Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

The first part of Alex Christoforou video is essentially about how this war is just about money. We understand the expression "war is business". It is incredible. The video talks about other things also for example the propaganda. And there is also humour because Alex can laugh about all of this.

Alex Christoforou is really good. His companion also, that makes the team Duran Duran.

If you listen to him while taking your morning coffee you will wake up yes or yes.😊

Excellent video @loreta. Alex Christoforou lays the whole scenario out very well and cuts through all of the lies and propaganda in a measurable and factual argument, leading to one inevitable conclusion; The west is on the way out.

From South Front:
SOUTH OF UKRAINE EXPECTS MILITARY SHOCKS – FIRST INTERVIEW OF RUSSIAN TOP COMMANDER AMID APPEAL FROM REGIONAL GOVERNOR
Russian Army General Sergey Surovikin, who has recently become the Commander of the Russian Military Operation, gave an interview to the Russian media speaking on the current state of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
Then analysis of how he is different from previous leaders:
Surovikin’s speech deserves the closest attention.

First, the Russian four-star general has shown his ability and clear intention to communicate with Russian citizens directly, honestly and without morbid hurrah-patriotism. His appeal is radically different from what the world has heard from the Russian Ministry of Defense from the beginning of this conflict.

Second
, Russian Commander made several landmark statements that allow us to put flesh on how the Ukrainian conflict would develop in in the weeks ahead. Surovikin confirmed that Russia still believes that it is at the war with the criminal neocolonial regime of “Zelensky” , which de-facto is no more than the US-NATO occupation authorities . Surovikin declared that the task of the Russian Army is to liberate the fraternal Ukrainian people (Ukrainians, not Galicians). Further, he honestly described the situation on the fronts as very tense. In the second part of his interview, he made it clear that in case of military necessity and in order to save the lives of Russian soldiers and local civilians, he would undertake any necessary measures and means in accordance with the operational and tactical situation on the front. This means that the Russian command expects and is ready for any development of the situation, up to and including tactical retreat and heavy urban fighting.

Third, the next acute phase of the conflict, that is, a massive offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krivoy Rog-Mykolaiv direction should be expected in the upcoming days.
The interview:
Good afternoon Sergey Vladimirovich! By the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, you have been appointed commander of joint forces in the area of a special military operation. Many Russian citizens are concerned about the question of what is the situation today?

In general, the situation in the zone of the special military operation can be described as tense.

The enemy does not give up on trying to attack the positions of Russian troops. First of all, this concerns the Kupyansk, Krasnolimansky and Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog directions. Our enemy is a criminal regime that pushes the citizens of Ukraine to death. We are one people with Ukrainians and we wish that Ukraine is a state independent from the West and NATO, friendly to Russia.

The Ukrainian regime is trying to break through our defenses. To do this, the AFU are pulling up all available reserves to the front lines. These are mainly forces of the territorial defense who have not completed a full course of training.

In fact, the Ukrainian leadership is condemning them to destruction. As a rule, such units have low morale. To prevent their fleeing from the front line, the Kiev’s criminal regime uses nationalist units that shoot everyone who tries to leave the battlefield.

Every day the enemy’s losses amount to hundreds of people killed and wounded.

We have a different strategy. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief has already spoken about this. We do not strive for high rates of advancement, we take care of every soldier and methodically “grind” the advancing enemy. This not only minimizes our losses, but also significantly reduces the number of civilian casualties.

Currently, the Joint Group of Troops is taking measures to increase the fighting strength of formations and military units, create additional reserves, equip defensive lines and positions along the entire line of contact.

Strikes with precision weapons against military and infrastructure facilities affecting the combat capability of Ukrainian troops continue.

Sergey Vladimirovich, in addition to the fact that you have been appointed commander of joint forces in the special operation zone, you remain Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces. How would you characterize the effectiveness of Russian aviation and air defense forces?

The special military operation has confirmed the effectiveness of the aviation complexes and air defense systems we have in service.

During the operation, the crews of tactical, army and long-range aviation carried out more than 34 thousand sorties. They have used more than seven thousand guided aircraft weapons. The newest hypersonic aviation missiles Kinzhal (Dagger) have proven themselves well in hitting targets. None of the enemy’s air defense systems could intercept this missile. Strategic air-launched cruise missiles also showed the highest accuracy.

In terms of the quality of combat use, I would especially like to mention the Su-57 multifunctional fifth-generation aircraft. Having a wide range of weapons in service, it solves the multifaceted tasks of defeating air and ground targets in each sortie.

More than 8 thousand sorties have been carried out by unmanned aircraft, and more than 600 objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been destroyed by strike drones.

A few days ago, the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced that the authorities decided to provide residents of the region with the possibility to go to other regions of the Russian Federation for recreation or study. First of all, this concerns the right bank of the Dnieper River. The head of the region said that these measures were taken to ensure the safety of citizens amid the increased shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. How can you comment on this decision?

A difficult situation has developed in this direction. The enemy purposefully strikes at infrastructure facilities and residential buildings in Kherson. The Antonovsky Bridge and the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station were damaged by HIMARS missiles, traffic there was stopped.

As a result, the delivery of food is difficult in the city, there are certain problems with water and electricity supply. All this significantly complicates the life of citizens, but also creates a direct threat to their lives.

The NATO leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has long demanded offensive operations on the Kherson direction from the Kiev regime, regardless of any victims – both in the Armed Forces themselves and among the civilian population.

We have data on the possibility of the Kiev regime using prohibited methods of war in the area of the city of Kherson, on the preparation by Kiev of a massive missile strike on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam, the infliction of a massive rocket and artillery strikes on the city indiscriminately.

These actions can lead to the destruction of the infrastructure of a large industrial center and civilian casualties.

In these conditions, our top priority is to preserve the lives and health of civilians. Therefore, first of all, the Russian army will ensure the safe, already announced departure of the population according to the resettlement program being prepared by the Russian Government.

Our further plans and actions regarding the city of Kherson itself will depend on the current military-tactical situation. I repeat, it is already very difficult today.

In any case, as I have already said, we will proceed from the need to preserve the lives of civilians and our military personnel as much as possible.

We will act consciously, in a timely manner, not excluding the adoption of difficult decisions.
In one Tweet, there was a quote from the above interview and a happy birthday poster, as he is known as Armageddon, since the bombing of UA military relevant infrastructure began the day he took office:

About those drones:

Moscow comments on alleged military use of Iranian drones
All weapons used by troops have Russian designations, Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov has said, reiterating a denial of reports that Moscow was using Iranian-supplied drones against Kiev.

“No, we have no such information. Russian hardware is being used. You know it well. It has Russian designations. All further questions can be addressed to the Defense Ministry,” Peskov said on Tuesday.

American and Ukrainian officials have claimed on many occasions that Russia received various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) from Iran and was using them in the conflict with Ukraine.

On Monday, multiple drones were spotted flying over the Ukrainian capital Kiev, with troops desperately trying to shoot them down with small arms, according to videos from the scene.

At least one “kamikaze drone” was reportedly hit and crashed into an apartment block, setting off a deadly explosion. A soldier interviewed by Ukrainian television claimed that he was among those who managed to divert the aircraft off its course with gunfire, adding that he later helped rescue people from under the rubble at the crash site.

Russia, China, the US and Germany
Pepe Escobar posted on his TG yesterday:
THE BIG PICTURE

We have to keep comin’ back to the same Big Picture point.

Both the Russian & the Chinese leaderships - from Putin and Patrushev to the new Politburo - deeply understand that the fate & inalienable sovereignty of Russia and China are joined at the hip for at least the next 3 generations.

The challenges will be immense. They will have to tackle a - shared - existential danger, coming from a rabid, cornered, decaying and extremely destructive Hegemon.

This means that all past divergences between Moscow and Beijing must really be put aside. Putin and Xi, for all their faults, are thinking statesmen - and very much aware of it. And so is the Russian and Chinese leaderships.

In a rational world, Russia would have kept her Europeans “partners" and Europeans would keep getting the engine of their prosperity for these past few decades: cheap Russian gas.

Credit Suisse’s Zoltan Posnar famously calculated that $20 billion in Russian gas were transformed into $2 trillion in manufactured goods. A whopping leverage by a factor of 100.

Imagine a Germany-Russia-China trade alliance.

That remains the TOTAL, ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE for the Kakistocratic Anglo-American combo.

And that explains where we are now.
Regarding "TOTAL, ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE" because in Zbigniew Brzezinski, in his "The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives" from 1997 wrote that about China and Russia:
Potentially, the most dangerous scenario would be a grand coalition of China, Russia, and perhaps Iran, an "antihegemonic" coalition united not by ideology but by complementary grievances. It would be reminiscent in scale and scope of the challenge once posed by the Sino-Soviet bloc, though this time China would likely be the leader and Russia the follower. Averting this contingency, however remote it may be, will require a display of U.S. geostrategic skill on the western, eastern, and southern perimeters of Eurasia simultaneously.
George Friedman in The Next Decade: Empire and Republic in a Changing World from 2010 wrote about Russia and Germany:
The danger of Russia’s reemergence and westward focus will become more obvious as we examine the other player in this second region of concern, the European Union. Once imagined as a supernation on the order of the United States, the EU began to show its structural weaknesses during the financial crisis of 2008, which led to the follow-on crisis of southern European economies (Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece). Once Germany, the EU’s greatest economic engine, faced the prospect of underwriting the mistakes and excesses of its EU partners, it began to reexamine its priorities. The emerging conclusion is that Germany potentially shared a greater community of interest with Russia than it did with its European neighbors. However much Germany might benefit from economic alliances in Europe, it remains dependent on Russia for a large amount of its natural gas. Russia in turn needs technology, which Germany has in abundance. Similarly, Germany needs an infusion of manpower that isn’t going to create social stresses by emigration to Germany, and one obvious solution is to establish German factories in Russia. Meanwhile, America’s request for increased German help in Afghanistan and elsewhere has created friction with the United States and aligned German interests most closely with Russia.

All of which helps to explain why the United States’ return to balance will require a significant effort over the next decade to block an accommodation between Germany and Russia. As we will see, the U.S. approach will include cultivating a new relationship with Poland, the geographic monkey wrench that can be thrown into the gears of a German-Russian entente.
Ukraine was not mentioned above, though it is mentioned elsewhere in the book. In reality, we have seen besides Poland, a few other willing to help bring the US policy along, including Britain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway the Baltic States, and oddly enough even forces within Germany itself.

Martial law in the LPR, DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be introduced from October 20

Martial law in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be introduced from October 20. This follows from the relevant decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, published by the Kremlin's press service.

"To introduce martial law on October 20, 2022 from zero hours in the territories of the Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions," the document says.

The decree must be submitted for approval by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. It will enter into force from the date of its official publication.

On October 19, at a meeting of the Russian Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the introduction of martial law in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. In addition, the Russian leader instructed to create territorial defense headquarters in the regions, and to give the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation additional powers to ensure security.

And there is also news from 17.10. The Moscow authorities, as well as the authorities of the Moscow region announced the implementation of the partial mobilization plan and the termination of all actions on this topic

The article explains to us what is changing in the territories with martial law and with a special regime
MARTIAL LAW AND SPECIAL REGIME. THE NEW REALITY OF RUSSIA
During the meeting of the Russian Security Council, decisions were made on special regimes operating in the regions of the country. In addition, martial law is in effect in four new regions of the country. We tell you what is changing in our new reality.

Opening today's meeting of the Russian Security Council, President Vladimir Putin made a number of statements. All of them concern the state administration of the country in the conditions of the aggression of Ukraine. In each of the regions of Russia, a special regime for the safety of the population can now be introduced, and governors will be given expanded powers.

Martial law for four regions
Such a regime has been declared in the liberated territories. He acted before, but now it is necessary to "redraw" the rules in accordance with the laws of Russia:

In the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, before their entry into Russia, there was a martial law regime. And now we need to formalize this regime already within the framework of Russian legislation," the Russian president said. - Therefore, I have signed a decree on the introduction of martial law in these four subjects of the Russian Federation, it will be immediately sent to the Federation Council.

It is known that the decree will come into force from midnight. What does martial law mean, according to the legislation of our country? We will tell you about the points:

Organization of production of products and services for state needs.
Evacuation of economic, social and cultural facilities, as well as temporary relocation of residents to safe areas.
Introduction of a special regime of entry and exit to the territory, as well as restriction of freedom of movement on it.
Suspension of the activities of political parties and other public and religious associations that undermine defense and security.
Involvement of citizens in the performance of works for the needs of defense, elimination of the consequences of the use of weapons by the enemy, restoration of economic facilities.
Withdrawal of property necessary for the needs of defense from organizations and citizens with subsequent payment by the state of its value.
The introduction of military censorship in the field of communications, as well as control over telephone conversations.
A ban on citizens leaving the country.
We also add that elections of the president, State Duma deputies, senators and local self-government bodies are not held in the zone of martial law.

Powers of governors
To ensure security, the heads of the regions of Russia are endowed with special additional powers.

Powers are guaranteed to all local heads without exception.

In today's situation, I consider it necessary to give additional powers to the heads of all Russian regions," Vladimir Putin said. - The corresponding decree was signed today.

At the same time, tougher security measures may be taken in the regions bordering Ukraine in Russia.

Officials on the ground will do everything possible to ensure the safety of people. Thus, they will take measures to protect and ensure the anti-terrorist security of critical infrastructure facilities. Of course, they will maintain public order and solve other tasks.

Special modes. What is it
A special provision or an average level of response is being introduced in the Crimea, Krasnodar Krai, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions. This means that local governors have the right to take exceptional response measures to ensure the safety of the population. But such measures may not be taken. Among the measures that can be taken in the border regions is a special mode of operation of transport, communications, communications, energy facilities. In addition, the regime provides:

Temporary relocation of residents to safe areas.
Restriction of the movement of vehicles and their inspection.
Introduction and provision of a special regime for entry into and exit from the territory, as well as restriction of freedom of movement on it.
Strengthening the protection of public order and ensuring public safety, protection of military, important state and special facilities.
A serious response regime is now in effect in the Central and Southern Federal Districts of Russia. This means that, for example, in Moscow, the authorities have the right to introduce the WHO regime if necessary. However, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has already said that right now no measures limiting the normal rhythm of life of Muscovites will be introduced. But they will also fulfill all the tasks set by the President of Russia.

In all other regions, the basic regime is in effect - this is the simplest version of the special powers of the heads of subjects, which, nevertheless, means that extreme measures can be applied to protect the population.

It is important that the heads of the regions themselves make decisions on the ground, focusing on the situation. The full version of Vladimir Putin's speech, including a transcript of what was said, is available on the Kremlin's website.
