Negative Emotions, Thoughts And How to Counteract Them

I just finished a Deep meditation by Laura from youtube Cassiopaea Channel. I feel deeply relaxed and happy and I am grateful for it to be free for all to listen on yotube.
Thanks a lot Laura and others involved in providing it. It can now be added to my meditation practice, which will be much more comfortable with Laura's pleasant voice as a guide :)

Edit: spelling and poor vocabulary :)

Thank you so much for the video @Renaissance - wonderful stuff.

"I NO LONGER HAVE THE NEED to control everything around me. I do not impose my will on how I think the world, others or myself should be. Instead, I trust the universe, and I know that all is as it should be "
Yes, these words struck a cord with me too Pat. I don't have the FOTCM calendar, but these words are part of Laura's meditation for Protection, Wellness and Prosperity on the Cassiopaea Youtube channel, which is just beautiful. As this thread is about negative emotions, thoughts and how to counteract them I though I would just add that using the meditations on the Cassiopaea Youtube channel have been incredibly useful for me - I'm starting to feel much more able to 'catch' negative emotions before they get above the neck and I feel much more able to let go of negative thinking patterns.

And thank you @Turgon for the audio version.
Has anybody created similar audio files for Laura's meditations on the Cassiopaea YouTube channel?

I have found that when negativity threatens to swallow me it really helps to go on to the forum and read and/or post or work on forum
Before reading this thread I was in a negative loop about the actions of my colleagues; which at the time irritated me and after a while I forgot about it.
When arriving home I entered in this loophole but in a more pronounced way.
And after reading the prayers in the daily meditation I entered on the forum and this thread was on the first page:-D

With this occasion I also remembered about this:
"Oh Diving Cosmic Mind,
grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference."
I copied it on my Notes for easy reference!

A wonderful turn of events and a must read thread for me!

What I'm interested in learning more about is the idea of the "second conscious shock" G talked about, which to my knowledge is about transforming negative emotions into positive emotions. Is that what we're talking about here? Does it mean using will and other emotional resources to suppress (instead of repress) negative emotions so they do not control your actions? Or does it mean appropriating the energy of the negative emotion towards a constructive end? Or both? Or is it a continuum?

I think awareness is the key, but to have that awareness, usually we have to have suffered enough as a result of the negativity we indulge in. Often however, a certain empathy for others is awakened also, because usually our negativity is projected outward and impacts others in some way, and the results of that often causes us to suffer.

So any kind of "shock" I think, would come from an awakening of empathy and awareness of what we are doing and have done to both ourselves and to others, or that we have been acting in a way that is decidedly NOT in line with our own deeply-held (and sometimes buried) aspirations to "be a better person", which should cause both personal suffering and empathy for the harm done to others and all of that not being in line with who we want to be.
