Session 24 January 2026

With AI as a subject, everything is emotion, and not just with AI. Netflix series, video games, TV news, and programs where people criticize and insult each other (there are many on Spanish TV; they're called trash programs), large gatherings to watch games, soccer, etc. Advertisements, politicians' speeches—everything in this system is a black hole where emotions pile up, where emptiness reigns. AI can be effective at providing factual information. But apart from that... no. On YouTube, that's all there is: social engineering to get people to adhere to this new religion, AI. And thousands of videos made with AI. We are emotional beings; it's in our nature. So, we need to learn—and we're already there—to discern what is true from what is false at all levels. It is a work of discernment.

Thank you for the session. It was really good to see all of you and see the good energy of Laura.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive aka BTO, probably retired now. The Cs quoted their song in an earlier session for the same reason: We ain't seen nothing yet.
Interesting anecdote... the song "You ain't seen nothing yet" by BTO, aside from being a great R&R song, was well known for the distinct stuttering style in some of the melody lines. Randy Bachman's brother Gary talked with a stutter, and the song was originally recorded as a joke and meant only for him to hear.

When it came time to release the band's 3rd studio album - Not Fragile - the producers thought it was missing a hit single. So, Randy Bachman suggested including this joke song on the album and tried rerecording the vocals without the stutter, but in the end everyone preferred it the original way, and so it was left in the final mix.

You can listen to the song on Youtube here...

As for the question what synthesized music and/or instruments might be, see here what AI says:

An electric guitar is not inherently a synthesizer, as it produces sound through physical string vibrations, not electronic generation. However, it functions as a controller that can be used with processors (pedals/software) to synthesize sounds, effectively turning it into a guitar synthesizer.
  • Difference in Sound Generation:Synthesizers create sound via electronic signals, while electric guitars create sound by vibrating strings over magnetic pickups.
  • How it Becomes a Synth: By using specific hardware (like the BOSS SY-300) or software, the guitar signal can be processed into synth-like sounds.
  • Effects Pedals: Using fuzz, distortion, or specialized pedals can make an electric guitar produce sounds similar to synthesizers, although it is not a "synth" on its own.
  • Specialized Equipment: Dedicated guitar synthesizers exist that use special sensors to convert string signals into MIDI data, allowing the guitar to trigger traditional synthesizer sounds.
In essence, an electric guitar is an oscillator that can be, but is not, a synthesizer.

Note that AI gives a pretty clear definition of what a synthesizer is and what not. So I think an electric guitar is not such a thing even if you go into overdrive/distortion as long as you don’t run the signal for example through a pedal or software. That would also be in accordance to what the C‘s said about amplified music by the way, which is, if I understood correctly, pretty much the same thing as amplifying and overdriving the electric guitar which in extreme amounts leads to distortion.

What the C‘s there suggested is basically in accordance to how I always felt in large parts about most if not all artificial music. I like a wide range of music but artificial stuff I always felt more of a dislike towards I think.

I would like to explicitly note some of my hopefully correct assumptions and presumptions that things that contain instruments like electric guitars in it are ok IMO. And no, I’m not forcing a specific outcome here to be true at all  .

And by the way, I always felt [(and ever increasingly so as I delved into playing the guitar (mostly acoustic)] that the most important and interesting things in music for me is actually almost always a peculiar and amazing type of “instrument“: the human voice. A song can be as good as it gets but when it lacks the human voice at least in parts of it, IMO it almost always is lacking an important component of the whole assemble.

Thanks for the session!

Regarding the electronic music discussion, the way I understood the Cs is that what they mean is not so much about "good vs. bad music" or more esoteric concepts like "raising FRV" or "uplifting" vs. "spiritually degrading" etc., but more about a straight-forward biological effect: synthesized/electronically created music has a negative impact on the body's health, independent of the music's quality (they said electronic music can be "lovely" etc., yet the health impact still exists).

So I would somewhat separate the discussion about musical taste, what constitutes beautiful music and so on from this more straight-forward health effect.

Then there's the additional issue with AI music, which given the discussion about AI videos is again that a) since it's electronically created by "probability mixing and mashing" of existing songs, although technically different from synthesizer-based music, still falls in the same category with its harmful health effects and b) I suppose especially with AI-created vocals, it can lead to "bonding" with a person (the "singer") that isn't real, and therefore fuel the "pipeline into nothingness" of emotional energy, similar to AI videos.

Again, these are interesting aspects that are somewhat independent of the "good music vs. bad music" discussion, i.e. lyrics, melodies, harmonies etc. For example, you could play techno on natural instruments, and people have done it, or you can play Beethoven on synthesizers, which people have also done, or there's house music that uses only samples of real instruments...

Thanks to Cs, Laura and all the team
lots to reflect on !!!

-always had a hunch about electronic music !

glad I play music in a tradition that uses real accoustic instruments and voice 🍀

Thanks for the very interesting session and for the many questions that got asked.

Q: (Niall) Did left-wing anarchists really cause the power blackout in Berlin in early January and the one back in early September?

A: Yes and yes.
Very interesting and thank you for asking. As I remember also an inner city speed train (the track itself) got disabled in Berlin some days after. They now can be called real terrorists imo.

(Joe) Okay. How likely is it that European countries will turn back towards Russia for energy supply?

A: Eventually. And probably sooner than you might think.

There comes the gas storage in Germany to my mind. But who knows, what will be happening, must then be a 180 degree turnaround after bad mouthing Russia for years.

And unfortunately no more wild rave parties, I never attended 😉.

A: Mismanagement. Socialism only works within a strong capitalist framework.

__________
Exactly!
Even Marx knew it.
He posited capitalism is a necessary step for the "evolution" towards socialism.
He expected it to be first applied in industrial countries like England, France, or Germany.
He would never expect it to occur (in full swing) in countries like the Tsarist Agrarian Russia or Mozambique!

How can we share if there is nothing to share in the first place?
Despite Maduro's rightful opposition to USA and his possible best intentions, he gave ground to his enemy by crippling the country's economy. I currently live in Brazil and droves of Venezuelans went to Brazil like crazy!
In my personal experiences, the notion that he is only hated by high middle-class doesn't hold much water. I know SEVERAL simple Venezuelan Ifood delivers and none painted a positive picture of Maduro, though no one either was sympathetic to USA, and a few ones did like Chavez.

Throughout 20th century socialism hijacked several countries' independence movements and, paradoxically, at first helped third world countries anticipation to then just make a mess out of them and cause them to be no strong opposition to their former rulers.

Ho Chi Minh once stated he was motivated by nationalism, not socialism. He adopted it out of despair, for neither USA or France approved of Vietnam's independence, it's only ally was Soviet Union.

China's Chiang Kai Shek wasn't any good, but had he won the civil war, China surely would had become in 60's what it became in the 90's and 2000's. A viable counterbalence to USA and Soviet Union, right in the middle of the Cold War!

During Cold War, the only (sort of) significant non-aligned nations were Indonesia and India. And even they were hurt by socialism and because their governments were socialism-leaning, though nowhere close to Mao's.

Thanks again for sharing this. It is really wild out there now. But we are forwarned.

We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.
I do feel admonished in my idleness.
(Joe) Can I ask just some yes or no questions on more like on a political topic before you get into that? What is the likely outcome of a new US-Israeli attack on Iran?

A: Not good for Israel.
Yes, I am still agnostic about Trumfs play here. 2d neanderthal or 5d geopolitic genius. He really cant stand the demonic Netanyahu. I think it is valuble to pay attention to his wording. Seems like Iran will treat an attack from USA as coming from Israel/USA and will most likely fire at both with full force at once. Given the theater last year between US and Iran it looks like they are in a kind of back-channel dialog.

Politico: Tehran would consider U.S. military facilities and Israel “legitimate targets” if it detects signs of an impending attack, Iran’s parliamentary speaker warned.

I have struggled to remain objective concerning Trump and his actions. The confirmation that he was aware of the assassination attempt on President Putin is damning to say the least. Thank the DCM that I'm not the one in charge, as my response would not be pleasant or wise.
But he could also warned Putin and Russia about his awarness.

A: Electronic music is antihuman.
During my sons upringing I always had a strick rule. NO music with auto-tune vocals. My instinct told me it sucked the soul out of it.

Thanks again and may the DCM bless you all.

Thank you, very intresting session, I'm in a bit of quandry from this session. During my meditation while listening to electronic music that helps me get into meditation, I saw a symbol that duplicated into thousands of the same that changed into a large downward spiriling vortex. Based on this session, I'm left wondering if what I was seeing was the blackhole as described in this session caused by the electronic music?

Intrestingly in comparison, a friend has been doing sound baths with those little bowls and people have had out of body experinces while meditating. So perhaps now I need to learn to meditate without music, which is going to be a challenge.
