Finally saw the whole thing last night - I viewed it from the Project Camelot link which seemed to provide higher sound. I started to watch earlier in the week, but it was too late and although I wanted to stay up to view the whole thing, I kept dozing off. I can manage to fight sleep to read, but videos and podcasts almost always eventually put me out. The camera jostling during the beginning segment was very disorienting and I was glad that it finally settled down and the conversation flow not only picked up, but streamed forth in an amazing way. Even already being aware of most of what Laura had to say, actually viewing her articulate the experiences and expound on the probabilities has so much more a powerful effect. Plus, I never knew Laura had such soulful, beautiful eyes. Her avatar picture doesn't do them justice.
Although I've been following the whole new ice age saga and have seen the movie, "The day after tomorrow", Laura's depiction of one's home being buried under nine stories of snow really brought the reality into focus. For whatever reason, my vision was always something like Antarctica and that despite how hostile that environment is, people live and work there. The comic Hagar the Horrible often depicts his humble home being buried in snow with just the chimneys poking out. Now I realize this is what new ice age means - and it can happen that suddenly! After the video finished, I did check the youtube version, which didn't come up in my preliminary search of Laura's name, just her previous videos. I had bookmarked the link from the forum, so accessed it quickly that way. I wanted to see what some of the comments were and some were favorable, but others were voicing the all humans must have souls contention. I can see if this was one's first viewing of any of Laura's work, the idea that some humans don't have souls would be very disconcerting.
I'm so glad this information is getting out to a wider audience as the issues Laura raised are of the absolute gravest nature. The atrocities being committed against humankind and the earth have always caused me great distress. To think that they could end up being the only way of life on our precious planet is beyond horrifying. This totally gives me new impetus to get with the program and do everything necessary to assist in this endeavor to stem this terrible, terrible fate.
