Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Getting shafted isn't limited to Europe:

Its Time To Cut Zelensky and Ing-wen From the US Dole

As it pertains to the American public, Ukraine’s response to the Russian invasion can be summed up with two words: "Zelensky demands."

To date, Washington elites and their politicians have been happy to provide – at public expense – lining their own pockets in the process.

As of this writing, U.S. aid for Ukraine has reached approximately $67.5 billion, a figure greater than Russia’s entire 2021 military budget. According to the State Department, this support includes $15.2 billion in direct military assistance. The support comes although 60-70% of lethal aid never reaches the front lines, according to a now-redacted CBS interview with on-the-ground activists.

Not only is the American taxpayer supporting much of the Ukrainian military, it is also supporting the Ukrainian government. The same working class Americans who were deemed "nonessential" in 2020 – who saw their businesses shuttered and burned down – now have to pay entitlement programs both at home and in Ukraine.

The Book layout is pretty close to the original from H.
I think it's fake though. Maybe they want to advertise some elensky books like biographies to raise sales (generate publicity), probably nobody is buying them otherwise.

Or under a different title? Who's the authour of the 'Mein Kampf' version?

Volodymyr Zelensky Ukraine Hero Warrior President Love Him Mug Gift, White Funny Sarcasm Coffee Cup Novelty : Amazon.ca: Home

What the heck? Weird but also just funny, I feel my face taking on a couple of expressions when contemplating this oddity - surprise, a kind of shocked misgiving, the shaking of the head and rolling of the eyes but also a kind of desperate chuckle ...

And is it a book written by Zelensky and/or written in his name? Or is it a fake? Is Zelensky the author? Or is the author someone else writing about Zelensky?

Zelenski is spelled with a "E" (hard "e", as in English pronunciation of his surname) and not with a "Є" (ye) as on the photo. In Russian his surname is pronounced softly with "ye" and in Ukrainian with "e".

An editorial in China Daily on the topic of the investigation of the Nord Stream gas lines explosions.
Nord Stream probes must be transparent: China Daily editorial
chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2022-10-18 19:38
The European Union's agency for criminal justice cooperation, Eurojust, recently proposed a joint investigation team be established to probe the explosions that ruptured the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines in September. However, Stockholm has blocked the initiative on the grounds that there is information in Sweden's own investigation "that is subject to confidentiality" as it is directly linked to national security, according to Mats Ljungqvist, the prosecutor leading Sweden's criminal investigation into the pipeline leaks in its economic zone.

Sweden won't even share the findings of its investigation into the explosions with the Russian authorities or the operator of the pipelines, Gazprom.

Although Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin sent a letter to the Swedish government requesting that the Russian authorities and Gazprom be involved in the Swedish investigation, Sweden denied the request. Russia has consequently said that it will not recognize the results of any probes unless its experts are allowed to take part in them.

Initially, Sweden, Denmark and Germany planned to conduct a joint investigation to determine what happened to the pipelines that link Russia and Germany via the Baltic Sea. But they have each subsequently conducted their own separate investigations.

Considering the complicated relationships of the parties involved, it is hard to imagine any of them changing their position. But the unwillingness to cooperate and include Russia in an investigation will only allow the finger-pointing and blame game to continue. This in turn means a lack of transparency about whether the explosions were caused by sabotage, World War II munitions that had been dumped in the area, or some other cause. Given that the leaks have released huge amounts of temperature-raising methane into the atmosphere, they are also an environmental catastrophe that demands determining the cause.

Meanwhile, Europe, which previously relied on Russia for about 40 percent of its gas, was already facing an acute winter energy crisis in the aftermath of Moscow drastically cutting supplies of gas in retaliation to the EU sanctions on Russia. The damage to the Nord Stream pipelines has made the EU's energy crisis worse. Although it is in line with the EU's climate goals for Europeans to try and save more energy, having to save energy because of a shortage of energy is different from choosing to save it. The enforced shutdown of the Nord Stream pipelines might even delay the bloc's green transition by reducing people's enthusiasm for an end to the use of fossil fuels. Germany, for one, has already reopened coal plants that had been mothballed.

A joint investigation into the Nord Stream explosions could not only help shed some light on what actually happened, but also dispel suspicions and lay the groundwork for the necessary work to repair the pipelines and restore supplies of gas, which would in turn help the EU to stay on its green transition track.
In other words:
1) The European Union could not come to a decision of a common investigation, because Sweden disagreed. Very well, that shows that differences are tolerated, or was this an excuse, because then the other countries could have done what they could with the lines that were in their waters, but they didn't.
2) Leaving the EU, Not even Sweden, Denmark and Germany could cooperate - or were they told not to? And leaving Sweden out, not even Denmark and Germany. What kind of mistrust and rivalry rules the EU?
3) All went alone and nobody invited Russia.
4) No real information beyond the level suitable for a 4 year old has been shared with the public or with Russia, as if the public of the respective countries are enemies on par with Russia. Or is it blackmail and fear of other kinds of sabotage? Sure, Russians will take a close look at the images from Sweden, but it is a very short recording, there must be much more to show and to see. And if Sweden could share, why not Germany and Denmark.

Current activity in the port city of Kherson Ukraine shows the Ukraine Army suffering major losses of personnel and hardware.

19 Oct, 2022 13:16
Ukrainian forces are moving toward the Russian border city of Kherson, media and local officials report. The Russian authorities have begun relocating residents eastward across the Dnieper River.

Kherson, the capital of a formerly Ukrainian region that joined Russia following a referendum in September, is located on the western bank of the Dnieper River, which exposes it to possible Ukrainian attacks. On Wednesday, the deputy head of the local administration, Kirill Stremousov, reported an escalation of hostilities involving up to two Ukrainian infantry battalions.

“After preliminary bombardment by the artillery, the group went on the offensive. There is a large number of enemy middle-range drones and reconnaissance Bayraktar drones keeping out of the reach of air defenses,” he announced in a statement on social media.
“At this point of time, all attacks have been fended off. We are holding the defense line,” the official added.

The regional and city authorities had earlier offered assurances that Russia had no intention of allowing Ukraine to capture Kherson. At the same time, Russian officials warned that the Ukrainian move posed an imminent threat to the people residing in the city.

On Tuesday, the head of the region, Vladimir Saldo, announced that the civilian population of Kherson would be relocated to the other side of the Dnieper. He warned that Ukraine could destroy a dam at the Kakhovka hydropower plant upstream, which would make crossing the river much more difficult for some time. In his latest comments he estimated that over 5,000 civilians had been moved out of Kherson in less than two days.

Some of those who are relocating will be temporarily sheltered in the eastern part of the region, while others will be housed elsewhere in Russia, Saldo clarified on Wednesday. Seaside hotels and other seasonal facilities are currently available, he added.

The regional administration is also moving out of Kherson and will be based on the left side of the Dnieper, the official added.

In an interview on the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Tuesday, the recently appointed overall commander of operations in Ukraine, Russian Army General Sergey Surovikin, described the situation near Kherson as “tense” and warned that the military may have to make “difficult decisions.”

Most of Kherson Region was captured by Russian forces in the early weeks of its military campaign. Its people voted last month to break away from Kiev and join Russia, a request that Moscow granted. Kiev considers the territory to be temporarily occupied and has pledged to use military force to bring it back under its control.

Vladimir Saldo added that "only those with a pass from the military commandant's office" will be able to enter the region
MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. The Kherson Region will be closed to inbound civilian traffic for seven days due to an uneasy situation in the region, the region’s acting governor, Vladimir Saldo, said on the Rossiya-24 round-the-clock television news channel on Wednesday.

"If hostilities break out, there will be an artillery cannonade. They will bomb the city. It is better to take people elsewhere, which we are doing right now. For this work to be more orderly, the entry of civilians into the territory of the Kherson region is suspended for seven days," he said.

Saldo added that "only those with a pass from the military commandant's office" will be able to enter the region.
"Mostly this concerns those who are engaged in life support services and providing supplies and public utilities personnel," he added.

Saldo also stressed that work was underway to increase the throughput of ferry services to speed up the process of evacuating civilians from the right bank of the Dnieper.

"Boats that can transport people are being commissioned. Since the morning, people have been gathering at the designated sites in the city: the river port in the first place. Today we will add a few more sites where evacuees can assemble," Saldo said.

Earlier, Saldo said that civilians from the right-bank part of the region would be evacuated to the left bank of the Dnieper in view of a threat of flooding that might occur, if the Ukrainian military hit the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant. He also noted that Ukraine "is building up huge forces in the Nikolayev and Krivoy Rog areas." He stressed that the decision to evacuate civilians was also due "the creation of large-scale defensive fortifications, so that any attack could be rolled back repulsed.".

At the same time, Benny Gantz pointed out that Israel still intended to limit itself to providing only non-military assistance to Kiev
TEL AVIV, October 19. /TASS/. Israel, together with its NATO allies, supports Ukraine, but still has no intention to supply Kiev with weapons, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Wednesday at a meeting with EU envoys, the Defense Ministry’s press service reported.
"Israel supports Ukraine, NATO and the West and stands with them - this is something we’ve stated in the past and repeat today. Israel continues to support Ukraine through humanitarian aid deliveries and supply of life-saving defense equipment. I plan to approve an additional [aid] package, as we’ve done before," the press service of the Israeli Defense Ministry quoted him as saying.

At the same time, Gantz pointed out that Israel still intended to limit itself to providing only non-military assistance to Kiev. "At that, I would like to stress that Israel will not supply weapons systems to Ukraine due to a number of operational reasons. We will continue to support Ukraine within our constraints, as we’ve done in the past," he noted.

The top brass added that Israel was ready to help Ukraine in the development of an advanced air attack warning system as part of this policy. "We have sent the Ukrainians a request for an exchange of information regarding their needs in the area of air alert systems. As soon as we get this information, we will be able to help them develop a life-saving early warning system for civilians," Gantz noted.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said on Tuesday that his country would send an official message to the Israeli government asking it to immediately provide Kiev with air defense systems. So far, Israel has not provided Ukraine with any military aid and has limited itself to sending humanitarian supplies to the country and providing medical aid to Ukrainians wounded as result of hostilities.

It is on telegram Telegram Web
It says:

My comment: "Und täglich grüßt das Murmeltier" (Grundhog day)

Well, there is a possibility that this is just "home made" print, or the kind of print, which you can order (mugs, books, etc), made with your own design at a photo print service. I have not been able to find any similar photo or Zelensky book like that, anywhere published (i searched though Yandex image finder)

Saw somewhere in Russian media maybe two days ago that Zelensky announced working on his book that will consist of his 'most important' speeches. If I'm not mistaken, it's going to be published by the end of this year and in several languages.

Zelenski is spelled with a "E" (hard "e", as in English pronunciation of his surname) and not with a "Є" (ye) as on the photo. In Russian his surname is pronounced softly with "ye" and in Ukrainian with "e".
One comment on telegram was, that there is a book with this look, but the original title was "Month of war".
But I am also not sure about that.

Edit: I just cheked it, that is also not true....

How easy it is to fake such things :(
