Putin's birthday

Apparently, New York wasn't the only place where "Putin the Peacemaker" made an appearance.

According to this post on Twitter, this is the house where Putin and his family lived in Dresden, when he stationed there between 1985-1990.

Soon after a massive banner appeared in the Big Apple calling Russian President a "peacemaker," similar signs have also popped up in Dresden and Moscow.

'Peacemaker Putin' Spotted in New York, Moscow, Dresden

First, "the peacemaker" banner with Putin depicted over the Russian and Syrian flags was seen for a while over the New York City Manhattan Bridge.

Then, mysterious graffiti was spotted in one German city: the portrait of Mr. President signed with the same "peacemaker" word appeared on a house wall, and not just any house, but the house Putin lived in in during the 1980s, while working in Dresden as an undercover head of the House of Friendship of the USSR and GDR.

And finally, some other unknown activists hung a banner featuring Putin in Moscow. The Russian President's photo on the Syrian flag with a slogan thanking Putin for peace was hung from the Krymsky Bridge (or the Crimean Bridge).

Was this some kind of "flashmob" thought up by some creative people around the world to congratulate Vladimir Putin on his 64th birthday. Or, was it an attempt to unofficially call him a better candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize 2016? For better or for worse, the organizers and their original idea remain unknown.

Da! I sent one as well. Happy Birthday, Sir Putin! :wizard:

Me too, I've just sent him a letter in English, a couple of days late. My goal is to sent one written in Russian next year! And I'll share the dearputin and other sott links on social media, as a gift too.

Quote from Laura
Great idea! It seems to me that it would be a very nice birthday gift to get out there and spread positive words about Putin on social media. I know from my own experience how dreadful it is to be flamed and defamed for years on end and my experience was only a drop in the ocean compared to what MSM is doing to him! Support and encouragement always help.

Yes, he must really feel like schooling in the desert. Well, that´s not even true seeing how grateful the desert reacts with just few drops of water.

It´s particularly striking and even aberrant the level of speech he must conform to during encounters with journalists of several countries, like in the part of his speech during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, in June 2016, where he says:

"Listen to me. We are all adult at this table, and experienced professionals at that. But I´m not even going to hope that you are going to relay everything, exactly how I said it, in your publications. Neither will you attempt to influence your media outlets."

"It´s only you that they tell tall tales and you spread it to the citizens of your countries. How can you not understand that the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction. I don´t know how to go through you anymore. What I do know is we will have to defend ourselves and I even know how they will package this ´Russian agression´again."

He must really be upset and weren´t it for his sense of humour and empathy, god knows where he would be today. I hope our words will also reach him and his familly and contribute to comfort him somewhat.

Ditto that. Putin's Universal intelligence is a God send to humanity. Viva La Putin. Vad.
Are Putin & Rex Tillerson friends?

https://youtu.be/68hHYIdn8d8?rel=0
The choice of Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State has been challenged in the US largely by his relationship with Vladimir Putin (friends for 15 years, a “close” relationship by Tillerson’s account). Despite the issues of US 'deep state' sanctions being forcibly imposed on the Russian Federation, it remains to be said that business interests continue in the best possible manner.

Happy Birthday to the coolest President!! :bacon: :cheer:  :headbanger:

Happy Birthday to one of the greatest living men of our generation, a true leader.

The other day I watched the fantastic documentary on Putin called 'President'. It's in Russian with English subtitles. I think everyone who wants to see what kind of person Putin is should watch it.

Happy Birthday President Putin! He is such a contrast to what we have in many countries around the world. Intelligent, understanding, principled, caring; and as Beau said, "One of the greatest living men of our generation, a true leader." Well-said, Beau!

He's a breath of fresh air in a poisonous atmosphere of psychopathic and pathological politicians.
