Seemingly Stuck

Good luck, BrightLight11. It'll take you a while to get all the reading done, but I assure you it will be worth it when followed through with the dietary changes. As was mentioned you can start immediately by eliminating all grains, dairy, sugar, and legumes. The benefits will be great and get you closer to the full transition to an optimal diet. :)

Actually, for someone with your diet, it's usually wiser to eliminate one thing at a time so you don't set yourself up to fail. For instance, you could remove all grains (gluten, rice, etc.) first, then in a few weeks, eliminate dairy, then in a month or so, eliminate sugar - to try to do it all at once is usually too much for most people.

Very important point, anart. I didn't mean to imply doing it all at once, but I meant before all the reading to know how to lower carbs and transition to a ketogenic diet. The way you laid it out is really good, as it eliminates one poison at a time (and the worst ones first).

As I do take all advice given on this forum seriously, I do contemplate it. After spending a few hours over in the health and diet threads, it became obvious to me that I would have to start out a bit slower than what had been suggested. I'm not for the 2 steps forward, 1 step back regimen! ;D I also spent the rest of the evening conversing with my partner (same diet) and we have come up with a plan of 'attack'.
I DO understand the sense of 'hurry' from some of the members, as they have done their research and they know how TERRIBLY dangerous most of the foods are. :D I know they just want to help. Thank you again for your time and suggestions... :cool2:

Sounds like a good approach and good emotional stance to a complete dietary alteration! When you're able to finish the reading, I'm sure you will succeed :)

Good luck! :cool2:
