Russia Begins Operations in Syria: End Game for the US Empire?

Hi everyone!

I can't do this alone. If we have discussion it would be much better. Thank you for your understanding.:-)

Some interesting developments on the ground in Syria, before Putin-Erdogan meeting in Moscow.

Well, "who's on first" as an old Abott and Costello comedy skit used to say.

SOHR: Manbij Attack Harbors Turkey's Political Message to US

There seems to be a heavy scent of Turkish blow-back but knowing it was the Head of the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights(SOHR) Rami Abdul Rahman from his flat in London who makes the claims I smell a rat somewhere.

Maybe, blaming the suicide bombing on Turkey is a distraction from ISIS still being a threat in Syria and the U.S. (and other countries) having supported ISIS rather than destroying them.

The FBI investigation also seems odd. Why the FBI instead of a military security group? And the same SOHR source just says they have a "source" that says the FBI is doing an investigation so how true that story is I don't know.

Of course Turkey does have vested interests in attacking the Kurds (YPG) so they are not difficult to place on the suspect list. Some possible players like the MOSSAD and MI6 would be on my suspect list too but then I don't much access to such information other than historical data (and Collingwood's Idea of History).

It's kind of like a historical "soap opera" these days...:knitting:

I still can't get a fix on what kind of game Erdogan is playing? He's in consultation with Russia ... yet ... the Turkish army is rendering logistical support to Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front)? The Ankara-backed National Liberation Front (NLF) militant group have dismissed Ankara's official claims about their struggle against Tahrir al-Sham in Northern Syria, and even said Turkey has called on the terrorist group to continue occupying Idlib province. Is Erdogan setting up the Tahrir al-Sham for elimination, when Russian and Syrian forces begin their operation to liberate Idlib?

Recent reports state that Erdogan has over 30,000 Troops waiting on the Turkish/Syrian Border. Question is, "Are they going to be part of an operation in Syria or are they mainly there to protect Turkey's Border"? It's being reported, Iraq has the same number of Troops on it's Border with Syria.

Critic's claim that Trump is responsible for bring in mercenaries to replace US troops leaving the Northern part of Syria.
Some claim Blackwater is an extension of the DEEP State's drug and gun running operations in the Middle east.

The controversial security contractor Blackwater is back in the headlines now that its founder – billionaire and former Navy SEAL Erik Prince – has made the case that the United States should replace its small footprint of 2,000 troops in Syria with mercenaries.

Prince’s pitch on Fox Business comes after U.S. President Donald Trump’s surprise pullout announcement in December left Washington’s allies – the Syrian Kurdish forces that fought ISIS – fearing for their security in the face of threats from Turkey.

Blackwater, which was renamed, sold and began operating in 2011 as Virginia-based Academi, was mired in controversy after it was banned from Iraq after some of its people opened fire on civilians at a busy traffic circle

If I think in terms that a psychopath hardly ever changes his mind once he set out to "get" what he wants then Zionist plans to divide and weaken it's ME neighbors (Greater Israel) is always on the table until accomplished.

Of course that plan may not line up with reality in the end but that won't stop them from pursuing the completion of the Zionist Greater Israel plans (perhaps their wishful thinking downfall?)

Assad is well aware of Syria’s serious location problem. The stealing of the Golan Heights during the Six-day War in 1967 underscored just how determined Israel was in expanding its borders according to the designs of the once highly secret Greater Israel project.

It does look like with the advent of Putin on the stage that maybe "year Zero" began to the dismay of Israel and what some have labeled RKM (the Rothchild Kazarian Mafia).

Israeli-American Terror Machine Exposed, Checkmated And Decimated In Syria
* RKM is an abbreviation to represent the Rothschild Khazarian Mafia, a term coined by VT Financial Editor Mike Harris whose VT radio show is on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9 PM CST. Mike Harris started using this descriptive term Rothschild Khazarian Mafia (RKM) after extensively researching the true but hidden history of the nation of Khazaria and its connection to Rothschild World Zionism now centered in the City of London. The RKM operates out of the City of London, a separate nation inside the UK which has its own police force and diplomats and pays no taxes to the UK government, like the Vatican. The RKM has deeply infiltrated America and hijacked its manufacturing and distribution of money and most of its institutions of government, uses the US Military to fight its proxy wars for Israel and to earn massive profits. The RKM uses UK, Israeli and American Intel factions to traffick in illegal narcotics to generate massive “off the books” money for black ops and payoffs to politicians and government officials they “own”. And it has now been recently disclosed by former Representative Cynthia McKinney (a true stand up American Hero) that any newly elected member of Congress receives a visit from AIPAC and must sign a Loyalty Oath to place Israel’s security first even before America’s or they will be denied political funding and AIPAC will make a well funded effort to vote them out of office. Obviously until Members of Congress stop taking and obeying these illegal, unConstitutional, treasonous and seditious oaths to Israel, the USA will remain little more than an Israeli/RKM provincial territory and servant.

I don't know either (and that's just Erdogan), yet the region as a whole was discussed by that professor, Gunnar Heinsohn, who it was mentioned in a post on the forum (with links) on the issue of Islam's historical roots, and here Gunner discusses the Middle East in the present and future on a social level.

The article was posted on Christmas day 2018 and I'm still thinking about it, and yet the point was to look at some of the demographic number realities that he added to build on his points - it is his point.

There is nothing that is going to be easy and lasting about these matters in the short run. Nothing easy for Russia, Syria or the US etc. (meddeling not withstanding) and certainly not for the young men of the Middle East trying to find their way up with the dogmas at hand and prevalent social conditions - it is a mess and violence seems to be a continuum.

2,000 Against Millions

Proclaim victory and pull out!

On December 19, Donald Trump tweeted his own version of this classic military maxim as the president announced the withdrawal of America’s 2,000 soldiers from the war against the ISIS caliphate in Syria.

Allies reacted with shock. Enemies mocked and gloated. Neither reaction should come as a surprise.

The president’s defenders emphasize that America has nothing to show for the $7 trillion it has spent on this war. The United States, they say, has much greater concerns at home and in East Asia. Few analysts, regardless of how they feel about America’s withdrawal from Syria, understand why such conflicts drag on and on, despite enormous losses. Historians and journalists rarely examine the demographic data that explain why deadly wars can last for decades or centuries.

Even the killing ground of Europe from 1500 to 1945 escapes their attention. And when it comes to Syria, they are utterly clueless about the link between rapid demographic growth and the long and bloody wars that have devastated this region. Explosive population growth results in explosions on the battlefield.

Between 1900 and 2015, Islam’s global population increased by a factor of nine, from 200 million to 1.8 billion people. Christianity, though still the largest religion worldwide, only quadrupled (from 560 million to 2.3 billion). Since 1950, Islam has added nearly 1.4 billion people to its fold, despite the fact that Iran, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Turkey—which together have 180 million inhabitants—are now in a post-growth phase (defined as fewer than two children per woman). This lower birth rate also applies to the approximately 20 million citizens in the rich sheikdoms between Bahrain and Kuwait.

But nine Muslim countries belong to the 68 nations of the world that have what I call a “war index” that is higher than 3—that is, they have 3,000 or more youths between the ages of 15 and 19 for every 1,000 men aged 55 to 59 who are close to retirement. For four Islamic countries outside the Middle East—Afghanistan (5.99; 36 million), Sudan (4.65; 42 million), Mauritania (4.17; 5 million) and Pakistan (3.39; 200 million)—the war index is even higher.

Today, there are about 100 million Arabs (up from 15 million in 1950) living in countries that have the high population growth that leads to a high war index: Iraq (5.80; 40 million), Palestine (5.46; 5 million), Yemen (5.41; 29 million), Syria (4.02; 18 million), Jordan (3.95; 10 million).

Since 1960, these five countries have been involved in almost 40 armed conflicts. “Only” seven of these conflicts involved attempts to annihilate Jews in Israel. The most virulent players of the Middle East and North Africa region may take occasional breaks from violent conflict. But until at least 2030, when their war index will have fallen well below 3, the region will have to establish a balance between the ambitions of its millions of unemployed young men and the too-few available jobs.

As it becomes more and more difficult for these potential fighters to get work or find social welfare outside their region, we can expect an increase in bloody rebellions against domestic elites, with frustrated young men demanding and fighting for a place in society. A continuation of the region’s low economic growth will make the fighting worse. In 2017, the five countries applied for nine (nine!) high-caliber international patents under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. More than 200 times as many applications came from Israel.

Since most of the victims of internal violence are Muslims as well, their elimination is usually justified as a mandate from the Most High. In this respect, the ISIS Caliphate under Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi provides lessons about the past and a peek at the future, as well. Because of Trump’s intervention in the war, ISIS has lost 98 percent of its territories and at least 60,000 men {think he must mean Russia's intervention}. Is this number frightening to them? Certainly! Does it mean an end to the ability of ISIS and its successors under some other holy banner to absorb losses?

Certainly not.

Due to very high birth rates up to 2015, the number of 15-29-year-old males in Iraq and Syria alone will rise by 3.5 million through 2030 (from 7.75 million to 11.25 million).

As a great danger, allegedly overlooked by Trump, it is emphasized that 30,000 hidden ISIS fighters would still have to be defeated before withdrawal can be considered. In actual fact, the number of angry young Islamists striving upwards by violence is at least 100 times higher. By staying in Syria, the 2,000 Americans risk their lives for coming battles that may not even be winnable for 100,000 western soldiers.

For Russians and Persians, who are now in a triumphant mood, Syria will not be a walk in the park either. Above all Putin, constrained by a war index of 0.67 (1,000 older men are followed by only 670 younger ones), loses the support of even ardent supporters in the event of significant losses. These powers can send their own sons to die in Syria and Iraq, or simply try to confine the revolutions in which competing brothers kill each other to the brothers’ own countries. None of this will happen peacefully.

Genocide threats from the belligerent young men of the Islamic world are not directed against Israel alone. Kurds are also targeted, and not just by Ankara. The aging, low birth rate West, in which every man who falls on the battlefield may terminate a family line, cannot do much to stop the years of violence that lie ahead. But strategic support for the survival struggle of threatened nations remains possible. Red lines around Israel and Kurdistan, the crossing of which would trigger air strikes against the heartlands of the attackers, would be one way of achieving such a goal.

As shown in the short video, the battle started off with a great deal of success for the Islamist rebels, led by Jaysh Al-Islam, with almost all of East Ghouta region falling to the opposition.

However, the Islamist rebel advance would ultimately be stalled by late 2013, when the Syrian Arab Army, alongside Hezbollah, were able to retake much of the western slopes of the Qalamoun Mountain region.

This advance in the western Qalamoun later paved the way for the Syrian Army and Hezbollah to retake historic Christian city of Ma’aloula and key town of Al-Maliha in the East Ghouta region.

In 2015, the Syrian military and Hezbollah launched their second major offensive in the Qalamoun Mountains and East Ghouta; this would later make way for their last operation in 2018.

(Why? Don't you make parts for WW1 planes - anymore?) However, the British military will leave at least a half dozen warplanes to strike the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) forces when needed, along with the Syrian government if they are accused of using chemical weapons.

The Israeli Army launched several guided missile and rocket attacks from air and land on Syria's territories on Monday morning. The Arabic-language service of Russian Sputnik news agency quoted a high-ranking military source as saying that the Syrian Army's air defenses intercepted and destroyed 38 missiles, including surface-to-surface missiles, on the surrounding areas of Damascus, Quneitra and Sweida.

Israel used mechanism of contacts with Russia during strikes in Syria , says spokesman

Israel used the mechanism of urgent contacts with the Russian military during strikes against targets in Syria last night, Israel Defense Force spokesman Jonathan Conricus told a news briefing for foreign media on Monday.

Last night’s strikes against Iranian targets in Syria were in retaliation for the launch of a surface-to-surface missile against the Israeli territory on Sunday. The Israeli Air Force attacked Iranian weapons warehouses, an intelligence facility, a training camp and Syrian air defense batteries, the IDF press-service said earlier. On Sunday, the Israeli Iron Dome air defense system intercepted a missile launched at the Golan Heights. Earlier on the same day the Syrian news agency SANA said that Syria’s air defense systems repelled an Israeli air attack in the south of the country.

According to Russia's top brass, four Syrian military were killed and six others were wounded in Israel’s night airstrike on Syria’s territory.

"On January 21, 2019 between 2:11 am and 2:56 am the Israeli Air Force carried out three air strikes on Syria’s territory from the western, southwestern and southern directions. While repelling the strike, the Syrian air defenses destroyed more than 30 cruise missiles and guided bombs," the center said.

Four Syrian military were killed and six others were wounded. The Damascus international airport’s infrastructure was damaged.

Israeli forces have shifted from a doctrine of “war by stealth” to openly declared aggression on its northern neighbor Syria. For two straight days, the Israelis bombarded Syria’s capital Damascus and its environs with dozens of air-launched cruise missiles. Many of the projectiles were reportedly intercepted by Russian-supplied air defense systems.

Israeli Criminality, Hubris in Syria Invites Catastrophe

Nevertheless the Israeli blitzkrieg resulted in at least four Syrian military personnel being killed and damage to the civilian international airport near Damascus. That amounts to an outrageous war crime, as have countless air strikes carried out previously by Israel on Syria. Shamefully, the United Nations and Western governments maintain a hypocritical silence, while slapping sanctions on Syria, Russia and Iran over various alleged “transgressions”.

But what’s remarkable about the latest Israeli aggression is the public acknowledgement by the government in Tel Aviv. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while on an African tour at the weekend, openly acknowledged the Israeli air strikes, as did the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

We have a set policy, to target the Iranian entrenchment in Syria, and to harm whoever tried to harm us,” said Netanyahu on a visit to Chad.

In a statement, the IDF said: “We have started striking Iranian Quds [Revolutionary Guards] targets in Syrian territory. We warn the Syrian Armed Forces against attempting to harm Israeli forces or territory.”

Earlier this month, Netanyahu bragged to his cabinet members in televised comments about the “success” of repeated air strikes on Syria purportedly against Iranian targets. That was also around the same time the outgoing IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot boasted to Western media about “running a bombing campaign” against Syria with “thousands of strikes” over recent years on an almost daily basis.

One of those air strikes last September resulted in the death of 15 Russian aircrew when their IL-20 surveillance plane was mistakenly shot down by Syrian air defenses in what appeared to be a deliberate aerial trap set up by Israeli fighter jets. The incident sparked outrage in Moscow which then promptly delivered upgraded S-300 air defense systems to Syria. Those air defense systems may account for the successful interception of dozens of Israeli missiles in the latest barrage. This change in Israeli policy from habitually issuing “no comment” responses after air strikes are reported in Syria to one where senior government figures are publicly exulting in the conduct of attacks is an extraordinary development.

Some observers have pointed out that it could be Netanyahu engaging in electioneering. He is seeking re-election in April and so may be playing the “tough guy” image to bolster his national security credentials among voters. That may partly be the calculus. But there does appear also to be a bigger shift going in Israeli military strategy towards Syria and Iran.

No doubt the announced withdrawal of US troops from Syria by President Trump has thrown the various regional players into flux. Russia has emerged as the dominant military force in Syria and possibly the wider region due to its masterstroke of intervening in Syria to thwart the country’s foreign enemies waging their regime-change operation.

Of course, the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad has emerged too with renewed confidence and respect in the region for its formidable defense. Syria’s allies Iran and Hezbollah have also gained immense kudos in helping the Arab country defeat the US-NATO-Israeli-Saudi axis and their terrorist proxy army.

Israeli paranoia over Iranian military presence in neighboring Syria has seen the Israelis lobbying Moscow to put limits on Iranian forces. Last month, Russian military officials were reportedly in Israel for discussions with Israeli counterparts. It is believed part of those talks – described as “tense” – were appeals by the Israelis to Russia to give guarantees about what they called “Iranian expansionism”. It appears that Moscow was not obliging.

In this context of flux, it seems that Israel is trying to desperately assert its influence over political and military developments in Syria that are viewed by the Israelis as negative. In trying to salvage its interests in the failed covert war for regime change in Syria, the Israelis are openly adopting criminal aggression with a hubris that is out of control.

The public admission of daily air strikes by Israeli leaders on Syria is an admission of war crimes. The strikes are wanton aggression and violation of international law. They can be in no way justified as “defensive” against “threats”.

Iranian and Hezbollah forces are in Syria legally at the request of the Damascus government, as are Russian military. Just because the Israelis have a paranoid obsession about Iran and Hezbollah does not give them any legal grounds to launch air strikes on Syria.

In the latest escalation it is openly admitted by the Israelis that they launched the missiles first. On Sunday morning, Israel attacked Damascus and southern Syria supposedly against “Iranian targets”.

Later, on Sunday afternoon, the Iranian forces fired a medium-range rocket from near Damascus aimed for Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Israel’s Iron Dome air defense reportedly intercepted it successfully with no casualties among Israeli tourist skiers on the holiday resort slopes of Mount Hermon.

Then in the early hours of Monday, the Israelis launched more cruise missiles on Damascus. Syrian air defenses were warned by the Israeli’s to “hold fire”. When the Syrian air defense neutralized many of the incoming warheads, the Israelis turned around to target the Syrian army. Four Syrian military personnel were reportedly killed.

Evidently, even according to Israeli official accounts, it is the Israelis who are engaging in unwarranted first strikes. Their supposed “retaliation” to the Iran rocket on the Golan Heights is an oxymoron. Even more absurd, the Syrians are warned not to activate air defense systems while their country is being attacked. When Syria defends itself, its troops are then killed by enemy air strikes. And let’s not forget, the Golan Heights are internationally recognized as Syrian territory which Israel annexed and has been illegally occupying since the 1967 Six Day War. Again, the Western hypocrisy is exposed with no sanctions on Israel, but Russia is being sanctioned for allegedly annexing Crimea in 2014.

Iran’s air force commander responded to the latest events, saying his nation was “ready for a war that will destroy the state of Israel”. Such a war could drag in the US and Russia – and lead to nuclear weapons being deployed. The Israeli regime with its 200-300 nuclear warheads is certainly criminally arrogant enough.

Israel’s reckless flouting of international law and its taunting of enemies may be just the kind of hubris that precedes a catastrophic fall.

The Syrian Minsitry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Monday sent two letters to the UN Chief and President of the Security Council dealing with the repeated Israeli attacks on the Syrian territories, the latest of which was launched today's dawn in a flagrant violation of the Security Council Resolutions.

The cowardly Israeli aggression on the Syrian territories comes within the framework of the Israeli enemy's bids to prolong the crisis and the terrorist war in Syria and to raise the morale of the remaining terrorists in the country, said the ministry in its letters.

The ministry affirmred that Israel has increasingly adopted state terrorism policy after its attacks and conspiracy against Syria since the beginning of the crisis had failed to prevent the Syrian Arab army and its allies from defeating Daesh, Jabhat al-Nusra and the rest of terrorist groups which are partners of the Israeli occupation authorities in terrorism.

The Republican Senator from South Carolina uttered his remarks following a series of curiously timed developments in Syria, including a terror attack in the northern city of Manbij that reportedly left four Americans dead, and ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.

Jan. 22, 2019 - Lindsey Graham Prophesies ‘Iraq on Steroids’ Syria Scenario. Israel Obliges with Attack on Damascus
Lindsey Graham Prophesies ‘Iraq on Steroids’ Syria Scenario. Israel Obliges with Attack on Damascus

Graham, an outspoken critic of Donald Trump’s plan to withdraw some 2,000 US troops from Syria, drew parallels between this move and America’s disastrous military campaign in Iraq, which culminated in the most unacceptable scenario for any neoconservative ‘hawk on steroids’ and that is a tail-between-the-legs withdrawal.

So I told President Trump – if you withdraw and do not think this through, you're creating a nightmare for Turkey," Graham said from Ankara, the Turkish capital. “This is going to be Iraq on steroids.”

Considering that Washington has behaved as a lawless belligerent in Iraq, exactly as it has been in Syria and Libya, talk of a withdrawal that is “too early” is the height of arrogance and hubris. The fact is US forces had no right to be in any of those places, where their status is that of brute occupiers.

Meanwhile, Graham, who should be required to mention every time he opens his mouth that his two largest campaign donors are Lockheed Martin and General Electric, failed to mention who has been injecting those “steroids” into the Syria theater. Top honors in that category would have to go to the US military and Israel Defense Forces. At the time of this writing (Monday morning, Moscow time), the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that four Syrian servicemen were killed in yet another Israeli aerial strike. There was also damage sustained near Damascus International Airport.

Israel says it carried out the attack in response to Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards launching a missile over the Golan Heights, an area seized from Syria during the 1967 Six-Day War. The Israeli government said its Iron Dome aerial defense system repelled the alleged strike.

To add insult to injury, the IDF warned Syria not to respond to attacks on its own territory. "During our strike, dozens of Syrian surface-to-air missiles were launched, despite clear warnings to avoid such fire. In response, we also targeted several of the Syrian Armed Forces' aerial defense batteries," the IDF wrote.

Accusing Iran of an attempted attack against Israel from Syria is an explosive development, not least of all because Syrian President Bashar Assad has already stated that Iran has no troop presence in his country, only advisors. Moreover, Israel’s uncorroborated accusation fails to take into account Russia’s influential role in Syria ever since it was invited into the country by Assad in order to help flush out Islamic State terrorists.

It is altogether inconceivable that Russia would allow Iran - in the highly unlikely event Tehran would be so rash as to carry out such an attack - to take any offensive measures against Israel from Syrian territory. Vladimir Putin has already pledged his commitment to help bolster security along the Israeli and Syrian border, so the last thing Tehran would want to do is violate this agreement.

Meanwhile, it should not be forgotten that Iran, to the extent that it is in Syria, is only there by invitation from President Assad. And since an attack on Israel from Syrian territory is the very last thing Damascus needs or wants, it is another reason Iran would never have committed itself to such a foolish move.

The irony of Lindsey Graham warning that a US withdrawal from Syria could turn the country into “Iraq on steroids” is that US warmongering is what turned both Iraq and Syria into damaged goods. Graham apparently fails to appreciate the fact, or is not paid enough to admit it, that had Washington never launched an unprovoked attack against Saddam Hussein in 2003 there would never be an Islamic State in Syria today.

Like a stupid redneck who smashes up the Ford pickup during yet another late-night drinking binge, the United States will never admit it made a disastrous mistake by invading Iraq. It won’t enter a 12-step rehabilitation program for wayward superpowers. It won’t go to church and seek forgiveness on bloody knees. No, it will just keep digging deeper and deeper into the quagmire until something unholy emerges from the ooze and slime, something like Islamic State, the ultimate bogeyman.

Yet instead of the $700 billion US military knocking out this motley crew of malcontents in an afternoon with its omnipotent drone capabilities as ISIS was crossing wide open desert between Iraq and Syria in its menacing Toyota trucks, it allowed this group to metastasize to the ridiculous point that it was able to open a lucrative oil export business.

“The Syro-Arabian Desert is open territory,” wrote Michel Chossudovsky in Global Research. “With state of the art jet fighter aircraft (F15, F22 Raptor, F16) it would have been – from a military standpoint – a piece of cake, a rapid and expedient surgical operation, which would have decimated the Islamic State convoys in a matter of hours.”

I’m guessing Russia, certainly no slouch on military matters, understood this as well, and it was just around this time when it could watch the painful spectacle no more and entered the fray, largely annihilating the overrated band of common killers and street thugs in less than a week.

But now that Trump is threatening to hightail it out of Dodge, we are being treated to another bit of Islamic State Theater.
Just weeks after Trump started the Deep State with his withdrawal threat, the Atlantic magazine introduced us to Zulfi Hoxha, the son of an Albanian-American pizza-shop owner from New Jersey, who worked his way up the terror ladder and is now “one of the very few Americans in the Islamic State’s upper ranks.”

Readers are even reminded of those gruesome beheadings that softened up Westerners for America’s illegal entry into Syria in the first place. “If they are right about his identity, Hoxha is the first American Islamic State member known to be beheading individuals,” the magazine noted. “Hoxha is now known to have become a senior commander of Islamic State…”

Back to Lindsey Graham. His warning is reminiscent of Obama’s infamous “red line” comment where he said the thing that would “change my calculus” is for the “Assad regime” to carry out a chemical attack. That was no different from telling Assad’s enemies that if they dare ring this bell American forces will come storming to their defense. Never mind that Assad has no reason to resort to primitive weapons, but the ‘moderate’ rebels certainly do.

By Graham making such an announcement, he has awakened once again the anti-Assad forces, encouraging them to start rattling the cage to prevent Trump’s withdrawal from happening. We can already see how much the peacenik faction in Trump’s administration, made up of nice guys like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, are anxious to stop the bloodshed in Syria.

Unfortunately, and potentially catastrophically, it appears that the United States and Israel will continue to find excuses for remaining in Syria, even if that means sparking a global conflagration of epic proportions. All that would take is a single spark.

Commenting on the Israeli enemy’s aggression on the Syrian territories at dawn on Monday, Spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that “China has always stressed the need to respect, protect and defend Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.”

She added that the political process to solve the crisis in Syria has reached a key and decisive stage, pointing out that concerned parties should not take any steps that escalate tension; rather, they should seek preserving the security and stability of the region and encourage political settlement in Syria.

"We definitely highly value our cooperation in the Astana format and with the UN in promoting the political process in correspondence with [UN Security Council's] Resolution 2254. So, we hope for continuity and your working experience both in the structures of your homeland and in international organizations, including the UN," Lavrov said at a meeting with Pedersen on Monday, according to Itar Tass.

The Russian Minister especially noted the contribution to the work to implement Resolution 2254 made by former UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, highlighted that the joint efforts of the UN, Russia and the Middle East countries made it possible to achieve numerous results "on land" in Syria, including humanitarian issues.

The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that there is the growing understanding in the region that it is necessary to apply more efforts now to create conditions which would facilitate the return to Syria of citizens which had to leave the country.

In the same context, Pedersen said in a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu that Russia is playing a key role in the settlement of the crisis in Syria, Tass reported.

The former US special envoy for the anti-Daesh forces in Syria claimed that pulling American troops out of Syria could have devastating consequences as “there is no plan” for what comes next once the forces are gone.

Jan. 22, 2019 - Ex-US Coalition envoy says ‘there is no plan’ for what comes after American withdrawal

Brett McGurk, the former special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh, said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that there is no concrete withdrawal plan.

“Announcing you’re going to withdraw and without a plan — and believe me there’s no plan for what’s coming next. Right now we do not have a plan,“ he said.

“It increases the vulnerability of our force, it increases the risk on the ground in Syria,” he added, suggesting that the US President Donald Trump went against the overwhelming advice of his national security team in making his decision.

“In this case, I think the entire national security team had one view, and the president in a conversation with (Turkish) President Erdoğan just completely reversed the policy,” McGurk said.

McGurk, who submitted his resignation shortly after President Trump announced last month that he was pulling US troops out of Syria, argued that the absence of American forces will create a void in leadership and lead to openings for Daesh to rebound. He rejected the idea that Turkey would be able to replace the role of the US.

“It takes American leadership and it takes American presence, and we just told the world we’re no longer going to be present,” he said.

National Security Adviser John Bolton earlier this month indicated that the US would not fully leave the country without both the total defeat of Daesh and assurances from Turkey that it will not target US-backed Kurdish fighters in Syria.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also said that the US is remaining in the region with the same mission it has always had and that the troop withdrawal is a “tactical change.”

(To McGurk - Bolton - Pompeo ... What part of Trump's word's "We are pulling out of Syria" do you fail to comprehend? To be fair, we can use simple English ... just Press #1 and wait for the recording ... ":bye::bye: Syria". )

If these next two reports are anywhere articulate, the US is plotting to use the Kurds to confront Turkey's proxies, by supplying the Kurds with more advanced anti-tank missile systems and pretty toys and advising them to drag their feet with Peace negotiations with the Damascus Government. On the other hand, US Secretary of State Pompeo is demanding from Turkey - a "Security Guarantee" that Erdogan won't go after and attack the Kurd's? (The Pentagon's Political strategy 101 - at it's best! And they call themselves "General's"!)

Turkish media outlets reported that the US has delivered two of its advanced anti-tank missile systems to the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), based in the Northern Syrian city of Manbij.

The US has supplied the YPG with its advanced Javelin and TOW anti-tank missile systems, the Turkish newspaper, Yeni Akit, cited sources as saying.

The sources claimed that right now, Turkey's special forces are trying to track these systems, as the YPG is "preparing a trap for Turkish tanks which are ready to enter Manbij".

The reported developments come after Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar reiterated during his meeting with Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Turkey's call on the US to promptly withdraw the US-backed YPG forces from Manbij.

Ankara has repeatedly blamed Washington for lending military support to the YPG, while the US insists its backing of the Kurds is needed to counter the ISIL.

According to Al-Ja’afari, Israel had repeatedly violated international law without any consequences.

Al-Jaafari, during a UN Security Council session on the situation in the Middle East, added that France, Britain and the US continuation to play the role of perjure and their stance that prevents Security Council from assuming its responsibilities will not affect Syria’s right to defend itself and work to restore the occupied Syrian Golan.

He went on to say that if UN Security Council didn’t adopt measures to halt the Israeli repeated aggressions on the Syrian lands, Syria would practice its legitimate right of self-defense and respond to the Israeli aggression on Damascus International Airport in the same way on “Tel Aviv Airport.”

Isn’t time now for the UN Security council to stop the Israeli repeated aggressions on the Syrian Arab republic territories,” al-Jaafari wondered.

He affirmed that the restoration of the Syrian Golan is a firm right for Syria which can’t be negotiable or abolished through prescription.
