Stories of Covid vaccination side effects or worse

My father has been taken the shots every time and got his 6th shot in October along with the yearly flu shot of which he has had like 17 or 18. He felt that they hadn't done him any harm and then went along with what doesn't kill you makes you strong.

Well until today. This morning he fell and it turned out he had two big blot clots, one in the neck and one in left side of the brain whic meant he got paralyzed on the left side and also was unable to speak. He was rushed to the hospital and they managed to clear the blot clots and also put a stent in. He was also put on blood thinners to ensure that blood flowed to the brain even though it carries the risk of a brain hemorrage. Having a lack of oxygen to the brain for well over 3 hours means that he suffered brain damage. During the scan they also discovered that he has a heart flutter, which they suspected had been there for some time.

My father is 89 years old and has always had a strong constitution. The days before, he had been out with the chainsaw cutting trees which had fallen recently, so despite his age he was still very strong. Anyway, I put it here knowing full well that it might not have been due to the shots but at the same time, they most likely haven't done anything to prolong his life. Tomorrow is another scan and then we will see what direction it will take.
I am so sorry Aeneas, I hope your father will not suffer and that the medical staff will take good care of him.

I had Covid in 2021 and was in the hospital for several days. I did not get vaccinated because there were many side effects. In Russia, there was mainly a vaccine called "Sputnik". I know many who were vaccinated and everyone is still alive and well. At least this vaccine is quite harmless.

Regarding the disease itself - I was sick for about a month and when I started to recover, I began to feel much better than before the illness. For example, my high blood pressure completely disappeared and always became 110/70, and before that it was 180/120. In general, my general health has improved significantly. I don’t know what this can be associated with. Basically, everyone has some kind of deterioration

People in the UK, are you noticing a lot of illness and sickness around you at this moment in time? We are awash with people with all sorts of illnesses round where I am plus at work.
I had a rotten cold for about 10 days recently, unusual for me as its normally 3 days in, 3 days out...but in my community I am hearing of a lot of people who are laid up in bed with very severe cold/flu symptoms. I notice it a lot as we have had quite a few cancellations for Christmas parties in the pub where I work. My neighbour, a hospice nurse, has been ill for 3 weeks now. Her husband called the ambulance for her late in the night 2 days ago...she had been coughing so much she was bringing up blood. I know she's had every booster as she had cancer some years ago and her Dr recommends it because of low immunity!! So yes, lots of illness, quite a few stories of sudden aggressive cancers and heart problems.

Lots of infections circulating in my store. There are 60 of us in my department and things just keep getting passed around. I am in the middle of some virus or other which has left me with a bad cough. At least I will hopefully get rid of it before Christmas. Mine is just a seasonal cold, cough but quite a few people have been very ill.

I’m sorry to hear about your father, @Aeneas. He sounds like he has been quite robust until now, in spite of his age. Whatever is to be, I wish him a peaceful transition if it is his time, and strength to you for the days ahead. It’s not easy watching our loved ones suffer. :hug2:

Ditto. I'm sorry to hear about your father Aeneas. As you say, it could be due to age but certainly the vaccines didn't help. I wish you lots of strength in this time, hoping for the best possible outcome for your father. :hug2:
