Russia Begins Operations in Syria: End Game for the US Empire?

A Hungarian TV channel - probably financed by the West - showed an interview 30 minutes ago with a poor Western rebel bemoaning how they lost Syria and how bad their life is now under Assad:
- "Soon we will reclaim our country!"
TV announcer continues:
- Former powers, who supported Syria, now find themselves in a weakened state, their attention elsewhere, Spain is now concentrating on supporting Ukraine and Russia's focus is also in Ukraine.
The entire TV news report was set up so as if Dictator Assad caused untold suffering onto the Syrian people and with this new revolutionary uprising started, Syria will soon be free. Russian jet bombings failed to turn around the freedom fighters..

It was sickening just to listen to above in TV. While also - right after this to domestic news. Another Hungarian Hero revolutionary on Hungarian TV bemoaned how hellish their life is now under Dictator President Orban and how in 2026 during the elections millions will rise up to throw Orban to the trash...

What beautifully amazing people these are exercising their right to free speech. Disregarding how good a life they have in both countries, because the West failed to turn Syria and Hungary into a Failed State. Then when they achieve their future goals, resulting in Collective Misery, I guess these People of the Ganishing of Teeth will feel happy? Population of Hell will grow significantly, it appears. At least people there will never get bored.
- Bring on The Comets!

I think that the new "rebel ofensive" is the same as the "Kursk intrusion". PR show before anything else (and excuse for Israel to bomb Iran). Probably with the same mercenaries. Actually desperate measures for saving the face and spinning the world attention from Israel and Ukraine. And will go just as Kursk intrusion did. I would say that the West's downfall is accelerating.

What scheme do you mean? Erdogan has been very outspoken against Israel and its genocide in Gaza. It seems clear that the current "Syrian rebel attacks" are sponsored by Israel, the US or both.

Erdogan is a disgrace to the sensible and true Turkish nation. Everything he says can change even after 1-2 hours. He should be evaluated like this. I can say that for Israel and the USA in the Middle East, Erdogan's government has sold out both its own country and its cooperation with Russia. In the coming days, this geography will be very complicated again.

Of course, I do not live in Turkey, but through my observations over the years, I have to concur with dmnsklm on this. I've seen Erdogan flip-flop from one side to the other over and over again. I just don't believe anything he says.

“Syrian Army Communication Devices Exploding Amid Aleppo Assault
Reports indicate a disturbing trend: Syrian army communications equipment, including pagers and walkie-talkies, has been detonating during an assault by Islamist radical units on Aleppo.
Unconfirmed sources claim that Syrian forces have suffered widespread explosions of communication devices, with pagers and portable transmitters injuring users’ hands. A similar incident occurred in Lebanon last September during a large-scale Israeli attack, where concealed explosives in pagers, phones, and other devices killed and injured hundreds of Hezbollah members, allegedly planted by Israeli intelligence.
The current detonations coincide with an offensive by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)* and pro-Turkish groups in Aleppo.

Ankara's role in bolstering Tel Aviv

Despite Erdogans speeches against Israel with Embargo, and to sever ties with it - according to this article, Turkey continues to supply Israel with plenty of oil. Supposedly 30% of Israel's oil comes from Turkey.

Turkey Maintains Large Scale Oil Shipments to Israel Despite Claiming to Embargo:
Details on Ankara’s Role in Bolstering Tel Aviv

Agrowing body of research has highlighted that Turkey has continued to make major oil shipments to Israel, despite claims by the Turkish government to have imposed an oil embargo on the country. Researchers from the Stop Fuelling Genocide campaign, named on the basis of allegations of an Israeli genocide in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, compiled shipping data and satellite imagery. Their findings indicated that crude oil was being shipped directly from Turkey's Ceyhan Port to a pipeline near Ashkelon in Israel. Imports along this route accounted for approximately 30 percent of all Israeli oil imports.

Turkish vessels shipping crude oil to Israel have notably turned off their transponders, only to reappear days later.

They can nevertheless be observed making their deliveries using satellite imagery. Researchers at Stop Fuelling Genocide observed that the shipments were “only the tip of the iceberg in relation to ongoing trade between Israel and Turkey.” They highlighted that fuel sent to Israel was key to sustaining the country’s ongoing war efforts.

The Islamist government in Turkey
has notably sought to position itself as a leader of the Islamic world, investing considerably in cultivating soft power among Muslim majority states globally from Southeast Asia to West Africa. With the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict being a highly sensitive issue in many Muslim majority countries, Ankara has benefitted from positioning itself as a leading critic of Israeli policies, with its leadership often making particularly outspoken statements.

Turkey’s policies
have nevertheless closely reflected its status as a NATO member and a strategic partner of Israel, with the countries’ close defence partnership spanning several decades, an example being the extensive refurbishment and modernisation Israel provided to the Turkish F-4E fighter fleet.

The two have been widely reported to closely coordinate their operations against Syria and the Lebanese paramilitary Hezbollah, which have been pressed between two fronts in their conflicts with the two states. At a time when Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah is ongoing, it is notable that Turkey is the only other state actor to have also attacked Hezbollah positions, and that it shared intelligence on these engagements with Israel, while continuing to provide tremendous support to jihadist militias in Syria which target Hezbollah.

These militias in turn have received close air support from both Turkish and from Israeli fighter planes when engaging Syrian forces. Other than the United States, Turkish contributions have been by far the most significant in facilitating Israel’s ongoing war efforts against their common adversaries.

Explosion as Turkey Shot Down Syrian Mi-17 Helicopter Over Syria`s Idlib Governate in 2020

Reports regarding Turkish oil exports to Israel
notably follow a missile strike in mid-November by the Yemeni Ansurullah Coalition on the Turkish cargo ship Anadolu S. The large 183-meter-long vessel was operating in the Red Sea and was targeted to prevent it from supplying cargo to Israel.

The Ansurullah Coalition has consistently targeted Western countries’ shipping in order to impose a partial naval blockade of Israel, with such operations having been initiated in October 2023 in response to Israel’s alleged genocide of the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. The Yemeni group is a close strategic partner of Syria and Hezbollah, and an adversary of Western Bloc, Turkish and Israeli interests.

Turkey’s role in serving as a major secret conduit of oil to Israel
is notably far from new, and while currently much of the oil shipped from the country is of Azerbaijani origin, the country previously supplied Iraqi and Syrian oil to Israel after purchasing it from Islamist paramilitary groups that received sponsorship from the Turkish government. Turkey has continued to appropriate oil from fields in Northwestern Syria, which remains under its military control.

FWIW, I've read in an egyptian telegram chanel (here), that someone acknoledges this was false information.

I am not saying it is true or not, but I am currently in the state, based on the bullsh*t propaganda that has been spewed about Syria since 2011, that I immediately put this in the category of not likely to be true, unless well verified.
The initial sniff test for me, is that typically military does not tend to use commercial equipment that can be infiltrated by 3rd parties so easily. I think in Hezbollah's case, those using those devices that Israel booby trapped were used by the civil/administrative people, and not the military people. Or something like that.

So I am just being cautious about these kind of "news". So far the Western aligned sources have reported a lot of misinformation about this attack by the terrorists.

FWIW: Have been checking and watching it for some time and dropped my interest. Mix of relatively neutral texts with a lot of propaganda designed as a "Western experts confirm" for quoting and supporting whatever narrative Russia wants to push forward at a given moment. They would write that RF is weak and cannot afford maintaining her AF one day (next day you see it quoted in Russian articles), another day you read about the most sophisticated weapons Russia has or is just developing (top secret, of course), or a big success that didn't happen or cannot be confirm, like huge losses of Ukrainian/Western military equipment in a blitz strike. Russian outlets quickly pick it up.

Remember more than one case when RT published something, few hours later MWM had it as their own only slightly rephrased, and the next day RT quoted MWM ("American top military experts") as a confirmation for their reporting. Farce comedy, really.

Sometimes they would compare Western vs. Russian jets, tanks etc., and Russian turn out supreme each time, even when its like comparing apples and oranges - new American ones with outdated USSR production.

It seems it may work in a similar way with China and India related topics, but I don't know those languages so cannot verify it.

Not only oil. It was frequently reported in the press that Erdogan and those close to his party were secretly carrying out trade activities with Israel and earning good money. Even the Turkish Ministry of Commerce did not deny some of them. Products were delivered to the Israeli army via Greece and Palestine. While all this was going on, Erdoğan was condemning Israel in his speeches and giving a lesson in humanity.

In a situation where the official data of the Ministries of Commerce of the two countries documented that the trade volume with Israel had increased by 532 percent, the trade with Israel had been denied for seven months under the pretext of ‘boycott and protest against Israeli goods’ while the President of the Republic had been shouting ‘O murderer and bandit Israel!’ in the squares and on the screens.
However, after the electoral defeat, the Ministry of Trade officially admitted that all kinds of logistic support were given to Israel. On 9 April, it announced that the shipment of 54 goods, including iron-steel, cement, weapon parts, gunpowder, and jet fuel, among more than 150 goods sent to Israel, was ‘restricted’, and then the propaganda that ‘trade with Israel was completely cut off’ was pumped.

EXPORTS TO ISRAEL INCREASED BY 119 THOUSAND 555 PER CENT...

In the meantime, the fact that the ships sailing from Turkey transfer their containers to Israel during their voyage, change their routes on the way, and that only Turkish goods are allowed to be purchased in Tel Aviv-controlled ports; and the Minister's statement ‘It is not in our initiative which destinations - destinations - the ships we load oil from Ceyhan go to’ are clear confirmations of the fait accompli.

That is why, contrary to the claims of those in power that ‘trade with Israel has been stopped’, in the genocide that has intensified, according to the data of the Israeli Statistical Institute, against the astronomical increase in the sale of iron-steel, electrical-electronic and chemical materials to Palestine under Israeli occupation and the record-breaking 417 percent increase in jewellery exports in the last period, the question is asked: ‘What does Palestine, which has no industry, no factories, do with all this steel?’ (Feyza Nur Çalıkoğlu, Karar, 8.10.24)

As a result, the fact that trade with Israel has increased 14-fold, from $91 million to $571 million; in other words, trade with Israel has increased by 119,555 per cent reveals the reality.

the genuine plan of the Estonians for a potential conflict with Russia is finally beginning to manifest itself.
If someone in Estonia is more worried than enthusiastic about a conflict and now considers getting out, I find it hard to laugh it off.

Sure, there are some that are interested in a conflict, all gung-ho for an opportunity to show up on the front and fire some rounds, but at the same time, others are not. Suppose a number of officials and Estonian analysts know NATO wants more conflict, Ukraine style, without much concern for the people, but would not go as far as saying it loud and openly contradict their leaders who support boots on the ground. Would they intentionally bring up a suggestion that it is time to move?

It can be discussed whether even Finland is a safer destination, given that Finland is now a part of NATO, but Finland offers an exit through Sweden, and the languages belong both to the Finno-Ugric group. The YouTube channel, Langfocus, has an informative video about the differences and similarities between Finnish and Estonian. But if you watch the video, How Similar Are Finnish and Estonian?, check also out some of the comments, as they add the experiences of speakers of the two languages trying to understand each other.

A Hungarian TV channel - probably financed by the West - showed an interview 30 minutes ago with a poor Western rebel bemoaning how they lost Syria and how bad their life is now under Assad:
In fairness, I must say that things have not been good in Syria lately. Here is an interview with Russian war correspondent Oleg Blokhin, who has worked in Syria for a very long time. The main theses of his message:
1. The Syrian government does nothing but maintain its own power. The people of Syria have been living worse and worse for several years after the end of active hostilities.
2. The combat-ready units of the Syrian army have been dispersed. Some units (he calls the 4th division) have turned into gangs that are engaged in business racketeering and robberies of the population.
3. Bashar al-Assad has gone crazy in the last 2 years (this is a literal quote)
Indirectly, all this is confirmed by the way the Islamists are advancing, meeting virtually no resistance.
Analysis of the situation in Syria by Oleg Blokhin.
