I just wanted to let you know I read your article on Thomas Sheridan. I am one of the administrators of a private FB group. Thomas used to be a member of our group. Our group is for survivors of abuse dealt by the hands of narcissists/sociopaths. There are many members that have been to and through hell, that are fragile, that are untrusting - all for good reasons. To make a long story short, we decided to delete Thomas from the group. We feel he is an incredible danger to victims of this kind of abuse - and further perpetuates that abuse with his grandiose, almost "I'm a God" like attitude, all built on some bs platform that he's there to "help." His idea of help reminds me of Ronald Reagan's quote, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Anyways, I just wanted to extend my appreciation for the article and I hope it will enlighten some of the victims I personally know that have been drawn away from real help and encouragement because they made the choice to follow this mad man instead. ♥ Thank You

wow... I was just about to write to Sheridan and ask him a few things about psychopaths and then I stumbled on this article/blog. I don't know what to think now. I have read a lot of Hare's literature and I respect him largely, but the thing I liked about Sheridan's writing is that it came from a personal point of view and stated so many identical issues shared with my own. I guess it can be said that he knows personally because he is likely a psychopath himself. Great, back to feeling alone and unsure of where now to turn. I am suffering with PTSD and I am frightened of seeing a psychologist in fear that I will explain everything to him/her and he/she won't believe me. I have signed up under the name ksm23 if you wish to read of my experiences with my ex. Although they do seem to be very text book of these types of people. I wish it was easy to 'get over' but it doesn't seem to be that easy.

I am surprised about your discovery on Sheridan but then again, I watched one of his videos on You Tube and I did notice that he ranted a bit and as he did his eyes and body language were erratic, intense and seemed to have a self fulfilled demeanor.... A little too intense for someone who protests himself to be a 'caring' person.

Anyway, I am writing a book regarding my ex relationship. I have decided to write as a third person and change names and some situations, only subtly though. It is all truth besides these changes.

I am a writer and have a degree in Journalism, so other than the constant reminders of the -shite- he put me through, I believe I am quite capable of writing this book in hope to help others realise and understand the depths that a sociopath/psychopath can affect a person.

Thanks again and I appreciated your article on Thomas Sheridan. I am glad I read this before reading more of his work.

I run a support group for victims of psychopaths, Thomas Sheridan was a co-moderaor before I wised up and threw him off, my group is now coming under attck from him and a group called Afterwrath, made up mainly of women I threw off my group. He has just mailed this to me ! L T asked me to send it to you !

I am already talking to a documentary team about a film about the current events. An awarding winning Hollywood director is already on board and he thinks this story has it all. Would you be interested at some point going on camera and debating me? Explaining in detail about how I tortured the women on your board and how me writing comedy material in the 90's means I am a "psychopath" and a "madman"? How does the NHS stand on this?

This will go straight to mainstream media. You would get a lot of exposure for you and your group. Let me know, as I really think as many people as possible need to hear and see this. This is a very exciting project. I would really like to work with you again as so many of my staunchest supporters came from your group and have been informing me of you many, many strong comments about me on-line. None of them can recall being subjected to abuse by me. So a documentary about the whole episode would allow you to prove this. Surely you have lots of PMs and so forth of me abusing the women. Be great if you could start compliing them for the rearchers now. Get back to me soon so I can put you in touch with the research team.

Yes it is full of the nuerolinguistical nonsense his type purvey and so it should be up for debate for that reason alone. I would prefer to keep my name out of it, I am ignoring him as his accusations are those of a madman and well, we have all had enough of that.

Given his recent strange behavior in deleting the Sheridan article from his FB group, I wouldn't be surprised if they were in contact and engaging in an exchange of narcissistic bullshit with each other.

We have a member in the group who was involved with the same S'path as L, she wanted to tell L and I feel the validation would have been pivitol to her healing process, I am telling you this so you get an understanding of how this man operates among victims.

This person confided this information to Thomas and Thomas told her NOT to tell L, he also told this person that L had a strong family network of support, of course this was not true, she is very much alone but Thomas wanted to keep her vulnerable, he mentioned her vulnerability to me several times when he was moderating with us, almost like he wanted me to confirm how vulnerable she was. He just wanted her to stay a victim rather than a survivor. All highly disturbing stuff as she is besotted with him and he keeps her that way, I am seriously worried about what may happen to her if the penny ever drops. Sheridan is a man who should be kept as far away from vulnerable women as humanly possible! a very dangerous specimen indeed!

BTW I am a psychiatric nurse of more than 30 years. Not that it makes me an expert in this field as I do not believe any of us are.

Plus I should also say that email to me from Sheridan was in response to me posting a link to your article and there is no mention in the thread of him abusing or torturing women in the group at all, that is purely his own paranoid stance on the fact he has been exposed, you are welcome to come into the group and see the threads for yourself.
