Prayers for Sutton

Pneumaticmatt, I'm sure you have already told Sutton just how many people are sending our love and prayers his (and your) way. You all are definitely in mine. The book is such a creative act of love and beauty. :)

That’s great news that the surgery went well. If the results are as hoped for, will Sutton have to undergo more?

He will need to undergo more as long as his bones are growing.

These current results will probably last 4-6 years, so between the ages of 9 to 11 he will need to undergo another one.
But when he's an adult he will make that decision.

Maybe by then there will be new techniques.

Or maybe I will have progressed enough to "fix" the problem myself ;D

Just read the book. What a wonderful idea! Especially suited for a five-year-old. :)

Have been sending healing thoughts Sutton's way since this thread started. Will be thinking of him tonight during EE.

Divine Cosmic Mind Bless Sutton and his loving, creative family.

I hope that one or the other of these possibilities comes about. :)

Hi All,

We wanted ya'll to know that Sutton's doing great.

No sign of infection...YEAH!
(Although he is still receiving preventative doses of antibiotics).

Those are some very powerful prayers everyone has been saying.....

We are scheduled to go home tomorrow afternoon.

I'll be updating a web site with some pictures of Sutton and will let ya'll know when I've posted.

We thank everyone again for all of the support, kind words and thoughts!

Cheers!

Good news!

BTW: You’ll likely want to get Sutton on probiotics as soon as you can. I think you may need to wait until the antibiotics are finished. Maybe someone else here can chime in on that.

Glad Sutton is doing well, Pneumaticmatt! :) I hope that he will continue to be healthy, and I hope that he is not in any pain right now.

Definitely agree with Galahad about the probiotics, but I would also agree to wait until his prescription is finished to avoid infection.

If he can tolerate it, maybe you could try including anti-microbial foods like ginger and garlic into his diet, if he can tolerate them? I don't know about post-surgery recovery, but they help me whenever I have a sinus infection. Plus they're great for overall health.

Best of luck for Sutton! :)
