogras were given military support by the British to sustain their rule over the Muslim Kashmiris whom they treated as slaves. In return, the Dogras promised the British overlords the cannon fodder their imperialistic endeavors required.
Heck, British did this to every body, lower caste vs upper caste, south vs north, brahmin vs non-brahmin, neighbor vs neighbor. Whatever worked British did to claim themselves overlords of "uncivilized" people and but India was their "Crown Jewel". But their "glory" ended with WW II where Hitler tried to create "Aryan Race". But When we look at where "Aryan business" came from during the recent times, that too came from Indian Sanskrit texts though racial purity business doesn't exist( except in some remote corners).
After the signing of the Treaty of Amritsar, the last indigenous sovereign ruler of Kashmir, Yusuf Shah Chak, a direct ancestor of Farhan M. Chak, was imprisoned and poisoned to death.[2]
so, this "Muslims are victims and Hindu's are aggressors" binary narration is personal projection to appeal gullible western "virtue value" system.
In early 1931, a rebellion erupted after a Hindu police officer was charged with desecrating the Holy Quran, forcing the British to send three companies of armed troops to support the suppression of the rebellion by the Dogra rulers.[3]
Whether that is Hindu officer or some body else, violence erupts even to day. What about saga's like Charlee Hubdo or Satanic Verses and other immigrant violence in modern day West?
The violence served as a prelude to the 1947 genocide where Chak has estimated that between 237,000 and 500,000 Kashmiri Muslims were killed.[4] Afterwards, two new political entities—India and Pakistan—were created, with parts of Kashmir incorporated into both.
Kashmir, Punjab, Bengal are borders of land when India Pakistan division happened and Millions of families that lived for centuries with their small scale livelihood forced to relinquish every thing to migrate on foot, bullock carts, crowded small trains. Around Million died. That is nothing specific to Kashmiri Muslims. people died all over the place and it took few generations for the people piece together and that is nothing specific "Muslim"
In October 1947, Kashmiris fought with Pakistani irregular forces in liberating Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from the Dogra. When Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh appealed to India for military support, they formed an alliance on the condition that Singh would yield the Muslim majority state of Kashmir to India, which has controlled much of them ever since.[5]
Detailed documented literature exist with details of (day to day updates) to say It is Kashmiri's who alerted Indian authorities and blocking the crucial junctions. It is not even Pakistani regulars who invaded, it is Pakistani "mercenaries" who invaded India that is why India even able to retain a piece. Why? Nehru hated war, so his focus was not there on Kashmir. He wants to trust his comrade Shiek Abdullah, fellow freedom fighter to control the situation. Well,
Kashmiris, however, do not see Indian control as legitimate because the Maharaja was an imposed ruler placed over Kashmir by British madate, not the indigenous people who were never consulted.
That is true for the rest of India too. Nothing unjust in it. The problem statement during Gandhi's fight is based on British 'divide and rule'. So unite when they left before things goes out of control.

So does Indians have "right" to defend their territory.
Significantly, Indian troops who participated in the genocide had been stationed in Kashmir before the “Pakistani tribal invasion,” and a Hindu Prime Minister was removed and then imprisoned after he vocally opposed Kashmir’s accession to India.[6]
Lot of killings and imprisonments happened during those chaotic times. One has to remember India is very dense country and livelihood of each other dependent on each other.
Objective analysts today refer to India’s position in Kashmir as one of “unlawful occupation” going back to the 1940s.[7]
What is Objective or who are those analysts who can decide the territorial claims of others?
Chak estimates that, over the last 30 years, nearly 100,000 Kashmiri Muslims have been killed by Indian occupation troops.[8]
In my view it is absolute NON SENSE. This author absolutely has no clue of "passion" of Indian Muslim. I will give one example. Recently Modi fired one of his party member for slipping her guard in saying Mohammad married a child. It is written in their texts. But when Iran got involved, he sensed something going out of control.
The current Indian government led by Narendra Modi promotes a mythic historical narrative while attempting to tighten its rule over Kashmir and Hinduize it.
Recently C's confirmed Vedic Aryan "religion" as long back as 16,000 years (where British Indologists insist on 2nd millennium migration). Kashmir is in the migration path from outside. Enough texts s exist to prove that lot of people occupied this land over this long period. Not just 1864.
Modi is a member of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has ruled India since 2014.
What is Hindu even mean? Best honest answer is "It is way of Life". What does it even mean? - set of practices, believes, rituals and so on.

What is wrong being "nationalistic" or taking care of your own needs? West used "nationalism" to send people to global occupation , does it mean every body does the same?
When Modi was governor of Gujarat in the mid 2000s, he was banned from entering the U.S. over religious violence that he helped to incite.
If US banned means, he is guilty of Crime? Communal violence is there before Modi ( started with British mess up in late 19th century) and will be there after Modi too. That is sad part of Human life in 3D on this planet.
A criminal complaint filed in an Australian court charged Modi with ordering police to stand aside and allow Hindu mobs to rampage across Muslim-majority areas, resulting in the deaths of about 2,000 people and the destruction of the homes and businesses of 20,000 Muslims.
2000 is correct, but 1200 Muslims and 800 Hindus. The killing started with live burning of hundreds Hindus on the train returning from Hindu pilgrimage. When this type of massacre happens, it's no joke of controlling and it's not as easy as writing biased article or throwing some theory.
As India’s Prime Minister, Modi has furthered discriminatory policies against Muslims while helping to transform Kashmir into what Chak calls an “open air prison” reminiscent of Gaza pre- and post-October 7.
Gaza comparison is absolute non sense. Sure there are restrictions.
Chak reports on forced conversions and land thefts by the Indian government, and “cow vigilantism,” where BJP supporters roam the Kashmiri countryside searching for those whom they claim are unlawfully slaughtering cows who they steal from and then lynch.[9]
Cow vigilantism is nothing specific to Kashmir. It started 1960's when the Muslim supporting Congress party and spread gradually. When Journalists tried to gather stats of "cow Vigilantism" deaths in Modi era. it is 10 more than congress period 30. So much noise made by Indian Left, it is unbelievable.
Some BJP officials have openly called for ethnic cleansing along the Israeli model in Gaza.
It is a country 1.4 billion people. Some opportunistic nut case politician will there whether Muslim supporting Congress or BJP.
The reputable NGO Genocide Watch, led by Dr. Gregory Stanton, has issued two genocide alerts for Kashmir. Muslim rights are being systematically violated there through extrajudicial killings, unlawful arrest, torture and forced displacement.[10]
No wonder Modi shut down 40,000 NGO's for not documenting the income and expense. Most of them are linked to George Soros & Co.
The final chapter of Chak’s book addresses India’s growing anti-China alliance with the U.S. and the danger of a war with China breaking out.
If US is stupid enough go to war with China, whether India existed or not, it doesn't matter.
A June 2020 border clash leaving 20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers dead could portend greater conflict if Modi continues to “tether India’s geopolitical horse to the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy.”[11]
Who initiated this encroachment in 2020. China or India? Does this author meant to say India lost more soldiers than China so India should concede to Chinese encroachment? It's not going to happen. World geopolitics is world stuff, local needs are local.
According to Chak, India was better off when it adopted a policy of strategic autonomy in which it sustained good relations with both the U.S. and China and cleverly tried to play each country off the other to maximize India’s advantage.
India didn't initiate the rivalry between US and China. That's different level of big boy's club fight. In this complex modern supply chain economy every body has to find one's own formula to even sustain their economy. India looked after its interests.
In a devastating move for Sino-Indian relations, Modi’s India has become part of the Quad, an anti-China alliance with Australia, the UK and Japan, while carrying out more military exercises with the U.S. in proximity to China’s border.
Sure he did. From India's POV, they always had their own independent attitude - 'Non Alignment' Movement and so on. When India became a player in supply chain, it evolved in to geopolitics which is normal. What is strange in this entire saga, West or their education can't get rid of their colonial mindset of "preaching".
These measures, combined with India’s aggressive drives into Kashmir in violation of Pakistani and Chinese claims there, have greatly increased regional tensions and the threat of nuclear conflagration since India, Pakistan and China are all nuclear-armed powers.
Any body can claim any thing one want. In this author's mind, self defense is aggression , claim is what is needed to other to obey. What type of "entitlement" is that?
On a state visit to Washington in late June, Narendra Modi was given the red-carpet treatment and feted at a gala dinner attended by some of Silicon Valley’s biggest names.
Modi gets red carpet treatment where ever he goes. Why? He was from Western state of Gujarat famous for their small business skills. So If you see 100 Indian's in any place out side India, you will see one or more Guajarati shop(Often named 'Patel'). Initially when he was the chief minister ( 2001-2014), it is these Gujarati's ( Or Gujju's) who promoted him in recognition of his contribution to development of their state Gujarat. This contribution ( aka "Good Governance") is was sold to entire nation ( 2014 - 2024 , 3 terms is extraordinary for a common street man turned PM ) and people see it all over the nation in the forms of Roads, business growth, air ports, money in their accounts, general, general accountability and so on. Here is one video, recently sent.

Most of the silicon Valley is run by India origin guys, who got educated in state funded higher educational institutions like IIT's( As per Nehru's Post-Independent vision of "Self Reliance"). These are the people West's Big business tapped into in 1990's when they needed high-tech professionals ( Y2K , internet ) , instead of educating their own people from scratch. so they naturally like to associate with any successful person not mention the PM of their own country origin. In the Western world of firm control, 'Guilt by association' may work for some cases. But, There are enough evidence that Modi used his power to control them for the national interests irrespective of their CEO's origin.

This whole narration of 'Silicon Valley' is bad, so every body associates with him is 'Bad' is ridiculous simplistic narration.

Most of the gala guests were probably unaware of the horrific atrocities being carried out in Kashmir, as they have gone largely unreported in the U.S. media and are rarely publicized by human rights NGOs or by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which primarily spotlights human rights abuses by U.S. enemies.
What if the horrific atrocities didn't happen to the level (100,000 deaths) he talks about? I think this some made up projected number. He is clueless of the "passions" of Indian Muslims and the control their Waqf boards. See this post
Q: (seek10) C's mentioned that, "Islam is the miscegenation of the worst of both Judaism and Christianity." There is a strong black and white thinking in Muslims, particularly in countries where they are a minority, including current European migrants that follow Muslim canon law that divides the world into two camps, Dar-ul-Islam (abode of Islam) and Dar-ul-Harb (abode of war) at their own peril. How is this psychology sustained so strongly even in this age of technology? Is it related to rigid practice of prayers or is there more to it?

A: Don't really need much more than intensive familial and social programming. Also, there is the circumcision during pubertal imprint point.

Q: (L) Do Muslims do circumcision at like puberty or something later?

(Joe) Later. 13, yeah.

(L) 13. Anybody know for sure? Yeah?

(Joe) Yeah.

(L) All right then. I guess the experience that a guy has when he's coming of age, kind of so to speak, you can really really have an impact. I mean, it's not just infancy. I guess puberty is a time of imprint too.
If I go with Indian experience, I feel that West had shot itself in the foot when they allowed to so many Muslims. West thinks that they can control the immigrant violence. Best of luck with that. But, there is a solution. Convert the country to Muslim state and all those may reduce. Will they?

With a flush supply of U.S. weapons and no public outcry, Modi has carte blanche to do whatever he wants; a shame for Kashmiris and others living in the region who would bear the brunt of an all-out war that is slowly being provoked by the U.S.
Most probably they must be using Putin supplied AK's . Why don't he blame Putin for that? This is how ridiculous these arguments are.

In short, There is conflict between Muslims vs Hindus. These canned arguments are non sense, but widely sold in the West as it fits their world "view".

Modi's achievements are too many in motivating, accomplishing many things are nothing to do with 'Hinduism' or his RSS affiliations. I

Imagine simple scenario. Let's Assume there are 10000 people( 8000 Hindus, 1500 Muslims) , assume 5 people contested for a election. The plausible scenario is 4 Hindu's and 1 Muslim. If the religion is the criteria for the voting pattern, which Hindu candidate people are going to Vote out of 4? People vote according their own needs. That is nothing to do with religion. Whole 'Hindu Nationalist" is a cover to hide all BJP's economic achievements. That doesn't mean Hindus doesn't have their programs - rituals, "Cow business" that is promoted by politicians of all parties. There will be

It works for Western mind as it is extension of Colonial narration of 'Minority can't live with Majority' narration of splitting the country by priming people with so-called threat of 'Nuclear War'.

Coming back to the "Trajectory": There is a Chinese proverb called "Divided nation strive for United, United nation strive for Division". This true for any large nation including China and Russia. How old is the current "Nation states" and their borders of any country on this planet ( leave aside Britain)? 100 to 200 years?

Imagine the consequences if India relinquish Arunachal Pradesh because China claimed, Kashmir to Pakistan because they claimed?
  • Every group (or self proclaimed leader of those so-called groups - by language or some victim hood) of 1.4 Billion people , the country will divide into 50 pieces. We already seen this in USSR and Yugoslavia. Is it not how British conquered India by divide and Rule civility?
  • If China is superior to India, Does it mean that India has to distribute its land whoever claim some thing? Remember What C's said
Q: (Puck) So we have a question about BRICS. Do the BRICS leaders have a genuine interest in improving the collective future for humanity?

A: Partly, but as with everything in your realm, there are mixed motives and cross purposes.

How does it fit into the Global scenario of these end times?

Obviously I didn't know of 'end times' (or when that be) 30 years back and didn't even bother to remember it. Decade back, when somebody asked me about Modi, I told him he is another politician. I was not following Indian politics until then after I came out of Indi. But, that is an indication of level of distrust of India's politicians. Well, I watched and read, tried to reconcile his and opposition's claims for 5 years before I kicked the trashcan for believing the anti-Modi propaganda for so long. That is level of distrust. But the improvements on the ground ( material improvements all over the country in every sphere, even sense of nationhood in contrast to old entitled bureaucracy) doesn't lie. It is these economic achievements is what Anti-Modi gang wants to hide in the facade of 'Hindu Nationalistic' and 'Religious intolerance' jargon.

Who benefits if India starts distributing its land because some body claimed because of some claim or victimhood- It is the West. Neither China , nor the obedient Muslim population (canon fodder to their leaders) has any advantage.

In any case, Kashmir will go for elections in few months and they will choose whomever they want. It won't be Pakistan for sure. It is quite likely that West won't be calling it 'democracy' as it doesn't fit their agenda.

Was hoping you would offer up your historical, present day and political perspective, seek10.

One might get the impression from reading from various authors - including the above (alternate mainstream) piece, that the region is secondary (although old wounds are salted), it is aimed to Modi himself. They will even say he claimed to be of divine intervention or something similar. So, he is sometimes desirable it the west and sometimes not (obviously his new alignments lean towards the latter). Thus, it is no surprise and you have spelled much out.

True. Tribal.
Kashmir is in the migration path from outside. Enough texts s exist to prove that lot of people occupied this land over this long period. Not just 1864.
Right, that makes sense. China also factors (historically).

Funny you mention migration path, as Deli (old) had the Kashmiri Gate.

2000 is correct, but 1200 Muslims and 800 Hindus. The killing started with live burning of hundreds Hindus on the train returning from Hindu pilgrimage. When this type of massacre happens, it's no joke of controlling and it's not as easy as writing biased article or throwing some theory.

When Journalists tried to gather stats of "cow Vigilantism" deaths in Modi era. it is 10 more than congress period 30. So much noise made by Indian Left, it is unbelievable.
Sacred cows.

If US is stupid enough go to war with China, whether India existed or not, it doesn't matter.
Yes, nothing new here.

This whole narration of 'Silicon Valley' is bad, so every body associates with him is 'Bad' is ridiculous simplistic narration.
True.
