Vladimir Putin: Good evening.

Question: Mr President, if not a secret, how do you like the final, how is the game? For whom sick? And in General, How do you like the whole football holiday? Probably, personally failed to see what is happening on the streets of Russia? Probably was not at the now famous Nikolskaya street? Maybe the Kremlin has heard what is happening in red square?

Vladimir Putin: Yes, of course, I saw something from the Kremlin's Windows, I will not hide it, but, of course, I could not get close, I did not have the opportunity to get acquainted with all the events. Although, of course, aware of everything that happened. In this regard, I would like to say this.

First of all, I mentioned it somewhere yesterday, but today I would like to say in conclusion, of course, we can be proud of the way we organized this tournament. We have done this, and I have said this many times, for our fans, for our sports fans, Russian fans, and for all sports fans around the world. And we did. It turned out in all aspects of this Grand event.

Today's match was great. I think you'll agree with me. 4: 2 in the final-I don't remember something like that, and very few people can remember. I am sure that all sports and football fans around the world were shaking their hands throughout the match. Both teams were great, played open football, attacking. And I'm sure everyone liked it. Me, too.

I have already congratulated the President of France, Mr Macron, and my Croatian colleague. She was very worried, in my opinion, even cried in connection with the events. Nevertheless, everyone is happy, happy. And for the Croatian team, which shows, in my opinion, very good football, very good quality of the game, it is also a great achievement – the second place in the world championship. We congratulate them all.

Question: and you were rooting for who?

Vladimir Putin: I was just admiring this football performance.

Question: Mr President, how can you assess the performance of the Russian national team? After all, the team achieved this result for the first time.

Vladimir Putin: What I would like to say about this. I think that millions of people, no matter what they say, did not expect such a result from our team. We can be proud of the fact that we have such a great coach, and the Russian coach, and we can be proud of our team.

Of course, sport is not an art where people simply admire the events. In sports, you need results. And they had a decent result. But the most important thing is that we have understood that we have football, that we have our own team, that we have our own school and that we can count on higher ranks in this table of ranks, and the corresponding places in the international Championships. Our team showed it.

What I especially liked is that the guys showed the character and quality of the game. They fought to the end. I think this is the most important thing. That is why we should be grateful to them and support them, of course. And the result in itself-of course, long ago there was no such result. I think that we should congratulate them and set them up for future victories.

Question: Will you meet them?

Vladimir Putin: Yes, we will meet, we have already planned such meetings. First, we'll meet the coach, the captain. They will participate in the Council on sports in Kaliningrad. And then we will definitely meet with the team.

Question: Mr President, you often play hockey. After the championship you have no desire to play football? You had little experience with Infantino both in the Kremlin and in red square.

Vladimir Putin: I Think each of us once played football and kicked a ball. But that's not enough. Why else do you like football so much? First, when beautiful teams play, they do it at a high level, it is always interesting to watch. But besides that, everyone seems that each of us can do it. It seems to hit the ball easily. But a real game of football is, of course, a special art. I'll work on hockey for a while, I'll learn hockey. I have already learned to stay on skates a little, I will continue to move in this direction.

Question: Tell me, what do you think, 4:2 – the score of the game?

Vladimir Putin: Yes. We saw one funny goal. But in General, the Croatian open football team also played, as I said, and took risks. Well, somewhere I missed something, it happens. But in principle, the French showed a high class, of course.

Question: do you feel yourself a winner today?

Vladimir Putin: you know, we have said many times that the main task of Russia is to prepare the tournament well. And we did it, we did it, everyone is celebrating.

You know what I'd really like to say? We often scold our fans. And sometimes, fans are emotional people, but as it turned out, they are not just emotional, they are still very responsible people. And I, frankly, was surprised, I am very grateful to them. I want to thank them separately for the attitude that they have breathed into this event. This was largely due to our fans.

We are grateful to the coaches, to all the specialists, to our team once again, which inspired all the fans to perceive football as a holiday. And here it was, the organization. After all, hundreds, if not thousands, of volunteers were involved in all cities. I want to say words of gratitude to them too, because they met our guests, accompanied them, and it was always with a smile on his face, it was always very benevolent. Everyone celebrates it.

I would not like to speak and remember what was said on the eve of the championship. Let's turn this page, let's talk and think about the good. Thanks to the efforts of thousands of people, we have such a wonderful holiday.

But, of course, we cannot but say a word of gratitude to our guests – foreign tourists, foreign fans. Note that, as we were Bougival: the British are coming, the bullies are, then someone else. But everyone behaved just fine, showed the best qualities of sports and football fans, showed that sport and football can not divide, not lead to fights and fights, but to unite people on the basis of common principles and common values, and such cultural and humanistic.

Many people got acquainted with our culture, with our cities, with our people met with open. And millions of people, not thousands, but millions simply changed their opinion about our country. And this is a result, this is also a great result.

In this regard – I spoke with my foreign colleagues about this when I congratulated both Croats and the French – I think we will do this: for foreign fans who have currently issued fan passports, we will make visa-free entry into the Russian Federation until the end of this year-multiple and, I repeat, visa-free regime. I hope that they will take advantage of this, many of them, at least, and will come to our Russia more than once with friends and with members of their families.

Thanks. Good day.

After sitting down with President Trump earlier in the day, President Putin joined Fox News' Chris Wallace for a combative interview where he insisted that the idea that Russia could have influenced the votes of millions of Americans during the 2016 election was "utterly ridiculous" while insisting that Russia doesn't have compromising materials on President Trump. The interview aired on "Special Report" on Monday as the bipartisan backlash to Trump's meeting with Putin was beginning to grow, and President Putin started off with some advice for the world (and perhaps even more so, the sheep in America):

"As for who to believe and who you can't believe... can you believe at all - you can't believe anyone."

At one point during the interview, Wallace tried to hand Putin a copy of the DOJ indictment of 12 Russian military intelligence officers, but instead of taking it, Putin asked that he place it on a side table. Pushing back against claims that the Russians have compromising information on Trump, Putin said

"I don't want to insult President Trump when I say this - and I may come as rude - but before he announced that he will run for presidency, he was of no interest for us." He then went on to claim that it would be impossible for Russia to have influenced the 2016 election.

"Interference with the domestic affairs of the United States - do you really believe that someone acting from the Russian territory could have influenced the United States and influenced the choice of millions of Americans?" Putin said. "This is utterly ridiculous."
Russia doesn't even have the resources to track Trump even if it wanted to, Putin said. For example, the annual St. Petersburg Economic Forum usually attracts 500 business leaders and most of them are industrial tycoons on a "greater scale" than Trump, yet do the Americans think Russia organized surveillance on all of them?

"Do you think that our Special Services actually organized surveillance on each and every of them?" Putin said. "Well, unlike you, unlike the United States, we don't do this. We don't have enough resources. We don't have enough manpower to organize the total state of control. That's not part of our plans. And it's clear that we did nothing of that kind of against Mr. Trump."
Asked how Russia might respond if either Georgia or Ukraine were to join NATO, Putin scoffed, saying his reaction would be "negative."
"For us, well, it's a direct and immediate threat for our national security…moving this NATO infrastructure towards our borders would be a threat, and…the reaction would be extremely negative," Putin said.
Moving on to Syria, Wallace asked about reports made by independent monitors claiming that Russia has bombed civilians in Aleppo and Ghouta, to which Putin replied that "victims are inevitable."

"You know, when there [is] warfare going on - and this is the worst thing that can happen [for] humankind - [victims] are inevitable, and there will always be a question of who’s to blame. I think it is the terrorist groups who are to blame who destabilized the situation in the country."
But when Wallace asked if Putin had qualms about killing innocent men, women and children, the Russian president chided him, accusing him of being "completely deceived."

"You are completely deceived, and I am very sorry that you do not know the real situation…about Syria."
Toward the end of the interview, Wallace pointed out that many of Putin's political opponents have ended up dead or close to it. Putin pointed out that political killings happen in the US as well.

"Well, first of all, all of us have plenty of political rivals. I'm pretty sure President Trump has plenty of political rivals."
Wallace replied: "But they don't end up dead."

To which Putin pointed out that political killings happen in the US too with some regulate

"Haven't presidents been killed in the United States?" Putin replied. "Have you forgotten about - well, has [President John F.] Kennedy been killed in Russia or in the United States? Or [Dr. Martin Luther] King? What - and what happens to the clashes between police and, well, civil society, and some - several ethnic groups? Well, that's something that happens on the US soil. All of us have our own set of domestic problems."

Putin goes ‘off-script,’ slams US ‘forces’ undermining Russian-American relations (video)

Russian President Vladimir Putin went “off-script” while addressing a meeting of ambassadors and permanent representatives of the Russian Federation at the Ministry of Foreign affairs in Moscow on Thursday, severely criticising “forces” in the United States seeking to undermine Russian-American relations at their own expense.

“Going off script and speaking personally, I’d like to say a few words,” the Russian president said. “We see that there are forces in the US which are prepared at the drop of a hat to sacrifice Russian-American relations for the sake of their internal political ambitions in America,” he said.

They are prepared to sacrifice the interests of their own businesses” and “the interests of their allies in Europe and the Middle East,” as well as “their own national security,”

Putin said. “These people are neither despicable or pathetic,” he said referring to famous Russian satirists.

“The opposite, they quite powerful and strong of they can peddle, sorry for my expression, various hard to swallow stories to millions of people,” he concluded.

During his speech, Putin also stressed the need to “develop relations with the European Union” despite current political tensions. He also said that any country looking to try and include Ukraine or Georgia in the NATO sphere of influence “should think of the possible consequences of this irresponsible policy” because Russia would “respond in kind to any aggressive steps that directly threaten Russian.”

The speech comes days after Putin and US President Donald Trump held bilateral talks in Helsinki. Trump has faced harsh criticism back home after appearing to side with Russia instead of the FBI over Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential elections.

While Fox News anchor Chris Wallace and Vladimir Putin were at loggerheads during their sit-down in Helsinki, Wallace seems to have decided to see for himself where they make them like that, and he set off for a Russian holiday.

Wallace, a veteran Fox News host who interviewed Putin in the wake of the Monday summit with US President Donald Trump, then left for a vacation to Russia, he revealed to the New York Times. His first destination, none other than Putin's native St. Petersburg.

The anchor, whose grilling of Putin was nowhere near amicable, told NYT that he "had a few doubts" about his choice of a holiday destination, but eventually decided to go for it. "But I figured, Why not?" Wallace said.

Given the escalating anti-Russian sentiment in the US, that reached a pinnacle following the Helsinki summit with cries of "treason" and "disaster" by mainstream media, St. Petersburg might not seem like an obvious holiday destination.

At the end of their roughly half-hour interview, Wallace was apparently still not intimidated enough by one of the most demonized men around, so he revealed to Putin an itinerary of his trip. Putin, Wallace said, was glad that he chose to spend more time in St. Petersburg than in Moscow, including a visit to the famed Mariinsky Theater.

Only when Putin asked how much time he was planning to spend in each city, Wallace remembered who he was dealing with.

"I was a little worried about that. Why does he want to know?"

Speaking about interview arrangements and Putin's only precondition – that it must be broadcast in full – Wallace said that made him realize that "that he [Putin] wanted to get across to Western viewers, to American viewers, in particular, that we can do business."

Wallace, who has already started his Russia vacation, told the NYT that "there's been no sign of any trouble or anything at all" during his stay in St. Petersburg. Moreover, he has acquired a kind of a celebrity status in the Russian northern capital, with passersby recognizing him on several occasions as "the fellow who interviewed President Putin."

During his inauguration in Moscow on May 7, President Vladimir Putin traveled in a brand-new Russian-made Kortezh (Cortege) limousine for the first time.

The new vehicles of the Russian presidential motorcade made a splash among automotive enthusiasts after their debut this spring, with limos, sedans, and minivans spotted around Moscow and in Helsinki during last month's Russia-US summit. But details about the project's motorcycle have remained shrouded in mystery, until now.

Sergei Chemezov, CEO of the Rostec state corporation, the company in charge of building the new bikes, has told Sputnik that they will be sold to the public.

"We plan to sell the motorcycle on the open market. There it will be marketed under the Izh brand," Chemezov said. "This is a prominent brand going back to the Soviet period, and currently belongs to our subsidiary Kalashnikov Concern, which is responsible for the work on the new vehicle," he added.

Although he couldn't promise that the bike for sale to the public would be identical to the presidential motorcade version, Chemezov noted that "it will definitely use the design and technical solutions used" in the Kortezh (Cortege) project version.

Published on Nov 22, 2017 (2:17 min.)

The bike will be sold both in Russia and abroad, the official confirmed. The price has yet to be set. Series production of the motorcycle has yet to begin. Earlier, Chemezov told reporters that the Kortezh motorcycle would start production in 2019 at the earliest.

According to publically available information, the Kortzeh motorcycle, which has yet to receive a name, has a curb weight of a whopping 500 kg, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 250 km/h, and an engine putting out close to 150 hp. Rostec has promised that when completed, the bike will match or surpass the standards of its foreign competitors. At the moment, the Kremlin Garage uses Ural and BMW motorcycles to accompany the presidential motorcade.

Last month, a company involved the Kortezh project confirmed that the new vehicles have already received interest from foreign governments. On July 6, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that a company from the UAE would be investing some 110 million euros in the Kortezh project. Plans are in place to market the vehicles in the civilian market under the Aurus brand name starting in 2019.

In addition to the limousine, sedan, minivan and motorcycle, a Kortezh SUV is also in the works, and is also expected to be introduced in 2019, with a prototype to be completed before the end of 2018.

Named after the Kremlin Towers, the Kortezh's limousine and sedan are called the 'Senate', the minivan the 'Arsenal', and the SUV the 'Kommandant'.
