Randall Carlson's Work: Striking similarities (Comets, Geology, Catastrophism etc.) through Decades of meticulous research?!

For anyone interested in the area, Randall will head a excursion over the period of several days from 17 of may till 27 of May in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

That would be interesting - it would be fun to go into the field and look at what he has to show.

Noticed this, which would also likely be good:

I just came across this couple of articles by Gary Vey written for viewzone.com. It fits in with the research by Randall and others so I thought this might be the right place to post it although the viewzone articles are more focused rather on burst of gamma rays from outside our Solar system than a comet impact as the main factor of the Younger Dryas catastrophe.

"In order to determine the age of this set of petroglyphs in Nevada, researchers studied the calcium carbonate deposit layer on the rock's surface -- an indicator that the rocks had once been submerged in water. Between 13,000 and 15,000 years ago, the lake levels dropped below the level of the boulders."
--Dr. Eugene Hattori, an anthropologist with the Nevada State Museum

This is the abstract of the discovery paper:

On the west side of the Winnemucca Lake subbasin, Nevada, distinctive deeply carved meter-scale petroglyphs are closely spaced, forming panels on boulder-sized surfaces of a partially collapsed tufa mound. The large, complex motifs at this side are formed by deeply carved lines and cupules. A carbonate crust deposited between 10 200 and 9800 calibrated years B.P. (ka) coats petroglyphs at the base of the mound between elevations of 1202 and 1206 m. Petroglyphs above the carbonate crust are carved into a branching form of carbonate that dates to 14.8 ka. Radiocarbon dates on a multiple-layered algal tufa on the east side of the basin, which formed at an elevation of 1205 m, as well as a sediment-core-based total inorganic carbon record for the period 17.0–9.5 ka indicate that water level in the Winnemucca Lake subbasin was constrained by spill over the Emerson Pass Sill (1207 m) for most of the time between 12.9 ± 0.3 and ≥9.2 ka. These and other data indicate that the lake in the Winnemucca Lake subbasin fell beneath its spill point between 14.8 and 13.2 ka and also between 11.3 and 10.5 ka (or between 11.5 and 11.1 ka), exposing the base of the collapsed tufa mound to petroglyph carving. The tufa-based 14C record supports decreased lake levels between 14.8–13.2 ka and 11.3–10.5 ka. Native American artifacts found in the Lahontan Basin date to the latter time interval. This does not rule out the possibility that petroglyph carving occurred between 14.8 and 13.2 ka when Pyramid Lake was relatively shallow and Winnemucca Lake had desiccated.

I was not aware of this info from 2016 and find it quiet interesting that it is located in North America, not so far from one of the most impacted areas. One of the pictures is below and if it was carved by Clovis people, it is indeed a great find. Based on what we know from C's, there were perhaps three major cataclysmic events so the carving might depict one of the first two because after the third there might have been no one left in NA to record it.

Here is a rather recent presentation that is somewhat different than the ones that were shared here so far, in which he discusses the Grail material and literature in the context of the historic times in which most of it was written/created. I guess he is most likely not talking about the quest we here think about when we hear "the quest for the holy grail" (although I'm still not really sure about that), but nonethelless, I'm still very much impressed about his sheer never ending knowledge about the physical and historic aspects of things like this, in combination with a wealth of rather unique and surprising ideas and parallels he draws from all of this. The guy is just a wealth of information (keeping in mind the possible downfalls of his reasoning mentioned in posts above):

Randall, Michelangelo, everyone is talking numbers and ratios. Add resonance and it gets very mysterious. Wonderful video and whets the appetite. Thank you Pashalis. With Randall being a mason he's been well grounded in sacred geometry

The rumors are getting more concrete that he is actually working on writing a book at the moment! The information about it is pretty hard to come by at the moment since nobody seems to have asked him about it and there isn't any concrete statement about it available anywhere yet, besides one short segment where he alluded to it a couple of years ago. See above quotes.

[...]

So I'm very much looking forward to that book and what he will actually put in it...

It is official now, Randall is currently working on not just one book but a whole series of books. Looks like he is finally putting all of his research into written form. It‘s about time! Can‘t wait to read it.

In the recent interview below starting at 01:38:04 he talks about it for the first time in more detail publicly. The first book will probably be finished at the end of this year and will likely contain about 120.000 words. That first book will be kind of a smorgasbord according to Randall with many subjects, ideas and concepts introduced for people. He also talks about a „a couple of follow up books“ that are in the oven including one about the grail mystery, with a pretty interesting premise. I‘ll transcribe that part of the interview in the following days.

In the following video recorded in 2008 Randall gives a short and fascinating rundown of what happened in 1871 in Peshtigo and Chicago fire, including a lot of material he collected himself over a decade ago while doing investigations in the area. Some if not much of it he uncovered for the first time since the event. Some of the quotes he cites have never seen the public light of the day. He is also connecting the dots and comes to the conclusion that the whole event was much broader both in scale and weirdness then anyone would think. He also makes clear that he doesn’t believe in coincidences and points to the very interesting/strange fact that another huge and mysterious fire happened on the exacts same day of the year in the same our at another point in time. A event that could hardly be stranger happened there. He thinks that a meteor bombardment likely explains some of it while other strange facts in it are still mysterious and aren‘t so easily explained with a meteorite alone. Also he seems to be the first person to have uncovered the sheer scale and extent of the event reaching huge parts of land simultaneously in America. Interesting quotes, pictures and facts are also mentioned about the Hinckley Fire in 1894 and the „Big Burn“ in 1910.

Also a very interesting exercise in looking at ancient myths in that light. What happened in those cosmic fire events just rather recently in a rather small scale was so utterly weird and disturbing that even educated modern day scientists/people were and are totally baffled by it. How much more disturbing and ominous must it then have been for ancient people? It is also very interesting to note that the language, phrases, words and bewildered exclamations people used to describe what they have witnessed in those recent events very closely resembles the language of ancient myths and legends, even though in the first case people were already getting far into the „modern age“.

That was a good review, Pashalis. Looked up the book (the witness account) on the Peshtigo Fire by Reverend Peter Pernin - from the Wisconsin Magazine of History 1971 where you can thumb/click through it here: WER: The Great Peshtigo Fire [2] or as a book on Amazon.

Randall's discussion on Ethan - Acetylene and the comet Hyakutake mentioned, was interesting, and he also brings up the point concerning 'omnipresent' carbon. This is in reference to the gas clouds/balloons seeking oxygen - and then conflagration. Electrical phenomenon included. Notice how the events at Peshtigo (multiple fires around the great lakes including of course Chicago) were adjacent to the water's edges as shown below. It is likely these fire storms went inland and were under reported due to the lack of communities at the time there, not sure though. Just a curious point, like an attractant or underwater methane sink that was released and rolled around in the atmosphere until igniting.

Anyway, I've read Ignatius Donnelly's accounts on this before and yet missed this business of possible out-gassing, and it seems (without saying it) that Randal presents two possibilities (above and below) and maybe it was the influence above (comet) that caused things to open up below and the two came together in conflagration, or it's back to the Hyakutake type situation alone that he mentions?

Forgot to add that the point mentioned (methane - although not specifically named) was also indicated by witnesses. Read the end of this:

So to repeat, "they could smell, and even taste the gas for days previous to the conflagration..."

As for some of the descriptions of the rolling gases and their sudden ignition (balloons of gas), the closest thing that reminded me of this was our very own fireplace at home that has a catalytic converter. So, when you shut down the flow of oxygen in a certain heat range, the fire changes to a more gaseous output (like balloons of rolling gas) from the converter, which ignites in a slow but volatile way; and it is very hot.

Randall and friends just started to put out a new video-podcast in which the goal will be to get a good portion of Randall's research out there. A website for this podcast/video project and a youtube channel for it is in the making as we speak.

The Randall Carlson Podcast, episode 001 of Kosmographia. Also to be posted on the Kosmographia YouTube channel (coming soon!) - please subscribe, as we will eventually have all the new episodes there. Topics covered in this show: Who are these guys and how did the group come to work together Spring trip to Mesa Verde and Chimney Rock with CAC'19 participants Goals for the podcast; topics that won't and will be covered Reference site https://cosmographicresearch.org Cosmography and catastrophism defined Late Wisconsin Ice Age and Pleistocene/Holocene transition events Inherited amazing legacy of information from our ancestors What are the appropriate/optimal responses to this information? We'll explore the consequences to be prepared for, and strategies for survival How much time do we have? What if a Tunguska-type event happened now? Growth often requires a shock to the system

That's a cool thing.

Bookmarked for later, however listened to ten minutes and Carlson brings up Darren Grimes (the "Grimerica Boys" he says) out of Calgary, Alberta (sounds like they explored some of the Canadian Rockies et cetera together). Grimes also has some type of podcast - some shows with Carlson featured. This is called Grime Works.

When he talks about the fast glacial melt here (Alberta and BC), yes, this landscape offers up good examples of the speed of the melt of the Cordilleran ice sheet and its flow south.

Lastly and funny, they invented some new geological terminology for these squiggly mountains 'Squigglyosity' - I'll have to remember that word and use it in the field as they can be seen around here every day.

Squigglyosity example as he puts it:

Fantastic, Thank you Pashalis. What a mine of information but the constant realization of what knowledge we have lost. Exciting times indeed and the tragedy of Wm Reich.
