Nuclear Radiation Detox

Thanks for that link Gandalf! Something I noticed missing in that material as well as the SoTT Focus article is any reference to Mulberry - what caterpillars eat to make silk- so I thought I'd include it here:

Posted by Enaid in the Session 3 January 2009 thread here here and here.

The mulberry’s levels of antioxidants are 79% higher than blueberries and 24% more than those found in cranberries. Not only that but mulberries are packed full of vitamins and fibre and contain high levels of resveratrol - the antioxidant super hero which is the focus of so much scientific interest across a wide range of disciplines.

It is the high level of antioxidants in mulberries that make them an excellent weapon in the fight against infection. A recent report in the Journal of Infectious Diseases concluded that resveratrol decreased the reproduction of the influenza virus.

Also thought I'd remind about E's post on Rooibos tea.

Rooibos (alternative to coffee). It contains no harmful stimulants and is totally free of caffeine. Its health properties are ascribed mainly to its low tannin content, minerals and its anti-spasmodic, anti-oxidant, free-radical-capturing properties. Rooibos’ antispasmodic properties make it an excellent drink for babies with colic.

And finally, to suggest keeping the body in a ph state of alkaline (rather than acidic).

This looks to be pretty good too:

Just my luck to be in Germany during Chernobyl! How easily the clock turns back to April 1986 rembering the precautions that were taken to avoid bringing fallout into a home, I also remember the horrible immune system health disorders that I endured during 1987. From a person who has had just one cold and has never had flu, this was significant and clearly a result of Chernobyl:

* Pneumonia
* Cytomeglo virus
* Epstein Barr Syndrom

My mother was with me in Germany and died of cancer 6 years after Chernobyl and did not eat processed foods, smoke, drink, or have any lifestyle factors that were conducive to cancer. It was Chernobyl.

I also aggressively detoxed with clay and other herbs and she did not.

There will always be people who overcome health obstacles and survive. My 1987 health challenges gave me the opportunity to seriously detox and improve my immune system.

While Fukushima will not rank among the best news any of us could experience, my faith and confidence in the forces of natural, healthy foods and herbal remedies that have helped me in the past, will not fail now. What is important to understand is that low levels of radiation are very harmful.

What I did then, is what I'm doing now.

I happened on to Spirulina in the late nineties. I asked a person working at GNC what was good for energy as mine was lacking, she told me about it, sure enough it did the trick. I never knew about the other benefits of it. Good to know.

The other day I learned that apparently quail and ostrich eggs are good for treating effects of radiation, and contribute to the removal of radionuclides, beside having many other beneficial properties (here is an article that talks about quail eggs). The research on this matter was done by Russian scientists after Chernobyl disaster. So maybe something worth trying out.
