Ankara announced the destruction of about 80 Turkish soldiers in Idlib, Syria. It is reported that 34 of them were eliminated by an airstrike of the Russian air force on a Turkish fortified point.

President Erdogan has urgently convened the security Council, and Turkish combat aircraft and F-16 fighters have been alerted to the air near the border with Syria.

According to eyewitnesses, the air force is noticeably more active over the country, which allegedly will relocate additional forces to airfields bordering the SAR to reduce the time of approach.

Ankara also accuses the Russian side of refusing to allow transport helicopters to evacuate the injured soldiers, who were taken out by road as a result.

Renewed
At the same time, the Governor of the Turkish province of Hatay, which borders Syria, said that "Turkish soldiers were subjected to an air strike by the forces of the Assad regime in Idlib, killing 9 soldiers of the Turkish armed forces."

Later, he reported that 22 soldiers were killed.

Currently, the situation in the Idlib zone is as follows: Turkish units went on the offensive together with the militants, that is, in the same battle lines, and therefore suffered significant losses.

Details of the "Russian Spring" was reported by a military source.

The official information of the Governor of Hatay province about 22 dead Turkish soldiers is extremely understated. More realistic figures-from a hundred dead and above-have already been leaked through Turkish social networks. Instagram Facebook and Twitter have been disabled throughout the country in order to prevent the real losses from being made public. The purpose of such actions is to hide information about the numerous victims in Syria from the public and the fear of a repeat of the events in Taksim square during the failed military coup that failed in 2016.

Earlier, Ankara announced the destruction of several dozen Turkish soldiers in the Syrian province of Idlib. According to some reports, 34 of them were eliminated by an airstrike of the Russian air force on a Turkish fortified point.

President Erdogan has urgently convened the security Council, and Turkish combat aircraft and F-16 fighter jets have been alerted to the air near the border with Syria.

The conflict in Idlib: statement of the Ministry of defense of Russia
The news is updated
28.02.2020 - 8: 58
The Russian defense Ministry this morning issued a statement on yesterday's incident in the Syrian province of Idlib.

So, according to the representative of the Russian military Department, on February 27, terrorists from the Idlib de-escalation zone attempted to conduct a major offensive on the positions of the Syrian government troops in Syria.

Turkish soldiers who came under fire from Syrian troops were among the advancing Islamist militants.

In addition, quoting data from the Turkish side, the Russian defense Ministry said that"there should not have been any units of the Turkish army in the area of Behun in Syria, where they came under fire."

The statement said that Russian military aircraft were not used in the area of Behun.

After receiving data on Turkish military casualties, Russia has taken exhaustive measures for a complete cease-fire by Syrian troops.

Briefly about yesterday's aggravation
Recall that the official Ankara announced an attack on its troops in the Syrian Idlib "by the regime" - this is what Turkey calls the legally elected authorities of the SAR.

As the Governor of the Turkish border province of Hatay, Rahmi Dogan, said late at night, a total of 33 Turkish soldiers were killed.

After launching retaliatory strikes against the positions of the Syrian military, Ankara decided to consider the Syrian troops as "enemy targets".

Everyone was waiting tensely to see if Washington would support Turkey and what NATO's reaction would be, but at about three o'clock in the morning Moscow time, the state Department said that the US supports Turkey in connection with the situation, and Turkey recalled its membership in the Alliance, saying that yesterday's attack "was an attack on NATO".

Several dozen protesters gathered at the Russian Consulate General in Istanbul.

Facebook instagram, Twitter, YouTube, And Facebook were restricted in Turkey to hide the actual numbers of losses.

Morning came, but social networks in Turkey did not Wake up. WhatsApp also works intermittently

The States have already reacted and oriented themselves, calling on trump to "prevent the killing of civilians" by Syrian troops by imposing a no-fly zone over Idlib. This proposal was made in the Senate by Republican Lindsey Graham.

Turkish defense Minister Hulusi Akar arrived in the province of Hatay, which borders Syria, where he visited the headquarters of the tactical command.
Конфликт в Идлибе: заявление Минобороны России

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has played his long-standing blackmail card: he opened the gates to refugees and migrants to Greece and Europe.Turkish television channels have been broadcasting footage showing Syrian refugees and migrants from other countries walking towards Greece and Europe, after the Turkish Gendarmerie opened the Syrian gates in the night from Thursday to Friday.

The videos allegedly show two groups of Syrian refugees on their alleged way to Europe: one group in north-western Turkey, walking to the Evros land border with Greece. Another group is apparently in the Avalik area on the west coast in an effort to reach the island of Lesvos.

It seems that that the ‘refugees’ are not only from Syria but also from Iran and Afghanistan and migrants from African countries, like Morocco

Turkish officials said last night that they would allow Syrian refugees free passage to Europe, after 33 soldiers were killed and many were injured in Idlib following an air raid.

Turkish officials said at least 33 of its military personnel were killed in the attack on Thursday night, and more than 30 others injured. Military sources among moderate and jihadist rebel factions fighting in the north-western province bordering Turkey said the deaths followed a precision strike on a two-storey building in the village of Balioun

It looks like Erdogan doesn't want to give up his hold of Northwestern Syria around Idlib and Aleppo and by all accounts is protecting the jihadists and 'rebel groups' in Idlib. He seems pretty adamant on staying and annexing parts of Syria despite coming to an agreement with Putin in Sochi to uphold Syrian territorial integrity and sovereignty. I've read some articles stating Turkey is already developing infrastructure in the parts of Syria they are in control of and they are even willing to come to blows with Syria and possibly even Russia?! This seems like a potential powder keg situation and luckily the Russians have a cool head because Erdogan is a fractious leader that jumps ship from one ally and situation to the next. Here he is discussing expansion of Turkish territory which is a delusional proposition considering how volatile things are in the Middle East.

Erdogan may soon discover - he made some very grievous miscalculations? Legally and by approval by both, Assad and the Syrian Government, Putin is in the driver's seat and is not going to step aside and back down for Erdogan! Erdogan has no legal Authority to be on Syrian territory - militarily. He knowingly placed his proxy Troops on a suicide Mission towards a direct confrontation with Syrian Troops, so he could use the cannon-folder as an excuse to forge ahead and push the Syrian Arab Army and Russian Troops out of Idlib.

Erdogan hit over 200 known targets with aircraft, drones and artillery. Syrian military sustained a heavy loss in armor vehicles, tanks and the destruction of 5 helicopters and 2 air defense systems. If Putin didn't have "a cool head" - Erdogan would look like Swiss Cheese right now and his proxies would have been blasted back to the Stone Age!

Putin and Assad will drive Erdogan and his proxies to the Syrian-Turkish Border and then secure and close it off. No need for a Ceasefire or no-fly-zone. Then the EU, UK, US, Germany and France will be forced to get their own Troop's out.

Then the mechanism of consultations and retaliation is deployed. NATO are itching to justify their existence. Trump says he wants his troops out (yea right). as an excuse to get NATO more involved. After all it occupies Europe. Why not extend that occupation a bit further.

Hopefully, Lavrov's reminder on the nature of NATO's existence will wake up a few European leaders to the folly of giving them a justification to proceed. It appears obvious Turkey is trying to drag in Western powers, either through massive bribes from U.S., or his own play for power. That this is playing out on 3rd party territory gives the upper hand, legally, to RUSSIA and SYRIA. Will anyone care.??

A significant development took place in Syria on Friday. A Russian attack on a Turkish convoy in Idlib in north-west Syria killed 36 Turkish soldiers and officers. In retaliation, Turkey launched an unprecedented armed drone attack..//..Russia ceased air support for Syria and its allies demanded from Russia an explanation for the lack of coordination of its unilateral stoppage of air support, allowing the Turkish drones to kill so many Syrian Army and allied forces. What happened, why, and what will be the consequences?

Syrian army recaptures Saraqib from militants (PHOTO, VIDEO 18+)

The news is updated
02.03.2020-13: 18
The Syrian Arab army (SAA) announced the entrance to Saraqib (Idlib province), which government forces lost control of last week.

Currently, fighters of the Assad army continue to sweep the city's neighborhoods from the few remaining militants.

Syrian media reports that the militants of Hayat Tahrir al-sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra*) not only lost control of a strategically important area that gives access to the M5 highway (linking Damascus and Aleppo via HOMS and Hama), but also suffered losses in manpower (dozens of bandit fighters were killed) and equipment (several tanks and BMP were destroyed, and two more Turkish air force combat drones were shot down).

Strikes on the positions of the militants were carried out by Syrian aircraft and artillery. However, part of the M5 North of Saraqib is still under the control of Hayat Tahrir al-sham.

I think it's important to remember, President Assad approached Russia/President Putin to help the Syrian Arab Army to fight and eliminate the terrorists and foreign proxy elements (U.S., U.K., Israeli, France, Turkish, Saudi's) from Syrian territory. To my understanding, that is Russia's primary directive in Syria. It's not Russia's position or intent, by it's own mandated Constitutional Law's and principles, and within International Protocols to enter into a direct conflict with another Country sponsoring proxy Army's inside Syrian territory. The main objective is to push back and/or eliminate the threat that is forcefully destroying infrastructure and subjecting it's citizen's to undue torture and suffering, even death.

Without being personally involved or having a direct connection to the military and field operations, we can only rely on reports. If Russia did pull back from offering Air Support, there may have been "just cause" under a number of reason's. There's no way of us knowing that with any certainty? What is obvious, with supporting evidence - Erdogan has gone "Helter-Skelter" and using every means at his disposal to force Syria from regaining control and occupation of Idlib. Erdogan's claims and proclamations that Idlib is Turkish territory and part of the Ottoman Empire has no Legal grounds and is only being used as a lame excuse for personal gain, in a power-play. There is a reason why the Ottoman Empire no longer exists and Erdogan's ambitions and ruthless behavior may be part of the mind-set that brought that Empire down on it's knee's?

There is one issue that needs to be considered in the over all picture of this situation and it rests on the Syrian Government, the Military and it's Presidency ... they waited until they lost complete control of the terrorist situation inside Syria, before asking for help? When Russia entered Syrian territory, the terrorists had full rein and the Syrian Government was on the verge of being toppled. It's through Russian intervention, along with Diplomatic efforts and supervision, that Syria has remained "intact" with a functioning Government. Idlib is the last remaining stronghold to be freed of terrorist in this Military operation and then the focus will be centered on the Golan Heights and the Israeli illegal occupation. As it stands now, the Syrian Arab Forces may need to take on a stronger position in addressing Erdogan and his ambitions. The real War, at it core, is between the Syrian Government and the terroristic elements trying to dominate it. Russia is the intermediary and subjected to it's own Constitutional Laws and Mandates. Erdogan is trying to force a private war, within an existing War Zone for his own personal benefit and profit. Russia doesn't take lightly - dirty tricks! Either way, Erdogan will suffer a humiliating defeat. The odds are against him.

Turkey shot down another (the third in two days) plane of the Syrian air force in the sky over the province of Idlib.

The Turkish defense Ministry has already reported on the Downing of the L-39 aircraft as part of operation Spring shield.

The loss of the plane has already been recognized in the SAR, calling the incident "an attack by terrorist forces of the Turkish regime on a Syrian military aircraft during an operation against terrorists."

Sources say that the pilot managed to eject, started his search in the place of the alleged landing. The downed plane crashed near the city of Maarat an-Numan (South-East of Idlib province).
МОЛНИЯ: Турция сбила самолёт Армии Сирии в Идлибе (ФОТО)

So far, everything is going the same way. And it will go at least until the meeting between Putin and Erdogan.
Only the behavior of the Syrian air force and air defense is not clear. The l-39 is really an ancient aircraft that does not have modern protection systems against MANPADS or air-to-air missiles, so why drive it to where it will be shot like a partridge.
Recently, Syria announced the closure of the airspace over Idlib. If this is stated, then it is necessary to do it, and this requires appropriate resources. If it is not possible to ensure compliance, then why declare?
Syrians, in fact, are still those warriors. Some time ago, the Israelis showed us how the Syrians managed to substitute their discharged "Панцирь C1" under a missile, with which it had to manage, if he was in a combat position.
