Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

It begins, "I have a dream." and was posted on August 27.
Hmm, was that a US scriptwriter working based on a what-happened-on-that-day-calendar, because Martin Luther King's speech: I Have a Dream, is from August 28, 2022.
"I Have a Dream" is a public speech that was delivered by American civil rights activist and Baptist minister,[2] Martin Luther King Jr., during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963. In the speech, King called for civil and economic rights and an end to racism in the United States. Delivered to over 250,000 civil rights supporters from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., the speech was a defining moment of the civil rights movement and among the most iconic speeches in American history.[3][4]

Beginning with a reference to the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared millions of slaves free in 1863,[5] King said "one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free".[6] Toward the end of the speech, King departed from his prepared text for a partly improvised peroration on the theme "I have a dream", prompted by Mahalia Jackson's cry: "Tell them about the dream, Martin!"[7] In this part of the speech, which most excited the listeners and has now become its most famous, King described his dreams of freedom and equality arising from a land of slavery and hatred.[8]
Coincidence? I doubt it, but that is how elements of an event, or a symbol, can be re-worked into propaganda, just like advertisements play on the minds of the customers to make them buy a product, a service, or an idea.

Yes, they clearly used the image and the phrase of doctor king due to the feelings of guilt that it arouses in people for not doing much in the face of unjust people and evil... although the speech was given on august 28, the phrase de King is famous enough on its own.
PS: They would have removed the F-22 from the list to make it less ridiculous... but as we said, the objective is merely propaganda for the masses.

8 more Himars MLRS could be transferred from the territory of neighboring Romania to Ukraine.

Despite the fact that the United States has not officially announced the supply of additional Himars MLRS to Ukraine, and Ukraine has not announced their receipt, there are suspicions that an additional 8 launchers of this weapon could have been delivered from the territory of neighboring Romania. This is due to the recent activity of the Himars MLRS near the border of Romania and Ukraine, as well as a sharply increased number of cases of the use of such weapons.

A few weeks ago, journalists of the Avia information and news agency. We have already published video footage of Himars MLRS, spotted several dozen kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The appearance of American MLRS turned out to be very unusual, since no exercises were reported, while later at least 10 Himars launchers were spotted near the border with Moldova, through whose territory weapons for the Armed Forces were also actively transferred.

It is noteworthy that over the past two weeks, the AFU began to strike with the use of Himars MLRS much more actively, which caused a number of suspicions that the Romanian systems could be transferred to the AFU in exchange for the expected supply of additional weapons for the needs of the Romanian Armed Forces.

Warsaw plans to transfer to Kiev all Soviet weapons that are in service with Poland - more than 500 tanks
Poland is considering sending 500 tanks and about 1,000 BMP-1s to Ukraine.

At the moment, Warsaw is considering the possibility that a huge amount of weapons could be transferred to Ukraine, which would not only make up for all the existing losses of this armored vehicle from Ukraine, but would also lead to an increase in the number of these weapons. To date, Poland is armed with about 500 tanks, and over a thousand infantry fighting vehicles BMP-1, not to mention other Soviet-style weapons, which may become one of the largest arms supplies to Ukraine.

At the moment, it is known that Warsaw is ready to send its military equipment and weapons to Ukraine, provided that Poland is promptly provided with foreign weapons to replace the Soviet one. So far, there are no direct indications that Ukraine will receive tanks and other armored vehicles from Poland in the coming months, however, it is likely that this may become quite possible at the beginning of next year.

The transfer of heavy weapons to Ukraine can become a very serious threat, since Poland still has about fifty multiple launch rocket systems, hundreds of tanks, numerous artillery installations, air defense systems, etc. Experts note that at the moment direct negotiations between Warsaw and Kiev are not underway, however, the United States may well provide a replacement for the Polish armaments with their own supplies, at least until Poland receives the acquired weapons.

Ukrainian troops are defeated while trying to transfer to the Kherson region
The APU tried to transfer a significant part of the troops to the Kherson region, but were defeated.

The attempt of the Ukrainian military to launch a counterattack resulted in serious losses for the Ukrainian army. As a result of the unsuccessful crossing of the river separating the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, near the locality of Lozove, the AFU lost about four motorized rifle companies and at least ten units of military equipment of various types.

To date, this is the first attempt by the AFU to transfer its troops through Ingulets, however, based on the data of the country's defense department, the situation has developed far from in favor of the Ukrainian army.

"In the area of the locality of Lozove, Kherson region, units of the 46th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated, who made another attempt to secretly force the Ingulets River. The enemy's losses amounted to more than one hundred and thirty militants and 10 pieces of military equipment," it was said during a regular briefing.

Kiev has not yet commented on the current situation in the region and the loss of its troops, however, given the current situation, it is clearly premature to talk about attempts that the APU may try to launch an unexpected counteroffensive.

Polish mercenaries in Ukraine launched a counterattack in the area of the Red Liman.

A group of mercenaries from Poland attempted to seize a significant territory and a stronghold in the area of the Red Liman. The surprise attack was carried out at night in order to conceal the movement of a large enemy group. Data on this account are provided by the journalists of the WarGonzo project.

As follows from the presented data, the attack on the stronghold located in the area of the Red Liman was carried out by a fairly large group of mercenaries. In all likelihood, the capture of this area in the Slavic direction would have given Kiev a significant advantage, however, the enemy's attack was successfully repulsed, while the members of the Polish PMCs were forced to retreat with significant losses.

"The attack took place at night. A group of militants, among whom, judging by the interceptions and screams during the melee, were mostly Poles, tried to capture a stronghold of the Russian army in the vicinity of the Red Liman. However, the neo-Nazis were out of luck. The post was defended by the Cossack detachment of snow leopards "Kuban". The enemy, having suffered losses, was thrown back into the forest and retreated. As a result of the clash, the Kuban fighters seized trophies, including foreign-made grenade launchers," the report said.

An attempt to attack positions in the area of the Red Liman indicates that Kiev is still preparing for counter-offensive actions, however, it is quite obvious that the latter have no chance of success.

In Miami, they buy weapons from the population to be sent to Ukraine
29.08.2022 - 5:00
In the American city of Miami announced the collection of firearms for shipment to Ukraine. This is stated on the official page of the city in the social network, where they posted an offer to hand over the weapons available to citizens.

In return, gift cards will be issued. For a pistol — a card for $ 50, for a machine gun or rifle — 100, for a reinforced army—style machine gun - $ 150.

It is also proposed to hand over homemade weapons, but cards will not be issued for it.

For $ 50 now, even the most poorly pistol can not be bought. In addition, it is unclear for what interest to send fenced carbines to the Ukrainians, who do not know how to shoot bursts. And they are very sensitive to the quality of gunpowder and contamination. Yes, and a NATO cartridge is needed. That's really something, but there are a lot of automatic machines in Ukraine. Hunting weapons also have excessive energy and degraded ballistics compared to combat. In short, some kind of scam.

Zelensky promises to recapture Donbass

28 Aug, 2022
Ukraine has not forgotten any of its cities, the president says

President Vladimir Zelensky said in his daily evening address on Sunday that Ukraine will recapture Donbass, which is now almost fully seized by Russian forces.

“We have not forgotten and will not forget any of our cities and any of our people,” he said.

“Now Donbass is almost destroyed by Russian strikes, devastated. The proud and glorious Ukrainian Donetsk was humiliated by the Russian occupation and robbed. But Ukraine will return. For sure. Life will return. The dignity of the people of Donbass will return. The ability to live will return. The opportunity to live safely and happily,” the president added.

According to him, this is what the Ukrainian flag will symbolize “when we set it up in Donetsk, Gorlovka, Mariupol, in all cities of Donbass, Azov area, in all areas under Russian occupation – in Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Kherson regions. And definitely in Crimea.”

“Ukraine remembers everything,”
Zelensky said.

The US may be helping Ukraine prepare for an impending counteroffensive against Russia, the Washington Post claimed in a piece published this week, pointing to the type of weaponry making up the latest batch of military aid pledged to Kiev by the Pentagon. Last month, a number of top Ukrainian officials suggested that the country’s military would launch a counteroffensive in the south of the country in August to retake the city of Kherson.

Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, citing Kiev’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements, designed to give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state. The protocols, brokered by Germany and France, were first signed in 2014. Former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko has since admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces.”

In February 2022, the Kremlin recognized the Donbass republics as independent states and demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join any Western military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked.

Russia practically eliminates remnants of Ukraine’s Air Force — source

29 AUG, 2022
The source said that attempts to recruit more pilots in Poland and other Eastern European countries were not particularly successful

MOSCOW, August 29. /TASS/. The staff of Ukraine’s Air Force have been practically eliminated by Russia’s Aerospace Forces and air defense systems, a military-diplomatic source told TASS on Monday.

"The entire qualified operating personnel of Ukraine’s former air force - of Mig-29, Su-27 and Su-25 aircraft - have been practically eliminated by the effective actions of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the air defense systems," the source said.

According to it, the West’s promises to deliver more Soviet-made combat planes will most likely remain unfulfilled. The source specified that Ukraine was forced to involve poorly trained air cadets for combat sorties which led to "catastrophic losses among the remnants of the Ukrainian aviation."

The source said that attempts to recruit more pilots in Poland and other Eastern European countries were not particularly successful. "The few who agreed are already in grave or in hospitals," he explained.

Pentagon to train former Afghan pilots for deployment in Ukraine

29 AUG, 2022
According to the source, this involves not only the former pilots but also other Afghans who served in special units

MOSCOW, August 29. /TASS/. The Pentagon will train former Afghan pilots in California to send them to Ukraine via Poland, a military-diplomatic source told TASS on Monday.

"As we know, the Pentagon began recruiting former Afghan pilots who ran to the US together with the Americans a year ago. Their training now kicks off in California with plans to dispatch all of them to Ukraine via Poland afterwards," the source said.

According to the source, this involves not only the former pilots but also other Afghans who served in special units. "They are also offered to undergo training and sign a contract which involves the subsequent deployment to the combat zone in Ukraine," the source specified.

According to him, these measures won’t affect the outcome of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. "All these hysterical attempts ‘to plug holes’ will only somewhat postpone the Kiev regime’s military catastrophe and the political one of its sponsors in Washington. Yet they won’t impact the end result," the source noted.

CIA airlifted thousands of Afghan commandos accused of war crimes and serious abuses out of country during withdrawal – reports

6 Oct, 2021
Before the Taliban takeover in August, the CIA reportedly evacuated thousands of Afghan commandos belonging to its shadowy Zero units. These outfits conducted deadly night raids and have been accused of committing “war crimes.”

The agency flew out more than 20,000 “Afghan partners” and their families, according to two unnamed former officers cited in a recent Washington Post editorial. The US is thought to have gotten between 60,000 and 120,000 Afghans out of the country.

The airlift of as many as 7,000 Zero unit members and their relatives was an agency priority, The Intercept reported. An unidentified former senior US intelligence official told the investigative news outlet that most of the commandos were flown to Qatar, where CIA officers helped get them sent to the US.

“The US should not be offering safe haven to those who committed war crimes or serious human rights abuses,” Patricia Gossman, associate director for Human Rights Watch’s Asia division, told The Intercept. In 2019, the rights group documented 14 instances where it alleged CIA-backed strike forces committed “serious abuses” as part of a larger pattern of violations, including “war crimes.”

In Afghanistan, these forces were never held accountable for their actions, which included summary executions and other abuses. The US and any other countries resettling members of these units should screen arrivals and investigate any for their possible involvement in human rights violations.

However, in an interview last month, former CIA director George Tenet supposedly spoke of a “sacred obligation” to “our Afghan partners” to whom the US owed an “immense debt” for helping “stop al-Qaeda.” Tenet added that the “agency honors its commitments.”

Apparently first called the Mohawks by the US government, Zero units were trained by the CIA to fight guerrilla-style out of American outposts in northern and eastern Afghanistan. According to The Intercept, the program’s original purpose was to allow the CIA to conduct cross-border operations into Pakistan while allowing the US to avoid accountability.

The commando units became infamous for deadly night raids that are thought to have killed an unknown number of non-combatants across the country over the years. The outlet documented 10 raids by one such unit, known as 01, conducted in Wardak province that killed at least 51 civilians, including children – many allegedly killed execution-style at close range.

Two former senior Afghan officials told the outlet that a 2010 agreement between the agency and the Afghan government had led to the creation of a joint program that brought the Zero units and other militias – collectively called National Strike Units (NSUs) – under the umbrella of the country’s former intelligence service, the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

This allowed the CIA to claim plausible deniability against accusations of rights abuses, The Intercept reports. However, the officials said the units were still exclusively funded by the US government. In 2019, then-Afghan national security adviser Hamdullah Mohib told the outlet that 01 was under CIA control and said he was not “fully aware… of how they work.”

Most 01 missions were also reportedly led by a small number of CIA “advisers.” The unit was based out of an agency compound called ‘Eagle Base’ northeast of Kabul that also supposedly housed a former agency black site called the ‘Salt Pit’, where it is thought prisoners were interrogated and tortured in the war’s earliest years.

Before the base was destroyed during the American withdrawal, it had been a “transit point” in the evacuation efforts, according to the Post editorial, which also noted that a secret visit to Kabul by CIA Director William Burns had laid the groundwork for the withdrawal of the covert units.

Ahead of the August 31 deadline for withdrawal of coalition personnel, plans for an orderly departure crumbled into a desperate scramble to leave as crowds of Afghans rushed to Kabul airport.

Although President Joe Biden called it a “success,” critics slammed the chaotic withdrawal that saw US forces leave behind Afghans who helped them over the past 20 years. During the evacuation, a suicide attack claimed by an Afghan affiliate of the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorist group killed over 170 people, including 13 US servicemen.

The FSB has identified the accomplice of the murderer Dugina
29.08.2022 - 10:35

The FSB Public Relations Center reports that the service staff has identified a member of the Ukrainian sabotage and terrorist group who, together with Natalia Vovk, was preparing a murder.

It turned out to be Bogdan Tsyganenko. He arrived in Russia via Estonia on July 30 and left the country the day before the murder.

It was he who provided Vovk with fake car license plates and documents in the name of a real citizen of Kazakhstan Yulia Zaiko. Also, together with Vovk, he assembled a homemade bomb in a rented garage in the southwest of Moscow.

Then she followed Dugina in the parking lot for the guests of the festival "Tradition" personally for Vovk, she went for her car in a Mini Cooper and set the bomb in action.

The day after the Defense of Ukraine posted the Tweet about their Dream of having all the planes in NATO at their disposal, while, playing on a speech by Martin Luther King, they gave thanks to their partners in NAFO, apparently a Twitter support group.

I looked up the group at NAFO / North Atlantic Fella Organization
About
NAFO
, an acronym for North Atlantic Fella Organization, is a collective of Twitter posters set on fundraising for the Georgian Legion in Ukraine amidst the Russian invasion of the country, as well as combatting Russian propaganda on the site, largely through memes involving photoshops of the Shiba Inu and meme character Cheems.
It is hard to say how much of a group like the above is for state sponsored activity, and what is private. It could be both.

Google search trends and what they might tell us
Through the above site, I came to another page that covers memes about the RU-UA/West conflict. It has a diagram at the end, displayed in the screenshot below for the term Ukraine, where "The numbers represent the search interest relative to the highest point in the chart for that area and time. A value of 100 is the greatest popularity of the term, a value of 50 means that the term is half as popular, and a result of 0 means that there was not enough data for the term."
Screenshot 2022-08-29 092707.jpg
It is now down to three percent of what it was in February, but below the diagram, there is a map:
Screenshot 2022-08-29 105256.jpg
And they explain:
Explore results by region
When you search for a term in Google Trends, you see a map showing areas where your term is popular. Darker shades indicate where your term has a higher probability of being searched.

If you compare search terms, you see a map of the world shaded according to the term’s popularity. The color intensity represents the percentage of searches for the leading search term in a particular region. Search term popularity is relative to the total number of Google searches performed at a specific time, in a specific location.
One can try many other search items with Ukraine and Russia, and it appears some search strings are just more common in some countries than in others, which may be due to the features of the local language when translated to English, as well as local habits of working with the search engines.

A very simple search string like the word Ukraine gave this result and map for the whole world:
Screenshot 2022-08-29 111028.jpgScreenshot 2022-08-29 111047.jpg
The interest is at the moment down to 12 % of what it was in February. I don't know if the above result for Ukraine includes other searches where the word Ukraine was only a par, but it is possible that a simple search gives a better picture of the interest than a specialized search string, that only few would use.

Panel: "Russia & the Great Reset - Resistance or Complicity?"

A panel discussion moderated by Whitney Webb. With Matthew Ehret, Iain Davis, Riley Waggaman, Tom Luongo, and Kit Knightly.

It is an open debate, that is to say they don’t always agree, and at time become impassioned with their statements. And they did hold it together pretty well.

2 hours long and lots of opinions and data discussed.

A take home point that they were “mostly” in agreement on was: Yes, this is a real war of basically east against west, BUT the outcome either way will be the same for us. Both sides have the SAME PLAN, and that is: continuance of the medical emergencies, digital ID, digital currency, digital passports, facial recognition, and QR codes for everyone. Data points, and discussion on how Russia may be every bit as draconian as the west with these issues.

Then why the battle? The west-side wants one ruler for all. And the Russia/China (and others) side wants each country to have control of its own area of influence.

Video below:

The long-announced "counteroffensive in the south" still took place. Inglorious for Ukrainians, as expected.

Fire "bag" for the APU: Some details of the results of the enemy's counterattack in the area of the village of Sukhoi Stavok are given
Today, 07:40

After the major losses suffered on the eve of the AFU during the next adventure in the Kherson direction, a summary of the General Staff of Ukraine was released. At the same time, the summary again does not say a word that on the eve of the Ukrainian troops, on the personal order of President Zelensky, tried to counterattack in the north of the Kherson region.

The official representative of the military department of Ukraine, Alexander Shtupun, said about the numerous strikes that Russian artillery and aviation inflicted on Ukrainian troops in a number of areas in the southern direction. These are Alexandrovka, Estuaries, Novonikolayevka, Partizanskoe, Trudolyubovka, Andreevka.

At the same time, as if the summary was copied from several previous ones, it was again announced about an attempt by the Russian offensive in the area of the settlement of Potemkino to the west of the Kakhovsky reservoir.

Meanwhile, some details of yesterday's "counteroffensive" of Ukrainian troops in the southern direction are coming. The enemy decided to use the option of advancing from the so-called bridgehead on the left bank of the Ingulets River in the territory of the Kherson region. The advance was actually carried out on the bare steppe with minimal air support. At the same time, there was full control of this advance from the Russian side.

After waiting for the enemy forces to stretch for several kilometers in the direction of Andreevka – Sukhoi Stavka, strikes began from several directions against the militants. The means of artillery and aviation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were used. Eventually, in the area of the village of Sukhoi Stavki, Ukrainian forces found themselves in a fire bag. In this direction, enemy personnel with a total strength of up to three companies were destroyed. The number of damaged or completely destroyed armored vehicles is more than three dozen. During the night, there was a sweep of the territories to which the Ukrainian troops had advanced. The remnants of the Ukrainian formations were destroyed in a forest plantation, where they tried to hide. As a result, as already reported, the Ukrainian army during the so-called counteroffensive in the south at the same time lost the largest number of servicemen in 2 months.

Recall that on the eve of the Russian Defense Ministry reported an attempt by Ukrainian troops to counterattack in three directions. As a result of these attempts, Ukrainian troops lost at least 560 people and about 60 armored vehicles. Two Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft were also shot down.

OK I must have missed the memo, so, perhaps someone can explain. The Russians have total air superiority and beaucoup high-tech gadgety of the most advanced kind. They have drones and boots on the ground, tanks and missiles.

And yet there is this persistent ongoing shelling (which implies artillery...CANNONS, if you will) of a power plant which the Russians seem powerless to stop.

Does that ANY make sense? What am I missing? How can they not pinpoint freaking cannon fire with all the war tech they surely have? Sure, the artillery could be from motorized units, but they are on the ground, rolling around. This makes no sense unless the artillery has Klingon cloaking devices.

Artillery shells are harder to intercept than missiles, but have a shorter range and lower impact. One or two might get through, but after that their firing positions are likely to be detected immediately.

They also need a bunker-busting missile to destroy the power plant. The Russians are capable of intercepting those.

I'm actually not that worried about the situation.

Steady losses of material

And now on August 27, or two weeks later the picture is that Ukraine keeps loosing equipment in pretty much all areas, where there is something to lose:

Material for Ukraine is being sourced from other countries. Someone was even was partially successful in organizing planes from Kazakhstan, according to this Tweet:

Intel Slava Z had:

Other details from the Russian MoD

In the map below, the place from where the shells were fired is located directly opposite the power plant, 10-15 km away.

I think it's worth looking at the picture from the message above. How much has been destroyed and is being destroyed every day, but they are all shooting and shooting and apparently some really Klingon technique is needed to stop it at the count of once. And the meaning is different for everyone. It makes sense for our people that they not to shoot, it makes sense for them to shoot, and to shoot at cities and at nuclear power plants in order to cause more damage.
