Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

The biggest refinery in Europe, Shell’s Pernis in the Netherlands, suffered a malfunction late on Wednesday, which could exacerbate an already worsening fuel supply situation in northwest Europe due to the strikes in France.
I didn't know Pernis was the biggest refinery in Europe.:-[ Sabotage? Just for some context (although I could be wrong): The Dutch public prosecutor is suing NAM (Dutch Oil Company) for pollution. This is interesting, because for years and years the Dutch authorities allowed the company to drill gas up North while all kinds of (small) earthquakes kept hitting the area.

And just the other day they said in the news that criminals have been posing a threat to the crown princess and she has now left Amsterdam where she was a student. I don't know whether it is relevant, but I think it's all very strange. Distraction? Pressure on the Dutch government to stay away from their own gas resources, which would make them and surrounding countries like Germany and Belgium more independent from the Empire of Chaos?

At the same time there was a strange news item where they first reported that the European public prosecutor had invaded The Hague Tax Office. They later denied that this was the case and stated that it was a part of a larger international investigation. More pressure on Europe and a reminder to toe the Empire's line?:umm::huh:

The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) did not conduct an investigation on Wednesday morning at the headquarters of the tax authorities in the Hague, as mentioned earlier. A spokesman for the Tax Office said NU.nl know that this is a misunderstanding.

The EPPO was present in the building together with the fiscal intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD), but only to travel further from there.

Several dozen cars of the FIOD were parked at the entrance to the Tax Office on Wednesday morning. Now it turns out that FIOD employees met people from the EPPO in the building and then went somewhere else.

So the tax office was not invaded for investigation, says the spokesman. Why the EOM and the FIOD did meet remains unclear.

The EPPO conducts international investigations into, for example, cross-border VAT fraud. "I can confirm that it is part of a larger international investigation we are conducting," a spokesperson said.

"We are responsible for tackling crimes against the budget of the European Union. This could include, for example, corruption, misuse of European funds or customs fraud, all crimes that have an impact on European money."

It's a funny circus going on in the global business for few years. No doubt China and India also doing this. US buying from Russia and reselling to Europe for huge profit margins.

Last year US asked India why India is doing. India indirectly told US that that some major Western countries doing too. That's it for then. Few years back, there is a huge Indian public sentiment to ban the Chinese products to the country after Doklam stand off, which Indian govt. promptly did . It took India few quarters or a year to realize that China sold the same through some small neighboring countries. That's how it goes.

I was at work tonight and my work colleague told me about this. All of them in the office said Putin is backing down, Russia are clearly running out of weapons. They also said Putin was open to talks.
I told them if the west let them talk that would be great but I'd be surprised if that happens.
Anyway still think there's going to be such a hard reality punch delivered soon. Honestly its like we're living on different planets.

NATO member states set to hold nuclear deterrence drills starting next week

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced on October 11 that the military alliance intended to hold a long-planned nuclear deterrence exercise and that he did not believe that the drills should be cancelled over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine
BRUSSELS, October 14. /TASS/. NATO is set to launch its regular military drills on nuclear deterrence starting on October 17 and until October 30, the alliance’s press service said in a statement on Friday.

"Air forces from across NATO will exercise nuclear deterrence capabilities involving dozens of aircraft over north-western Europe starting on Monday [October 17, 2022]," the statement reads.

"The exercise, which runs until 30 October, is a routine, recurring training activity and it is not linked to any current world events," according to the statement from NATO.

"Exercise ‘Steadfast Noon’ involves 14 countries and up to 60 aircraft of various types, including fourth and fifth generation fighter jets, as well as surveillance and tanker aircraft," according to NATO.

The statement also quoted NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu as saying that: "This exercise helps ensure that the Alliance’s nuclear deterrent remains safe, secure and effective."

I was immediately reminded of the annual Taurid meteor shower campaign which is expected to appear between Ocober 28 and November 11 in 2022. ☄️

West wanted to bleed out Russia through Ukraine. Seems that the oposite is happening, West is bleeding. More precisely Russia lets them bleed theyselves through Ukraine. That needs time, and thats why Russia is in no hurry.

Thats very nice checkmate.

In hindsight, I do think that the bleeding of the EU was a major part of the plan, though.
Isn’t that what they desired and worked towards all along in the first place ?
More out of desperation.

They want to flip the chessboard because they are losing. But who says the pieces will fall in their favor?

OSIT
4/10 said the Cs (that number can vary), coming back to the matter, that was the plan surely, but they did not count on the problems that Putin is giving them and with it that Russia is not sinking as they fantasized, so the matter is half done.

The drama increases:

EUs LNG storage space runs out as Brussels braces for winter without Russian gas
The European Union’s self-imposed energy crisis is taking a turn for the worse. The political elites in Brussels and their suicidal subservience to Washington DC is breaking records day by day. The latest energy hurdle the bloc is facing is a chronic lack of transport ships carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States to EU countries. According toBloomberg, as the bloc is trying to prepare for a winter without Russian natural gas and other crucial commodities, LNG shipping rates are surging, but this will not be enough to meet the EU’s energy needs this season. The report states that European countries are now paying to keep the LNG transport ships loaded with natural gas in ports as onshore LNG storage facilities are full.

As companies are racing to charter entire fleets of LNG transport ships, there is a growing fear that there will not be enough vessels capable of transporting natural gas from the US. This problem is further exacerbated by those ready to pay for the already-loaded ships to stay in ports. Gas Market Report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), released on October 3, states that the demand for LNG in EU member states surged by 65% for the first three quarters of 2022 when compared to the same period last year.

In the aftermath of anti-Russian sanctions, the EU was forced to import less from Russia. According to OilPrice.com, in June, the bloc imported more natural gas from the US than from Russia for the first time in its history. A Reuters report claims that up to 70% of US LNG exports were sent to the EU in September, which was a 7% increase in comparison to August. In the meantime, countries in East Asia and South America are also trying to acquire more natural gas in preparation for the winter season, which is adding even more pressure on shipping companies. Worse yet, US states in New England, which are dependent on LNG imports, are now forced to compete with EU buyers, which further drives up prices, according to Seeking Alpha.

Europe Turns to Africa to Replace Gas Energy it Once Got From Russia
A new liquefied natural gas project off Africa’s western coast may only be 80% complete, but already the prospect of a new energy supplier has drawn visits from the leaders of Poland and Germany.

The initial field near Senegal and Mauritania´s coastlines is expected to contain about 15 trillion cubic feet (425 billion cubic meters) of gas, five times more than what gas-dependent Germany used in all of 2019. But production isn’t expected to start until the end of next year.

That won’t help solve Europe’s energy crisis triggered by Russia’s war in Ukraine. Still, Gordon Birrell, an executive for project co-developer BP, says the development “could not be more timely” as Europe seeks to reduce its reliance on Russian natural gas to power factories, generate electricity and heat homes.

Israel giving intel on Russia's Iranian drones to Ukraine - report
Israel has been providing Ukraine with "basic intelligence" on the Iranian drones used by Russia in its invasion, The New York Times said on Wednesday.

A senior Israeli official reportedly told the Times about the intelligence sharing, and that a private Israeli firm was also giving Ukraine satellite imagery of Russian troop positions.
"We are told that there are allegedly no Iranian drones in Ukraine. Well, we’ll find ways to ensure that there aren't any left, indeed."
