For many people, such as myself, milk is definitely evil. Any dairy products, and I get a rash. There is also more to milk that just its material existence, including production quality (raw, organic, conventional). According to the C's, there is also its 'informational' content.
In the recent session, milk was discussed at length. For some, there are benefits to drinking milk, but only for some people, for very short periods of time, based on genetic capability. I think any recommendation to drink milk should be objective, stating a nuanced approach, not a blanket recommendation, even of organic dairy products.
I would like give some comments about milk.
Some cows gets hormones. Modern cows are different than oldschool cows, they live shorter and give much more milk yearly, than pevious generation. Goat milk and buffalo milk is considered as the best one. But it's not cheap and easy accesible.
Milk is a source of carbohydrates that are related with cancer grow.
Milk and milk products are rich in B vitamins. For some people milk could be cheap source of B vitamins.
Benefit bacteria in our gut also produce vitamins that are hard to find in modern food.
Many people in Asia has genetic lactose intolerance that don't allow theme to digest milk.
Fresh unferment milk is ussually hard to digest. Especially for people with weak gut microbiota. For those people yogurt is best option. And you don't have to eat big amount of yogurt to see benefit of good bacteria.
I have allergy for organic eggs, probably becouse chickens are feed with grains. If cows are feed with garins I also have problems with this kind of milk.
Milk like many animal products contains hormones. Men an women have differen hormone balance. Mens need many hormons from meat, women could use homones from plants.
In old times milk was cheap source of B vitamiins, ADEK vitamins, potasium, calcium, and was alternative for candies that are cheap nowadays.
It's hard to buy raw milk from cow rich with bacterias, nowadays. But yogurt is easy accesible.
I read somewhere that lactobacillus acidophilus is very importan in preventing Helicobacter pylor.
In many slavic countries sour milk/curd was source of longevity befor yogurt was invented. I'm not fan of sour milk because yeast cultures.
Conclusion: Milk is not best type of food, but if you don't have anything else, and YOU ARE DESPERTED, it's cheap source of vitamins, calcium, prebiotic, and easy to process animal based proteins.
PS. Most ice creams in the market are not healthy and you should avoid them.
