We have recently been researching this technique a bit, and some of us have been trying it with a local practitioner. It's still too early to tell, but for some, the results so far are quite promising.

Now, this may be mostly for French and Spanish speakers (Spain and France using this technique more than other countries), but I recommend that those of you in the rest of Europe see if you can find it locally. It seems to be very little known in the rest of the world.

The protocol done by professionals is not just with the Quinton water. The injections include Magnesium, all the B vitamins, and Magnesium. Other protocols include salicylic acid, pentoxyfiline, sulphur, etc. depending on the condition. But the easiest way of administration is orally, and it can be taken for a variety of issues (see PDF attached).

For an overview: http://www.equilibrauk.com/Original_Quinton_Marine_Plasma.htm
René Quinton (1866-1925) pictured on the left was not the first person to recognise the healing properties inherent within the Sea. However it was his quest to find answers about the origins of life on earth that led him to make one of the most important discoveries in medicine.

He found that deep within the centre of seasonal vortex plankton blooms off the coast of France the seawater (later described as Quinton Plasma) was unlike normal seawater but had a "live" bioactive mineral content due to secretions by the plankton. During his study of this Quinton Plasma, Quinton as a renowned Doctor, Biologist, Biochemist and Physiologist René observed that it had remarkable similarities to blood plasma.

He carried out a string of experiments on dogs in which he drained their blood and replaced it with the Quinton Plasma. Not only did the dogs survive but they recovered to a higher state of health than before the experiments. In 1912 René Quinton wrote his definitive book on the subject entitled "L’eau de mer milieu organique" which was later re-printed in 1995.

When René Quinton died in 1925 as a result of the aftermath of wounds received during WW1 he was a French national hero. People flocked to his funeral from all over the world in recognition of his work and the gift he left behind in Quinton Marine Plasma.

The volume of information on the science and clinical application of Quinton Marine Plasma (QMP) is formidable. So why have we not heard about it before now? Unfortunately most of it remains written in the French and Spanish languages although it is currently being translated into English.

During the 1970’s QMP, already in continuous use since 1904, was perceived as a menace to the rapidly expanding pharmaceutical industry. After all, QMP was considered so effective for a wide range of common afflictions that its cost was reclaimable under two French government health programs. But, through legislative influence, a law was passed that halted the widespread use of QMP throughout Europe. This law required that all injectable medicines be heat sterilized. The pharmaceutical industry knew well that one of the foundations of the efficacy of QMP was the very fact that the delicate composition of this fluid was never subjected to heat – a scientific truth well documented by Rene’ Quinton over 70 years before.

The remnants of this purge of René Quinton’s medical science and method can still be witnessed today in France. One would think that such a scientific legacy would be preserved at all cost for future generations. Not true! It is a frightening fact, as one documentary filmmaker put it, to realize that books and resource materials on René Quinton and his scientific contributions are virtually non-existent in the libraries and institutions of learning in France (or anywhere else!). It is commonly believed they were systematically eliminated as part of the plan to replace his marvelously safe and effective treatment with pharmaceutical drugs.

[...] Original Quinton products are very different from regular seawater due to plankton secretions where it is collected from within the vortex plankton blooms. Quinton products contain not only minerals in almost the exact proportions as found in blood plasma but also anti-oxidants, RNA, and amino acids. Quinton described this marine plasma as "the origin of life". Experiments to dehydrate the Quinton plasma and reconstitute it with distilled water have not been able to reproduce the results obtained using the original product. This demonstrates the uniqueness of Quinton Plasma that separates it from copycat products based on seawater alone. Once collected, Quinton plasma is cold micro-filtered to preserve the living aspect of the minerals etc. It is stored in 10ml glass ampoules for the same reason.

Structured water?

Anyway, this is just to get the discussion going. Gaby knows a lot more by now. And there are a lot of possible applications to research.

I've had two treatments, the first one mild with just a couple rounds of injections up and down along the spine where my herniated disc is. After a two day period of super tiredness from detox, I felt remarkably better.

Second treatment: I had the slow drip where 12 tiny needles were inserted up and down the sides of my spine and a cocktail was dripped in over an hour. Really swelled up from a half liter of liquid. That was last Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, felt pretty awful. Not only was I having detox symptoms, I could feel that something was moving in my spine and I was getting all kinds of shooting nerve things in BOTH legs, not just the left one which has been most affected by the squashed disc.

Now, it is Monday and I realized something this afternoon: my back hasn't hurt all day. And my back has hurt continuously, to one degree or another, for the past 40 years.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the next treatment.

From what I understand, the stuff in the drip was: saline solution, Vit Bs, Magnesium, xylocaine, EDTA, salicylic acid and maybe something else I don't remember.

I've got an MRI of my disc, so you can be sure that after this course of treatments, I'll get another for comparison.

Although it is very easy to get Quinton water to drink or even to nebulize (lung diseases), unfortunately its parenteral use (intravenous or subcutaneous or even intramuscular) among health care providers or practitioners is restricted to a few countries. I think it is mostly because it is unknown in the rest of the world.

Here's some photographic cases that the original René Quinton published back in the day (starting at 2:39):

Pretty amazing, eh?

Rene Quinton's original book (1912) is available here:

L'eau de mer milieu organique; constance du milieu originel, comme milieu vital des cellules, a travers la série animale : Quinton, René, 1866-1925 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

I watched some 4-6 hours of youtube videos in preparation for my certification in this technique and the results that some people are getting are pretty amazing. There are videos of seminars where people give their testimonials. There was a woman who was in morphine due to a couple of fractured vertebra from osteoporosis, and she got off from her pain medication with just two sessions. Some testimonials are supported by MRIs and X-rays evidence, showing how inflammatory calcification disappeared or how herniated discs "popped back in" into the vertebral column. They are also using amino acids to help repair DNA. In the links Chu provided above, there is published research as well (in French). It is not a panacea though. In hip arthrosis, they get partial results in 50% of the cases at the most. Still, not that bad at all.

Most of these therapies are available in the U.S. through the intravenous route, although it seems that there is something very healing about providing water + nutrients locally via the subcutaneous route. The later is easier, cheaper and more practical as well. I've seen how effective is the subcutaneous route in palliative care: maintains hydration, relieves pain and agony, avoids the intravenous route and thus, the person can stay home with loved ones.

There's the mesotherapy technique where a subcutaneous infusion of something specific is used. The French (Société Internationale d'Hydrotomie Percutanée) started popularizing the introduction of water as a "vehicle" or "cushion" to make the delivery of nutrients more bio-available. They have specific protocols, and they train practitioners (doctors and nurses) on how to do the various techniques depending on the affliction or disease. In some videos, you can see how they inject first water with a local anesthetic, then they deliver EDTA and/or B vitamins + C vitamins + minerals, etc. Sometimes they finish with a third injection, pentoxifylline, to improve the delivery of everything throughout the local tissue. There are limits of what you can use via the subcutaneous route and also limits of what you can mix though.

As far as I understand, mainstream providers are not using Quinton water for parenteral use because it is still not widely available for injection. Sterilizing Quinton plasma for parenteral use removes its special properties. I've read that some labs got a way around it and/or that they were working on a solution, but it seems that most practitioners still prefer saline solution just in case and until Quinton plasma is widely available for parenteral use. Still, the original René Quinton used the intravenous route to get the results of the pictures in the video above.

Nowadays Quinton plasma comes from the Northern seas. They dig it out from 30 meters deep where there are vortices. This means that it is probably structured water and I'm betting this is why it is so healing. The body loves structured water!

In Spain, the owner of the local organic shop still remembers Quinton water from the old days when it used to be very popular to drink it. Hopefully, if it is helpful as it was in the past, it will get popularized again.

And as far as "percutanous hydrotomy", it might be worth checking it out if feasible. Although not without troubleshooting (and Herx reactions), the results seem pretty amazing. At least in one study of around 30 people, most of them went from an average EVA scale of 7-8 to one of 1-3 (pain scale, 10 being maximum pain).

How interesting. I remember that I edited some articles (in French and also in Spanish) because I saw a little video about how to drink marine water, water from the ocean. Here I saw also bottles to drink in some stores. I know also some people that drink the water of the ocean, cook with it. This is different from the injections, I know, but maybe it is also very good to cure.

Thank you for sharing this discovery, I heard of Quinton several times but it was just a word I heard till now. Really interesting and promising! That little video presentation was quite telling, he was really reputed at the time. The disappearance of his work made me think about Dr. Hamer too.

I was wondering which technique was that (mesotherapy ?), and was the saline solution containing Quinton Plasma? Gaby said :

On the website they talk about three different techniques: Mesoinfusion, mesovaccination and mesochelation, since there was EDTA, it seems to be mesochelation followed by mesofinfusion?

I'll put the descriptions here
Mesochelation - International Association of Percutaneous Hydrotomy
MESOCHELATION

Mesochelation is the technique of percutaneous hydrotomy coupled with the use of EDTA (ethyl diamine tetra acetic acid) following a well-established protocol (meso-dilution). In a degenerative condition such as arthritis, percutaneous hydrotomy and meso-chelation may have a combined action on the etio-physiopathological process, namely:

- Injectable local osteo-articular hydration, targeted at the degenerative lesion. In the future, the validated use of trace elements or seawater will be of real benefit to the practitioner

- Mesochelation, by its qualities, permits locoregional “detoxification” of heavy metals and calcium, which constitutes a serious problem in arthritic articulation, producing especially destructive articular mechanical stresses. Arthritis appears to be caused by a calcium distribution disorder within the bones, leading, on the one hand to osteoporosis inside the bone and, on the other, to marginal peripheral osteophytosis with radiological osteo-condensation (see diagrams of lumbar arthritis and arthritis of the knee) (bony spines).

- The microcirculation can also play an important part in disrupting the degenerative process. Its local deficiency lies at the root of the underlying pathological state. E.g. In arthritis of the internal compartment of the knee, patients are often observed to have large varicose veins with a history of phlebitis against a background of obesity.
Thus, hydrotomy and meso-chelation will be the new techniques that may improve a certain number of compressive degenerative conditions (arthritis) by locally initiating various essential processes: microcirculation, hydration, nutrition and detoxification.

INDICATIONS:

- Degenerative arthritis of mechanical origin, lumbago, discopathy, calcifying periarthritis of the shoulder (see work by Dalloz-Bourguignon)
- Myelo-cervical arthritis (by reduced width of the spinal canal)
- Cervico-brachial neuralgia, sciatica, radiculalgia
- Migraines, Arnold's neuralgia
- Narrow lumbar canal (see meso-infusion)
- Tendinitis with calcifying peripheral hyperostosis (e.g. tennis elbow)
- Articular chondrocalcinosis (knee)
- Inflammatory exostoses (trochanteritis)
- After-effects of chronic illnesses of the locomotor apparatus

Mesoinfusion - International Association of Percutaneous Hydrotomy
MESOINFUSION

Mesoinfusion makes use of the meso-infusion kit developed by Doctor Bernard GUEZ. It could become the infusion of the third millennium by subcutaneous access, frequently replacing classical intravenous infusion. (See Future Prospects: Medical Research into Hydrotomy).

Therapeutic advantages

Mesoinfusion primarily uses local or locoregional access and allows immediate and direct action in situ on the lesion zone with no deterioration of the active principles of medicines and metabolites, avoiding liver and kidney overload or a certain gastric, neurological or myocardial toxicity of certain products. Here, the first filtration layer is the skin, with the lesion in the foreground.
On the technical level, note should be taken of the “practical” aspects of meso-infusion (no looking for veins), easy removal that can be carried out by the patient’s family or friends. It allows us to, as-it-were, amplify the percutaneous hydrotomy procedure in time, making it more effective in complicated pathologies. It may establish a future method for varied or specialised pathologies: hydration of the elderly, narrowed spinal canal, postoperative fibrosis, progressive arthritis with vertebral compression, vascular degeneration, shingles, renal insufficiency, Crohn’s disease, colonic disease, major burns, cosmetic medicine (cellulite), etc.

See 'Mesokit Perfuseur' technical presentation

Mesovaccination - International Association of Percutaneous Hydrotomy
MESOVACCINATION

The majority of inflammatory or infectious and recurrent conditions stem from an imbalance of the immune system (DYSIMMUNITY). The ear, nose, throat, digestive, or intestinal mucous membrane becomes hypersensitive and hyperactive, leading to chronic inflammation with reactive mode (hypersecretion, oedema, pain, spasms…)
The technique consists of stimulating the immuno-incompetent mucous membrane in a controlled and systematised manner, and in such a way that its function is restarted by stimulating its immune defences with small quantities of non-specific vaccines for cellular mediation, and by regenerating it with vitamins and trace elements (vitamin B5, sulphur, manganese-copper-cobalt, and zinc-nickel).
Thus, in the course of treatment sessions, the mucous membrane can acquire a new immunological competence and a regenerated state that allows it to reactivate its self-regulation mechanisms; it can acquire a new immunity close to that of a normal subject, following sufficient immune retraining.

INDICATIONS :
- Treatment of rhinitis-type allergies, rhinosinusitis, recurrent sore throats, asthma, bronchitis, gastritis, colitis or functional colonic disease.

TREATMENT :
In France, the disappearance of the RIBOMUNYL vaccine is a serious loss for patients. The studies carried out used the form given subcutaneously on the arm, whereas its preferred therapeutic location is situated around the ear, nose, throat and respiratory areas; thus it was too far removed from its site of action to be effective. (Is it supposed not to have proved its effectiveness?)
We must remember that tens of thousands of practitioners have used it for more than 25 years in mesotherapy for its strictly local effect, with very great patient satisfaction.

On the French website though, Produits ┃ Société Internationale d'Hydrotomie Percutanée, there is no mention of Quinton Plasma at all. Does that mean there is no authorization at all?

I found this here, Historique et concepts actuels ┃ Société Internationale d'Hydrotomie Percutanée:
ATTENTION: Quinton Plasma has been used for several decades during the last century with excellent results according to our work.
Currently, it no longer has a Marketing Authorization (MA) for use in Percutaneous Hydrotomy in France (its use, therefore, remains the sole responsibility of the practitioner). It is a food supplement that is no longer part of our medico-legal pharmacopeia, other equally effective alternatives are taught during training courses.

That's another Where's Wally? to find the one practitionner doing Percutaneous Hydrotomy with Quinton Plasma it seems. It's good that it can be taken in different forms though, that will be easier to get!

For those who do not know this wonderful technique, I can testify to its effectiveness. My mother practiced it for months and months for osteoarthritis problems, for the back and spine. Seeing the x-rays a few months later, the doctor could not understand how osteoarthritis could have disappeared.

Another example is my sister's. She woke up one morning with facial paralysis on the left side. Those who know this problem know that it can take months or years to recover, if we ever recover. Using Quinton, she recovered 80% of her facial palsy in 15 days and the rest improved over time by continuing the injections (Of course, it remains to know what triggered the problem ...). In hindsight, knowing that she waited for the first 5 days without being able to do anything, I think that, treated immediately, her face would have recovered its total mobility much more quickly.

I think that the properties of plasma can go well beyond the treatments applied to the osteo-articular problems: many health problems can benefit from the Quinton technique and its effectiveness is not limited to the simple addition of the mineral salts contained in the sea water, , and here a maxim seems to apply perfectly : "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. "

Putting the Quinton water/"percutaneous hydrotomy" ideas together with chiropractic ideas, it seems to me that hydrating and detoxing and restoring the spinal column might lead to a resolution of all kinds of problems that may be caused by subluxations and/or pinched nerves that feed the body's systems.

For example, years ago when I visited a certain chiropractor regularly, he would occasionally say "oh, you have stomach problems" because a particular vertebra was "out". And he was invariably correct. Just imagine how many issues might relate to a spinal misalignment? I know that certain of my systems have certainly suffered from this mashed disc between L5-S1 and I'm keeping an eye on possible changes there as nerves are freed up.

It is based on Quinton plasma concepts, only that they're using saline solution instead due to restrictions of acceptable quality Quinton plasma for parenteral use (intravenous, subcutaneous). There's a risk of infection if there is no guarantee that the water is fit for parenteral use. As the water is delivered directly underneath your skin, it bypasses the stomach/oral route which neutralizes bacteria before it is absorbed into the bloodstream. Practitioners are very picky about what they inject into people and prefer the reassurance that the substance conforms to regulations for parenteral use. Quinton herx reactions include fever and local inflammation, it is hard to differentiate a Herx reaction from a local infection due to contamination.

They were working on a solution in conjunction with Quinton's official lab to get their permissions for parenteral use, but as of today, practitioners still use saline solution instead to abide by the pharmaceutical laws and to stay on the safe side. Quinton plasma labs lost their parenteral use license years ago, which means that practitioners in this field started using Quinton plasma and later changed to saline solution when the restrictions were set in place. I don't know the details of what happened, but some labs are actively working to get all the paperwork and quality control on track to abide by normative regulations. A lab in Quebec claims that their Quinton plasma is fit for parenteral use, but as far as I know, the EU practitioners where the percutaneous hydrotomy practice is more popular, don't use it and/or prefer to abide to EU labs in their practice.

Even when they use saline solution, they're still having the results they're getting: arthrosis healing, etc. They're using nutrients, EDTA, minerals, amino acids, etc. AND water as a local delivery of these nutrients and medicines. Since they're still getting results, then they're staying on the safe side with sterilized saline solution. Hopefully we'll find out soon enough that Quinton plasma is good to go for parenteral use in the near future though.

Other than pentoxifylline, they use low doses of aspirin to create the vasodilation and greater permeability effect in the local area injected.

Put together, it reminds me of an "Integrated CranioSacral Biodynamics & Thanatology" workshop that I did a while ago, with the emphasis made on the importance of the cerebrospinal fluid circulation. Also, a big question mark remained unanswered regarding the whole array of functions that the CSF has. It seems like it is not well known. She gave books recommendations too, the works of James L. Oschman Ph.D, with his book "Energy Medicine in Therapeutics and Human Performance" and "The Body Electric: Electromagnetism And The Foundation Of Life" by Robert Becker and Gary Selden. I cannot comment on those though some has been said on the forum.

I found an interesting article here: Mostly Ocean: A New Wave of Interest Quinton's Marine Therapy, some extracts :

"The whole idea of the ocean having therapeutic properties was nothing new to me. As an osteopath, I treat the fluid system of the body, particularly the fluid system within the CNS and the spinal column, which is like a little ocean inside the body," said Harry Friedman, DO, in an interview with Holistic Primary Care.

Dr. Friedman, co-founder of the San Francisco International Manual Medicine Society (www.sfimms.com), is one of a growing number of American clinicians using Quinton Plasma with his patients. He believes that, among other things, the substance has direct effects on what osteopaths call the primary respiration, the ebb-and-flow movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal column.

Primary respiration was initially described by William Garner Sutherland, DO (1873–1954), an early student of osteopathy's founder, A. T. Still. In 1899, Sutherland discovered that the central nervous trunk moves. He described an "inhalation phase," a shortening of the cranial-caudal length, and an "exhalation" in which the spinal column returns to its maximal length. The process is rhythmic and pulsatile, creating palpable movements of the cerebrospinal fluid. Sutherland's ideas form the basis of craniosacral therapy, a modality popularized in the 1970s by John E. Upledger, DO.

Dr. Friedman said that, after he first tried a 10 ml vial of Quinton, "It made me feel a lot like I do after someone treats me. I'd never experienced anything that has that effect, other than an osteopathic craniosacral treatment. It was almost as if the plasma was replicating the treatments that we do."

Primary Respiration: Slow is Good
Normally, in day-to-day states of busy consciousness, the ebb and flow of the CNS fluid runs at 6–12 cycles per minute. In states of deeper relaxation, as following a craniosacral therapy session, this primary respiration slows down to around 2–3 cycles per minute. Quinton Plasma seemed to induce this.

"Slow is good," says Dr. Friedman. People who meditate a lot or work with brainwave biofeedback can induce theta brainwave states, and this typically slows down the primary respiration to the 2–3 cycle range. It is analogous to the sympathetic-parasympathetic shift one can measure with heart rate variability when someone goes from agitation to relaxation. "Quinton does seem to have a direct effect on the biorhythm of fluid systems in the body."

How, is another question, Dr. Friedman admitted. It may be, in part, a mineral effect. Quinton Plasma actually contains all essential minerals and trace elements, something Quinton himself surmised but could not measure at the time. "I think of it as a little bit of the Mother Fluid. From a biological perspective, the ocean is the foundation of life. The whole system of life came from the ocean, and I think that at some level, our bodies recognize that."

Dr. Friedman has used Quinton with many patients, suffering from a range of different conditions. Perhaps the most dramatic response was in a woman with steroid-dependent disfiguring rheumatoid arthritis. Quinton, 40 ml hypertonic daily, helped to the point where she was able to travel, to teach, and often without needing steroid injections. "It seems to have an anti-inflammatory effect." For the most part, though, he recommends it for general health maintenance, and as an adjunct to manual and nutritional therapies.

I venture to see a connection between cerebrospinal fluid and Quinton Plasma, beyond similarity with blood plasma.

I've been trying this treatment as well for my chronic hives (idiopathic uticaria), which I've had every day since the beginning of December of last year. I've posted about it starting here. As mentioned, there's really not a whole lot available in English on the Quinton treatments, but I used the Oceanplasma website, which overlaps with the pdf that Chu provided. It provides some basic instructions and dosages for different conditions. It's useful to read through because there are some contraindications and additional measures that are important. I also got my 'isotonic plasma' from their retail shop, and I'm pretty sure it is the same lab that Gaby mentioned since they state there is no pyrogenic or pathogenic substances found in the test reports they have done.

There isn't any place I can go in the US for this treatment, but I do have a trusted friend who is able and willing to do the injections. The first interesting thing is that when I had the first treatment I had also just gotten poison ivy as well, to which I'm severely allergic. When I get it I can feel it internally and it spreads very badly. After getting the treatment, I only had it for one full day. That has never happened for me. I took loads of vitamin C as well, and I'm thinking it may have had a synergistic effect with the ocean plasma.

For my first treatment I had subcutaneous injections along my spine with very tiny needles used for insulin. It's a light prick in the skin and it wasn't at all bad. I used isotonic seawater (which is cold filtered sea water diluted with mineral water, not distilled water). The other form of 'ocean plasma' is the hypertonic seawater, which isn't diluted. There are some contraindications for skin issues, so I need to use the diluted form and do smaller amounts. The subcutaneous injections can only be done in small amounts for each shot. So there were a high number of injections. I didn't feel any stinging or anything like that (aside from the mild pinch from the needle). This option seems ideal over others. The website mentions that subcutaneous, intravenous, or intramuscular injections can be done. It can also be taken orally. A few hours after the first treatment I did feel a bit dizzy and feverish for about an hour or two. I do a 20 ml treatment every other day and just had my third treatment last night. So far, I do experience waves of fairly strong fatigue, even on the days I don't have a treatment.

After the first treatment, I wanted to try an intramuscular injection, since that only required two shots. My work schedule has been pretty busy, so there wasn't much time for for the subcutaneous injections. I was warned it could be painful. About four hours after the first intramuscular shots, I did feel a bit of soreness. The pain itself was about a 4 out of 10 with 10 being the worst, however it was constant so that made it about a 6. The following day the pain from the injection was gone. Other than that, I didn't feel any burning or stinging from the injected fluid. That said, I'd like to do the subcutaneous injections whenever possible.

I had a second set of injections in the same locations last night, and I don't feel much of any pain today. I wanted to try it in the evening because the ocean plasma is only in your system for about 12 hours. The cycle for my hives is connected to my sleep, so I wanted it to be in my system to directly work with whatever disruption that is present. I've seen warnings that taking it too late can cause insomnia. And sure enough, it did! I also didn't take any of my medication/anti-histamines last night because I wanted the ocean plasma to work directly with my body's healing systems without my nervous system being depressed. I was somewhat uneasy about doing this because I had to go off the anti-histamines for a six day period before visiting my allergist several months ago, and it was pure torture. I'm sure that going off the anti-histamines also contributed to my body being unable to sleep. I was also nervous that not having good sleep would contribute to a bad break out in the morning, since poor sleep and even waking up in the middle of the night causes a bad breakout. In any case, I'm very happy and incredibly relieved to report that it was a successful experiment. This morning my hives were very, very minimal. that's pretty amazing for me considering I didn't take any of my medication. The relief also gave me a good emotional release this morning, and tears well up just writing about it. The hives are horrible enough, but being on fairly high doses of anti-histamines every day also makes me fuzzy and hazy. I'm not as sharp as I could be. So, I'm really grateful for this treatment and the results its providing.

I could tell the treatments were already showing results from previous days. There's been a steady reduction in hives, but there also seems to be a calming effect for my nervous system. I've been speculating that this issue, among other issues for me, are at least in part a consequence of a dysregulated central nervous system. I can feel what I describe as a physical anxiety or an internal racing stimulation when the hives appear in the morning upon waking up. I can feel a poison ivy reaction internally before I even see an actual rash. I also have a pretty high resting heart rate. NeuroOptimal has helped in this quite a bit, but I think the Quinton treatment has really kick-started a unique healing process. Since starting this treatment, I've noticed a significant calming of that internal stimulation upon waking up. It's quite interesting how this ties in with much of the recent reading material (Samenow, Raine, Healing Developmental Trauma) as well as the NeuroOptimal experiments, EE, and the polyvagal theory. The Quinton treatments appear to work with the CNS and the fluid system within the spinal column, or what an osteopathic physician described as "a little ocean inside the body" in the article below. This relates to chiropractic ideas that Laura mentioned as well.

Mostly Ocean: A New Wave of Interest Quinton's Marine Therapy

Part of the difficulty in understanding Quinton's approach is that, as Jean Jarricot wrote, "Marine Plasma is not a serum against such and such illness but is designed for the living cell." In other words, it is not a narrow-focused therapy in the sense that physicians have been trained to think of drugs. Rather, it is a non-specific stimulus for healthy homeostatic balance.

This idea is clearly foreign to mainstream medical thinking, but it certainly fits with emerging holistic views, to say nothing of ancient medical concepts like Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine.

He described an "inhalaton phase," a shortening of the cranial-caudal length, and an "exhalation" in which the spinal column returns to its maximal length.

The healing process occurring seems pretty powerful, but it looks like it can also be countered by a bad diet. So if anyone is able to try this out, you want to give your body all the assistance and care you can provide. So, no inflammatory foods, sugar, chocolate, etc. And really try to not overstimulate your nervous system. Basically, I think you want to practice good mental, emotional, and physical hygiene on different fronts. I could be wrong, but I think supporting yourself with other healing modalities while doing the Quinton treatments might provide an synergistic effect (as I mentioned with the vitamin C). So doing things like NeuroOptimal, photobiomodulation, liposomal vitamin C, colon cleansing, and now it looks like finding a good chiropractor might provide an additional boost for the healing process. Emotional healing seems to tie into this as well and have been experiencing some really good results in that area as well. I was able to do some photobiomodulation last night after my injection and I definitely felt some interesting twitching in the muscles in my back.

After my experience, I don't think I'll ever need a chiropractor again. I've never heard of anything short of surgery that can put a herniated disc back into place and I really think that is what has happened to me.

So for general health, you can just drink this stuff?
