Your 'children' are not the brightest, Laura.
that direct and personal insult to Laura let me remember two things which I've learnt about how human groups of almost ANY kind 'work':
a) to get integrated into any given group hierarchy, individuals should strive to earn the respect from the females of that group, or, at the very least, avoid antagonizing them
b) invariably, the least popular members of a given group, those at its fringes, harbour illusions about themselves being far more popular within that group than they really are.

I wonder, mopiet, if you would say such a thing to anybody IRL, or if you are manly enough to say such things b/c you know that there will be no consequences to yourself. Lastly, intentional insults towards others are also related with lack of respect for self. As much has been said by others here, especially nf3 and Keit.

The thing with the women is especially important, mopiet. Social sanction is heavy against those who attack (or beat) women, for a reason. It is not only about this forum, but about humans. Women, at a very basic level, care about few things: children, family, tribe. What applies to you about this is that, if women see trouble coming to their children, family, tribe, they have the ability to mobilize the group to deal with that trouble. In case you've not yet noticed, you are trouble, and you are being dealt with.

What were you thinking, mopiet, when you wrote above ? That you'd ingratiate yourself with anybody on this forum ? To me it looks rather like you're making a character of yourself. Do you really think that anybody is going to respect you because you hurl gratuitous insults at Laura ? Could it be that you find this forum "funny" because you are the current ROTFL factor here ? Is it really funny to stand in the middle of a group of people where everybody looks scornfully at you and laughs at your expense (as that would be the scene of this thread IRL) ? Is that what you like, mopiet, to be held in contempt by other people ?

And before I forget, that great magician and alchemist, your teacher Philip Gardiner : what is his opinion of your little show here ?

(PS: my spell checker corrects mopiet to Muppet)

#84 - #87 - Framing is an art!

But enough of this (Laura is, by the way, wise enough not to actually demonstrate why the quotes I gave are 'dark' ;) ), because there is work to be done.

Would you say Hume is right? That Nietzsche was ignorant about the deeper level of alchemy?

'Lonely one, you are going the way to yourself. And your way leads past yourself and your seven devils. You must consume yourself in your own flame; how could you wish not to become new, unless you had first become ashes! - Lonely one, you are going the way of the creator: you would create a god for yourself out of your seven devils.'

This text is of course as alchemical as alchemical can get. And one is tempted then to identify those seven devils as the dark energy released in the Night of the Soul with which the Lightbody is composed.

But does this mean that Nietzsche knew about the deeper level of alchemy? I don't think so. If that had been the case, he would have recognized the Secrets of the Kingdom of God of the New Testament. Secrets he instead ridiculed with the question: why secrets?

Annie, what's keeping you? The Oakley's are getting hungry! I mean, just saying the letters are dark, that's not shooting.

Or is Bubic perhaps right?

'The Letters are like your first Picasso: you need time.' [Amina Bubic]

I just had an email from somebody 'very high up' who is reading the thread too. Once you find out who it is (not allowed to give his name) you will be thrilled, Laura! ;)

Like what Laura said:

Maybe some of the "lurking" forum members are feeling some of the above, e.g. your "very high up friend", but not me.
To me you have come across as an annoying teen trying to beat the conversation to death with a barrage of quotes and posts.
Thanks for coming to the party, but maybe you should go home now.

PS your answer to the "the world is burning" got lost in formatting so that is the reason I didn't see it.

I think mopiet may be referring to Gardiner, who might be reading this thread.

Thanks for the "advise." After all, I'm learning. So, why do you think you're too big for me? Big as in what term? Size really does not matter.
