Puma, yep, very strange story. Here they write that it was a provocation/show for cosmonautics day. But very strangely, i have a friend, living under moscow (western direction - 20 km). She wrote to me that yesterday during yearly morning 04.15 - there was such a bang - that everyone jumped up couple of miles radius. There was not storm/lightning anything of that kind. Just very loud kaboom. And a few minutes later jet planes sound. Somebody suggested that military jet went through the sound barrier. But they do not usually fly that speed over residential areas especially when the governmental top officials/oligarchs live 10 minutes away It was not on the news, only in messengers etc.@Antony Another meteorite in Russia?
On Tuesday night, April 11, an unknown object fell from the sky in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk region. It looked like a meteorite, but it has not yet been confirmed to be one.
According to the publication, the incident occurred near the town of Bogdanovich, located 90 kilometers from Yekaterinburg, at 21:03 local time (19:03 Moscow time). After the crash, there was a bang like an explosion, which triggered car alarms, and also caused a fire. This was reported on local channels.
Locals in Yekaterinburg, Russia, filmed what appears to be the fall of a meteorite.
"In Yekaterinburg, not far from the Globe, the grass caught fire directly on the water. On the surface there were circles of fire like this. The sight is terrible," the report said.

Initial information that it could be a meteorite is still in doubt, as the fall followed a gentle downward trajectory and was accompanied by a strong flash1 and explosion.
The fall of a meteorite with such effects is almost impossible, the expert believes: "Meteorites don't fall like that. Stony meteorites, entering the atmosphere, squeeze the air in front of them and begin to glow from heating. At an altitude of just over 10 kilometers, they slow down sharply and then fall like ordinary stones. And only iron meteorites can fly at high speed to the ground, but there are few such meteorites, the phenomenon is very rare," explained Vladilen Sanakoev, an engineer at the educational observatory of the Ural Federal University, commenting on a question from the E1 portal.

The mystery of the unidentified object that fell near Yekaterinburg has been revealed
April 12, 2023
In the Urals, an unidentified object similar to a meteorite was filmed falling. A few hours later it turned out that it was.
Videos and photos of an unidentified object falling in the Urals are being distributed on social networks. Many have suggested that we are talking about a meteorite. But in fact there was no UFO, and the footage turned out to be staged. This is reported by the telegram channel "Caution, news".
A video with a falling celestial body "started" in social networks late in the evening on April 11. According to eyewitnesses, the UFO allegedly fell near Bogdanovich, near Yekaterinburg. Judging by the sound in the video, there was a deafening bang in the area of the fall.
At the same time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region kept silent about the incident.
Later it turned out that no unidentified object in the Urals had fallen the day before. The videos that appeared on social networks are staged shots dedicated to the celebration of Cosmonautics Day (April 12).
As reported in the telegram channel, the videos were uploaded to social networks through the "Offer news" function:
- For example, 21-year-old actor Nikita S. appears in one of the videos - they tried to publish him through a suggestion. Later, the young man's girlfriend posted a post on social networks with the caption "creating infopods from the void" and deleted it after our question. After some time, another staged video appeared on the network, where "police officers" allegedly did not let an eyewitness to the crash site (he was also sent to the local public's offer by a participant in the filming process). Later, another video appeared on social networks, where there is a "UFO" at the “crash site”. Today is April 12, when Cosmonautics Day is celebrated. All the videos with the "meteorite fall" are part of the "viral campaign".
