Negative lyrics

appy polly logies, i didn't know it was rude to do that, but i guess i should know better, they are kinda hard to read. it would help a lot if i could figure out how to get the text window to stop going insane when i'm typing, as soon as i fill it up it won't stay put, it wants to go up and down when i'm trying to type. but yeah, more spaces, break into paragraphs, got it. thanks. :)

I have to admit, that growing up I was into all kinds of metal. Having an older brother who introduced it to me at an early age I got into everything from heavy, thrash, speed metal etc. Then when I was a teenager I got into doom, death metal and as Norwegian black metal started to rise into the early 90's I got into that to.
Now, understand that when black metal started to get known here in norway it was taken to the extreme.
It was murders and churchburings involved that shaped the musical images of the bands.
As impressionable youths alot got fascinated and started to listen to this.
Basically, the lyrics doesn't get much more negative than black metal, but if I can take one good thing from it it's that it encourage people to don't believe the lies from the church and decide for yourself.
When I got a bit older I have met and talked to alot of members of Norwegian BM bands through friends of mine who are friends with them.
The thing that struck me was that everybody that I talked to seemed to be nice guys with families etc (this could be the wolf in sheep clothing).
Of course, there are pathological types that don't hide the fact that they are what they are.
Anyway, as I found the work of Laura years ago and as I started the Work this kind of music have lost all meaning to me.
It's like I can't believe what I had been listening to back in the day, no wonder I've spent 1/3 of my life depressed with a negative attachment. (I only listened to this music once in a while, I didn't dress up with all black leather, pentagram chains, long black hair or anything like that).
It's the same with rap music.
I like rap, but the mainstream hiphop today is about money and power so I don't pay attention to that. However, there's alot of good underground rap with focus on trying to get to the truth of things, alot of conspiracy theories. Even if not everything match my opinion (or the consensus of this forum) it's still the closest I get to enjoying music with a real message. With that said, I don't listen to any music half as much as I did before anymore. Fwit.
