I don't think there were many books on the table, mainly newspapers. Here's a snapshot of that scene, in case some Native Russian members might see it differently.

Yes it weren't many. From the picture it were three, so one we don't know yet.

I can recognize only the thick white one. It's Untold History of USA by Oliver Stone (in Russian)

I downloaded the picture, rotated it in various ways and zoomed in. To me it is clear there are two books. One big volume and one small. The text of the small volume I can not read.

I looked at the newspapers trying to establish the date.
There is one title from Pravda: "Правда Почему беженцам из доньасса трудно стать гражданами россии" but I could not find the date.
Then there was "Налоговики нашли новых плательщиков" It turned out to be form February 10th 2017, which was Friday of week 6 and printed in http://nalogoved.ru/news/3850 This appears to be published once a month. Thus the date is after February 10th.
Then I tried "фуркад ты не рпав!" which led me to https://rg.ru/2017/02/13/biatlonistka-irina-staryh-stala-chetvertoj-v-gonke-presledovaniia.html from February 13th 2017, which was Monday of week seven. This appears to be a daily.
Thus it appears to me that this picture is from February 13th 2017.

Intwined a quote of Putin within a picture I found fitting.

He said this in Ep 1 of the documentary. Hope you like it. (see attachment)

Thanks, bjorn. I hope you don't mind but I shared the picture on social media. :-[

No not at all, in fact I made more today, but the quality of most pictures is lacking. So I couldn't enlarge it to a decent size, otherwise it get's a bit to 'grainy' Like the one below: (With the same text)

I guess we are all familiar with pictures of Putin riding bears and swimming with sharks :P

But beyond those that are a lot of beautiful photo's of the Russian president.

I particularly found this one stunning: (Very fitting to add text)

As for the latest photos on Putin, what about the ones under the rain recently?

IMO, there are some pretty great shots from that event :)

They are humbling photographs of Putin. Same with the rain ones. In relation to the quote itself, the photographs work and really brings home that Putin is still a human being and that contrary to what is said about him here in the West, he isn't some corrupt dictator, but a person who really cares about his country and people. At least that's the message I get from it.

There is a reverse image search website called TinEye where you can drag and drop any low-res image onto the webpage and it searches the internet for all higher-res versions of the same image. I've used it many times and found it to be very handy.

Those are beautiful Marina. How Putin is standing firm in the storm, it fits his being and character.

Thanks Timótheos

I tried it out for the second picture I shared here and got:
1 result. Searched over 20.4 billion images in 1.1 seconds.

Seems I just have to be glad with the one pic I have. But I gotta at least appreciate the effort of searching through 20.4 billion images in 1.1 sec.

But will definitely make use of it. :)

Putin is a great teacher in many ways, will make some more over the course of time. If you think it's a good idea, feel free to PM me or ask here to give me the translations of your own language, perhaps for sott.net or the related FB pages. In that way, I have some things to do. And it helps getting the message out there :)

Are you talking about the image you posted of Putin alone in the snow - poetin sneeuw.jpg_thumb.png?

I did a search for the same image and got 55 results on TinEye, the largest having a resolution 0f 4500 x 2531 pixels, at this link...
