Strange scratches on body after sleep?!?

The Force is Strong With This One
Hello. I'm new around these parts, but I think this is the correct forum for it. If not, I apologize.

These scratches aren't on me - it's from a buddy of mine. He's never had anything like it before.

A little backstory: I've been into this stuff for a while now - "the work" or esoteric stuff - Im not sure what to call it. My friend was a little interested here and there, but it wasn't until I introduced him to reiki that he really picked up on it all, and started reading on his own, etc.

No less than a week later after he gets into this stuff, he has these scratches on his back. He assures me its not any pets, and he doesn't have any nails to scratch himself. I remember a few stories from some of Laura's work of stuff like this. But has anyone seen anything like this or could offer any insight as to what it might be? He actually had more scratches on his arm, but the most noticable/telling ones are these.

Also, I tried to see if I need a certain amount of posts before I can post images. I hope this works.

Is it cut skin? Or something like a rash??? Are you familiar with Karla Turner's work??? You may find some similar cases there.

Take care of yourself !! :)

EDIT: Let me remark that I'm just pointing to Karla's work because I remember there was a very similar case in "Into the Fringe". Not to suggests that is the same thing happening here, but since you posted on the "Our Haunted Planet" zone, I find it's OK to point into that direction. SO are you familiar with her work????

It doesn't look like the skin was actually broken, and he didn't mention any bleeding. It doesn't seem to be a rash. The weirdest part to me is the 3 scratches that kind of overlap.

I've heard the name Karla Turner, but only from Laura's works. I'll look up some stuff and see what I can find.

Why is that?? Does it make you think in something in particular??? Why would you say that is weird? Besides the fact that the scratches have no explanation yet, why would you pick that feature of the injures as the "weirdest part"?

Well, every part about it is the weirdest part. Weirdest might not be the right term. It's the part that stood out the most to me, for whatever reason. I've been scratched by all kinds of objects and animals and i've never had scratches that resemble that type of action.

There really is not enough information in this example to make any sort of determination about the cause. It is entirely possible to get scratches and not be aware of when and exactly how. The higher probability is that they are due to some entirely natural cause.

AdonRy, it's my case too.

Karla wrote in "Into the Fringe":

"It seemed like a puzzle to be solved, yet the clues were so ephemeral, only punctures, bruises, scratches that seemed to come from nowhere, caused no discomfort, and healed with remarkable speed."

"The numerous scratches, however, healed quickly and without infection, as did all of our unexplained body marks."

"The next day, November third, the phone rang again just before noon, and when I picked it up there was nobody on the line. In fact, there was no sound at all, no background static, just absolute blank silence. Fearful that I might hear the strange voice from the night before, however, I wouldn't listen, yet I couldn't bring myself to hang up. Putting the receiver down on the cabinet, I walked away, wondering what I should do."

"A few days later, David called in the middle of the morning to tell me there were new marks on his body, and I asked him to come by for us to examine them. When he arrived and showed us the numerous long scratches and welts that covered his right thigh, I was shocked. All any of us had previously experienced were a few punctures and single scratches, but David's leg looked mauled. Several of the scratches formed inverted V-shaped patterns on the front of his thigh, and along the outside there were almost a dozen red welts running from the top of the thigh down to just above his knee. A bloody, curving scratch stretched along the hip, with a deep puncture between it and the welts below."

I got about ten calls four years ago when I actively began to be interested in Cass information and then, sometimes and now, I have such scratches; with one difference: I have no fear, especially it doesn't surprise me.

Probably it influences somehow our life but meanwhile I didn't systematize cause and effect; it can be night activity of the body, forgotten cases of cuts and our little "friends" with their bad "pockets" too.

Thanks for sharing. I'll have my friend read this and see if he can relate to any of it. He didn't say he was afraid, but he did use the term "freaked out." Maybe it'll inspire him to read some of Karla's work and make some kind of connection. I know for me, I was 'nudged' into the direction of reiki, through dreams and what not. Maybe he's being "nudged" into a different direction. Or maybe he rubbed a rose bush on his back in his sleep. Who knows. I'm just glad its not me.

I understand what you're saying with the probabilities. and its not like he woke up and started shouting "aliens are attacking me!" He told me about it over the phone after it happened and I thought he was kidding. Then when he showed me, and we started talking about the situation - nail biter, no pets, no kids, doesn't sleep in a rose garden, never had this happen before and the timing of it. Had one of those options even slightly sound like it could have caused it, I probably wouldn't have posted this. But I figured i'd post the pics on here and see if anyone can relate.

Actually, since its "no harm, no foul," i'm kinda hoping it happens to him again. I think a bigger body of evidence might help.

You know, I was waiting for someone to post a case like this on the forum!
If it does happen again please let us know, and also in the book "Taken" by Karla Turner, you can find a lot of symptoms related to possible abduction scenarios, you can see if you and your friend have more similarities.

Take care!

did the person go to see a doctor? Are they physical scratches, or they just look like? It could be anything, even some allergic reaction or some insects. Maybe a reaction to reiki? Who knows? There are no definitive explanations, only hypotheses.

Hi AdonRy,

you can find more about Karla Turner here http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,1558.0.html

another possibility that comes to my mind is that it might be a pysical reaction from his body to what he has read and become aware of , something like a mind made thing (I think there is a word fur such things, but right now I'm not remembering the word)

LOL! I was hoping no one would judge me for saying that it hoped it would happen to him again! I'm glad i'm not alone here. I mean, its in the name of science! He's supposed to come over today, so i'll see if he has any other info he can share.

@mkrnhr - he didn't go to a dr, i dont think he has any intentions on going. They don't seem "serious" or life threatening. He's been practicing reiki on himself, and i've done it on him a few times, so it doesn't seem to be a reaction to the reiki. It could be an insect or a reaction to an insect, but it would mean this particular species waited 23 years to bite him, or for him to have an allergic reaction to it. I agree with you, based on the limited evidence there's no definitive explanations. He hasn't gotten into the Cass logs much, only reiki stuff and a little bit of Law of One, so he's not too familiar with alien abductions or physhic attacks or psychic defense even. Not that he's not interested, he just has been following the path of information as its made available to him. With that said, I hope he gets into Karla's works and can find some parallels (if its related).

@Pashalis - That's an interesting idea. I could see that. It almost reminds me of the story in the foward of the Law of One, where she (forget her name) went to get psychic surgery, and she saw blood and stuff even though there wasn't a physical incision. I know its not the same but it reminds me of it.

I don't know if this will help at all, but I had exactly one case of unexplained scratches, back when I was a teenager. No pets, kids, no fingernails (as I used to chew them) and they were sharp skinny scratches, not even like fingernail scratches (even if that were possible without finger nails.)

I woke up suddenly and my stomach skin was burning. So I went to the mirror sometime around 3am, and saw these red crisscross scratches in two places on my skin. They were still red even in the skin around it, as if it had just happened. No blood, but it did break the first couple of layers of skin, making scratches very much like in the pictures. Back then I didn't follow any diet, but couldn't imagine - even now, an allergic reaction of any type that look like scratches. (I also wasn't on any medications of any sort). It actually felt as though I had been slapped, with the skin burning that woke me up.

I went back to bed confused and in the morning, looked for sharp objects, maybe a nail that was sticking up somewhere around my sleeping area. Nothing explained it and I still don't know exactly what happened. I was also a pretty light sleeper, so to think I could grab something and cut myself doesn't make any since.

Not much to go on with just my story and I didn't hike in the forest or anything the day before or even a month before.

Thanks for sharing, as it brought back that memory.

Edit for: Spelling Error.

Thank YOU for sharing. Your description is dead on, especially with the thin scratches. The main difference is that this didn't wake him out of his sleep, he didn't realize until he got in the shower and felt the pain when the water hit it.

I did just get a little bit of new info, turns out that those pictures are from the 2nd time its happened within a week or so. I thought the scratches he was showing me on his back were the same scratches that he told me about over the phone earlier in the week. Obviously I wasn't paying much attention b/c I thought he was kidding. But the first time was on his arm, which has pretty much faded or I would have taken pictures of it as well. But they were exactly the same - long, thin scratches, not enough to draw blood but enough to leave these marks for a few days.

Dawn, were you into this stuff before you got the scratches? Or did the scratches eventually lead you in this direction?
