Sott.net "Black-listed" as Kremlin Propaganda according to the Washington Post

Paul Craig Roberts responds to being listed on the PropOrNot list with a letter to Putin. Mr. Roberts is a new find for me and I'm enjoying his straightforward, truthful explanations about whats happening these days (and past).

Paul Craig Roberts (born April 3, 1939) is an American economist, journalist, blogger and former civil servant.

He reached the height of his government career when he became the United States Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy under President Reagan in 1981

First natural news accused google of blacklisting of them . https://www.sott.net/article/343432-Google-blacklists-Natural-News-removes-140000-pages-from-its-index
Now southfront accusing Wikipedia of attack

Now, I tried to login southfront, I am getting error from browsers saying the southfront certificate is secure. google or mozilla is not allowing to go to the website, while safari gives the message and allow to go to Website. This is the message I get from chrome

southfront.org normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to southfront.org this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be southfront.org, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit southfront.org right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.
I am not sure whether PTB started attacking the so called list of alternate websites or simple mistake from southfront webmasters, I am not sure.

To day, southfront opened OK for me. Google restores natural news came to back to normal state.

Apparently there are attempts to totally censor Southfront. The information war is ramping up!

You may try web browsers like Duck Duck Go, Startpage, Yacy, or Yippy if future blacklists occur. Duck Duck Go brought up Natural News when google had it blocked.

So, there was a large backlash to google over removing Natural health news? The article on Sott says little about this. I stopped using goggle immediately after this happened. I'm surprised Google reinstated the site. It all seems a bit fishy. Did Google receive the message of "we don't need you" ?

I've been happily using duckduckgo as my default search engine for a couple of months now. Get it and install it; you'll be glad you did.

No doubt Google noticed when a chunk of its search traffic went elsewhere right after the news broke that it had started completely blocking Natural News. One hopes it has lost much of that traffic forever. I've been using Startpage for years because it uses multiple engines and hides users' IP addresses.

All the big tech-giants and smaller 'fake news checker' blogs seem to be spending all their credibility at a very fast rate. Not sure how they see it, but besides google, all sites related to that side 'reality split' seems to losing their built up customers and trust.

Yet more sets for 'narrative wars' are showing that the 'battlefield' of the 'dueling over narratives' will
become 'littered' with the remnants of 'former history'. The 'litter', and 'debris' is described as being
'cohesive' but 'wrong understanding' of 'history' and 'reality' that will be 'tearing at academia'. The data
shows the 'reality' goes into 'tailspin' as a result of 'releasing of information'.

Thanks for your recommendations about those different search engines, really helpful. I just installed Duckduckgo and SuperStart and am glad of those alternatives, more privacy friendly too.

Thanks Laura and everyone's input. I'll try duckduckgo. I switched to Startpage/Ixquick because of the privacy claims but I read somewhere this one is limited in its search function.

Thank you for the DuckDuckGo info! It's really welcome. Their AUDIO search mode is absolutely cool!

I installed duckduckgo and was using it. This is pretty good. chrome and with its speed without google.

I've been using duckduckgo for a few years, and the privacy (doesn't even install any cookies) and getting around censorship shenanigans is definitely worth it .

I just tried it again recently, and it's much better than it used to be!

One little catch: If you want max privacy, don't search from the Chrome or Firefox search bar.

Searching directly from their web site is less revealing. See my blog post about GET vs POST requests with DuckDuckGo:

Search like a pro with DuckDuckGo: Better privacy + great search results

In short, if you search from your browser search bar with DuckDuckGo, the first search you do will use a GET request, which reveals your search terms even with HTTPS. Subsequent searches from their web site will change to POST requests and hide your search terms from the NSA + universe.

In any case, you should still change the settings to use POST requests... See the link above for what options to change (with screenshots)!
