Scientists are usually naive when it comes to money. We all need money to live and work. However, they imagine to gain some Independence through any source of financing, and they often loose that Independence they were looking for in the first place. Even the most brillant minds (and so-called geniuses) cannot handle a temptation that lies in their blindspot, the ignorance of anything related with money and the human affairs in general.

Maybe that's part of what is going on here? Getting in a position to steal and patent the ideas of some of the scientists who have been roped in?

These emails remind me of the vocabulary and style of Nigerian scam artists. The English is readable, but often the sentences are put together with strange and unusual expressions.
When I read about the alleged channel from Cassiopaea in 1960 I immediately saw a red flag. If I remember right, in the C's transcripts, they report that they are currently sending through Cassiopaea because the current alignments are that way. But in the past they went through the Pleiades. And in the future through Leo. So in 1960, they would not have claimed Cassiopaea, right?
