Nuclear bomb dropped on Yemen?

The light spots look like they're too long in duration to be from radiation hitting the photosensor. Furthermore, camera lenses don't bend nuclear radiation so the fact that the spots in one shot are seen forming in a pattern around the image is pretty good evidence that they can't be due to nuclear radiation. My guess is they are probably charges thrown out by the bomb to explode later in the air for more lethal ground coverage.

Or the place that was hit contributed to the way the explosion developed. For example: if a military installation is hit, that contains ammunition, or a factory that contains explosive material, the resulting explosion looks bigger even though a normal bomb has hit it.

Gordon Duff wrote a few articles on that and the Chinese shipping hub bomb. He is pretty sure it was a nukes.
He cites the CMOS sensor in the phone that filmed it, picking up the radiation.
He goes on to say that the white in the CMOS is overexposure and that you can calculate the heat from it, also putting it in the nuke-range.
Hard to tell if he is right, but the video shows a rarely big explosion that to me looks different from the normal bomb-blasts.

I would take anything G Duff says with tablespoon of salt though.

[quote author= Pashalis]For visual comparison. The GBU-43 above is called "The Mother of all Bombs" since it is the largest non-nuclear bomb on earth.

Western media is applauding this biggest non-nuclear bomb, though the Russian variant is 4x times more powerfull.

Note how the bomb is dropped from a supersonic bomber. The American variant can only be dropped from a cargo plane. In other words, the US will be unable to use their MOAB without air superiority.

Well yeah, it's pretty clear that this bomb is totally obsolete, dating perhaps to WW1 from a strategic pov. It can only be used against a target that has no effective anti-aircraft defense, even a rudimentary one. The bomb has to be more or less pushed out of the back of a slow flying plane and then floats down via parachute, making it a ridiculously easy target to take out. Not to mention the fact that the incoming plane would be spotted hundreds of kms away by modern air defenses.

I take everything he says with a large bag of salt. The guy recklessly and willfully makes stuff up.

Yeah, in a real war the practical use of this MOAB is slim to none. This bomb is just for show.

Reason why I shared it is that it's always a relief to hear that the good guys (Russians) have bigger and better guns. :phaser:

It was certainly not a nuclear bomb in Yemen, as I live only 1000 km away in Dubai, UAE. So far we are all alive and kicking...
