17 December, heave snowfall at Rânca, Romania
On Dec. 14, several telescopes operating in the framework of the MIDAS Project (Moon Impacts Detection and Analysis System) recorded a bright flash on the lunar surface. The event was spotted on the non-illuminated region (night side) of the lunar disk at 22:02 universal time. This flash was produced by a rock that hit the Moon at high speed. That rock belonged to the Geminid meteoroid stream, the meteoroid stream that gives rise to the Geminid meteor shower on Earth. The rock was completely vaporized during this impact, and a new crater was produced.

Right now I spoke to Professor Glen Olson of the Audubon organization in Houston, Texas. He saw the video and it gives us the relief of knowing that the birds are
1. healthy
2. migrating normally from North to South.
3. They are social birds and have chosen a wide place to plan their migration in detail.
