The Living Force
The Alien movies are not everyone's cup of tea, but I quite enjoyed some of them. This one does not even have the typical aliens... Instead it reveals that both humans and aliens were created by the same humanoid race. The aliens were a kind of biological weapon they created. It's a good explanation, but for the most part, I did not like this movie.
The positive:
- The central theme of the movie is that humans have been created by an alien race from their own DNA.
- The acting was pretty good, especially the android.
The not-so-positive:
- Personally, I disliked the feeling of darkness or hopelessness one is left with at the end. Though maybe that is what should be expected from an almost-horror movie like this.
- The plot is pretty weak and some of the actions people take make no sense at all.

I saw the movie yesterday and it didn't have many interesting ideas in the movie which I was hoping for but it did hold my interest which is better than most other movies released recently. It seemed like the movie was introducing the idea that the human race was engineered but from some physical beings from another solar system. The intro scene was interesting to me because it showed one of those giants with a huge ufo hovering over it and then it zoomed into his dna and showed it breaking apart. I'm not sure what that had to do with the plot of the movie but made me think of how the human race supposedly had their dna broken apart.
