Sheriff Lombardo in Las Vegas being sworn in for 2nd 4-year term
1:03 AM, Jan 05, 2019
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The sheriff in charge of the local investigation of the October 2017 Las Vegas Strip shooting that killed 58 people and injured hundreds is being sworn in to a second four-year term as the elected head of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo planned a Friday morning swearing-in ceremony at police headquarters.

Lombardo was re-elected over four other candidates in a June 2018 nonpartisan primary, drawing more than 50 percent of the vote to avoid a November runoff.

Clark County has 2.2 million residents and draws more than 40 million tourists a year.

The police department has more than 2,600 sworn officers and a $601 million budget.

It covers Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County except Boulder City, Henderson, Mesquite and North Las Vegas.

Here's something I wrote on the Las Vegas shooting, which I think brings everything we've gathered about it up to date. There's always more that could be included of course, but if anyone spots anything which I did include in it that they think might have since been discounted or ruled out, lemme know.

MGM might pay $800 million to settle lawsuits from Las Vegas shooting that killed 58 May 17, 2019
MGM might pay $800 million to settle lawsuits from Las Vegas shooting that killed 58

MGM Resorts said on Thursday it may pay as much as $800 million in liabilities tied to the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas that killed 58 people and injured more than 800.

The company, which owns Mandalay Bay, from which Stephen Paddock fired on a crowd of thousands, said in a regulatory filing that it "believes it is reasonably possible that a settlement will be reached" by next May and that it had $751 million in insurance to assist in paying settlements.

But Robert Eglet, a lawyer handling mediation talks for the plaintiffs, told The Associated Press it was premature for the company to report a settlement range of $735 million to $800 million.

"We're not even close to resolving all the terms and issues before we have a settlement," said Eglet, who added that he represents more than 4,000 claimants. "Nothing is signed. We have a long way to go before we have an agreement."

Eglet told the AP he reviewed the Securities and Exchange Commission that mentioned the settlement range on Thursday and that a resolution was possible within a year.

The plaintiffs, citing physical and psychological harm from the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, have alleged that MGM is liable because Stephen Paddock stockpiled an arsenal of weapons over several days in his two-room suite at Mandalay Bay.

Debra DeShong, a company spokesperson, told the AP progress has been made in reaching a resolution.

The goal, she said, is "to resolve these matters so that all impacted can move forward in their healing process."

Casino giant settles Vegas shooting lawsuits for up to $800m

October 03, 2019 - LAS VEGAS: Two years after a gunman rained gunfire on country music fans from a high-rise Las Vegas hotel, MGM Resorts International reached a settlement that could pay up to $800 million to families of the 58 people who died and hundreds of others who were injured, attorneys announced Thursday.

It’s a major step to resolve hundreds of lawsuits in multiple states that seek compensation for a range of physical and psychological injuries from the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

Victims say the casino giant failed to protect 22,000 people at a concert venue it owns or stop the shooter from spending several days amassing an arsenal of assault-style weapons and ammunition in his suite at the Mandalay Bay resort.

The amount of the settlement depends on the number of plaintiffs who take part, according to a statement from Las Vegas law firm Eglet Adams, which represents nearly 2,500 victims and made the announcement just days after the second anniversary of the Oct. 1, 2017, massacre.

“Our goal has always been to resolve these matters so our community and the victims and their families can move forward in the healing process,” said Jim Murren, chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts.

An independent administrator will be appointed by a court to dole out money from the settlement fund, attorneys and MGM said. They expect to wrap up the work by late next year.

MGM’s insurers will fund a minimum of $735 million. Depending on the number of victims who participate, the company will contribute more, up to $800 million, according to the victims’ attorneys.

“Today’s agreement marks a milestone in the recovery process for the victims of the horrifying events of 1 October,” Robert Eglet, a lead plaintiffs’ counsel, said in the statement. “While nothing will be able to bring back the lives lost or undo the horrors so many suffered on that day, this settlement will provide fair compensation for thousands of victims and their families.”

A country music festival became a killing ground when a 64-year-old retired accountant and high-stakes video poker player fired out the windows of his hotel room into the crowd.

Stephen Paddock killed himself as authorities closed in, and they found 23 assault-style weapons in his room, many equipped with bump stocks that allow firearms to fire rapidly like machine guns.

Police and the FBI found that Paddock meticulously planned the attack and theorized that he may have sought notoriety. But they said they never determined a clear motive.

As legal claims piled up, MGM drew outrage when it filed lawsuits last year against more than 1,900 victims, arguing it had no liability to survivors or families of slain victims under a federal law enacted after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Another attorney for victims is planning a news conference Thursday in San Diego.

On October 1, 2017, Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd of more than 20,000 concertgoers from his hotel room at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. In a matter of minutes, Paddock killed 58 people and wounded more than 400. It was the largest mass shooting in the history of the United States. Yet, just a couple of years later, Vegas seems to have forgotten it completely. In the aftermath of remarketing Las Vegas as a safe destination for tourists, many questionable practices were put into place—one of the most shocking being a lawsuit against the victims of this devastating tragedy. On top of that, despite the popular #VegasStrong movement and nationwide fundraising, there’s still a huge question of where all that money went. An enthralling documentary about the dark side of the Las Vegas economy, Money Machine exposes Sin City’s culpability in this country’s deadliest shooting.

Media SILENT After Bombshell Report Shows Evidence 2017 Las Vegas Massacre Was Carried Out by ISIS And Antifa

A new bombshell report provides evidence that the 2017 Las Vegas shooting was not the work of a “lone gunman” but was a terrorist attack perpetrated by two men with ties to ISIS and Antifa.
The “All Source Assessment,” entitled “Attack on the Route 91 Country Music Festival,” was prepared for Rich Higgins, a former Trump campaign advisor and member of Trump’s National Security Council.

While the report suggested that “attack was likely planned as well as logistically and financially coordinated entirely by Stephen Paddock,” it also found that Brian Hodge, the Australian man who claimed to have been staying in the room next to Paddock’s at the Mandalay Bay hotel when the attack took place, “is a reasonably suspicious person of interest and deserves a much greater level of scrutiny.”

Hodge had “possible ties to Islamic organizations and a possible [ISIS] linkage” as well as a “personal profile . . . more befitting of a left wing or Anti-Fascist Action (ANTIFA) affiliate,” the report claimed.

In the aftermath of the shooting, ISIS claimed that Paddock had converted to Islam and committed the massacre on its behalf.

“A soldier of the caliphate attacked a gathering of 22,000 Americans at a concert in the city of Las Vegas, resulting in nearly 60 killed and 600 injured,” ISIS reported in one of its online magazines.

The FBI, however, found no ISIS connection during its investigation.

“We have determined, to this point, no connection with an international terrorist group,” an FBI special agent said in an October 2017 statement.

According to CNN, the FBI closed its investigation into the mass shooting in January 2019 “without finding a clear motive for Paddock’s actions.”

Bombshell evidence prepared for a recently-deceased Trump National Security Council (NSC) official explicitly reports on multiple shooters carrying out the Las Vegas terrorist shooting of October 1, 2017. The report states that Stephen Paddock did not actually commit suicide but was executed by others, pointing to Antifa and ISIS involvement and FBI foreknowledge of the attack. The report also provides evidence that an ANTIFA group claimed responsibility for the shooting with the message: “One of our comrades from our Las Vegas branch has made these fascist Trump supporting dogs pay.” The following report was prepared for Rich Higgins, who served in the National Security Council strategic planning office in 2017. Higgins died of complications at a hospital at around 3 AM on February 23, 2022. The more than 50-page report is entitled “All Source Assessment: Attack on the Route 91 Country Music Festival October 1, 2017 Mandalay Bay Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada” and was prepared for Higgins shortly after he left the National Security Council.

1646717880642.png

According to the Rich Higgins Las Vegas document: “The report fuses open source information with tactical counter terrorism analysis, cyber intelligence, and digital data mining capabilities.” The report states: “Stephen Paddock may have anticipated the arrival of a fly in team of additional shooters that would assist in the operational execution.”

The report names an Australian man named Brian A. Hodge as a “person of interest” with “possible ties to Islamic organizations and a possible Islamic State (IS) linkage.” The report states that “Mr. Hodges’ personal profile is more befitting of a left wing or Anti-Fascist Action (ANTIFA) affiliate, but recent intelligence reports point to an increased level of collaboration between groups like Antifa and Islamic State.”

On page 45, the report states: “The FBI was closely monitoring Antifa operative engagements with Islamic State and Al Qaeda (Arabian Peninsula and Islamic Maghreb) personnel in Germany…the FBI has discovered a “level of chatter” between left wing revolutionary groups and Islamic terrorist groups.” It turns out, according to the report, that “Mr. Hodge traveled to Berlin, Paris, London, and back to Berlin approximately 2 weeks prior to the attack in Las Vegas.”

The Las Vegas official single-shooter narrative has been torn apart by recent evidence from Mindy Robinson’s “Route 91” documentary which shows that other 911 calls identified multiple shooters. There is a ton of evidence that there were clearly bodies in other locations and shooters in other locations. This reporter has been in communication with a group that created an open source intelligence virtual map of video evidence and incident reports from Vegas, which ranges in location all around the city, a very wide radius.

Sources have said that there was a shooting at an airport in connection to a possible assassination attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who may have been staying at the Mandalay Bay hotel then slipped into undercover civilian gear either to flee the premises or to gamble anonymously before he was forced to flee the premises in disguise. The top floors, 35 to 39, of the Mandalay Bay Hotel house the Four Seasons Las Vegas. On that night, the Four Seasons Las Vegas was owned by Bill Gates through the firm Cascade Investment and also Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, who was at odds with bin Salman. Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal was arrested by the Saudis for corruption on November 4, shortly after the shooting. President Donald Trump quietly dispatched a delegation to Saudi Arabia after the shooting. Left-wing billionaire George Soros’ Soros Fund Management “shorted” — meaning bet against — the stock price of Mandalay Bay’s MGM shortly before the shooting, and MGM owns the Mandalay Bay shooting site. MGM Grand CEO James Murren quietly dumped a lot of his personal MGM stock prior to the shooting.

Brian Hodge is a central figure in the Higgins Report on the shooting. The report explains how Hodge, born 1981 and linked to a bunch of addresses in West Hollywood, served a witness for the Australian press and claimed to be inside Stephen Paddock’s hotel suite in a different half of the suite. But Hodge also claimed on social media that he was “hiding in the bushes.” He said that there were “multiple shooters” including “one on my hotel room floor.”

On page 29, the Higgins Report states: “Further data mining of Mr. Hodge’s activity on the night of the attack reveals that while he was originally located at the Mandalay Bay and the surrounding Enterprise area, (he) departed downtown Las Vegas while publicly claiming to have been hiding in the bushes outside the Mandalay Bay. Mr. Hodge’s signatures reveal that he is located approximately 10 miles north of the Mandalay Bay hotel…”

On page 32, the report refers to Hodge’s statement that a security guard had been killed on his floor, which conflicts with the Official Narrative which holds that a security guard named Jesus Campos was shot repeatedly by Paddock but survived. The Higgins Report states: “How did Mr. Hodge know, only 3 hours after the attack, in advance of the public and most officials, that a security guard had been killed (actually shot and wounded) on the 32nd floor?”

According to the report, “Intelligence methods reveal that” during the frenzy Hodge stayed at Knotty Pine Motel in north Las Vegas in Room Number 17, a room that was associated with a man named German Torres Moreno, a Mexican national from the city of Penjamo, Mexico, in Guanajuato, Mexico, an area that is rife with ISIS recruiting.”

According to the report, Hodge communicated and interacted with people associated with various Muslim-oriented groups including “Travel to Medina,” with a front office in Brooklyn.

Hodge hails from Melbourne, Antifa and went back to Melbourne briefly in December, after the shooting, for about a day. Evidence shows that Melbourne ANTIFA took credit for the attack then deleted the message, with Melbourne Antifa stating: “One of our comrades from our Las Vegas branch has made these fascist Trump supporting dogs pay.”

ISIS also claimed responsibility, referring to Stephen Paddock as one of their operatives. Paddock, who was dating and living at the Mandalay Bay with a woman from Australia named Marilou Danley, who was in the Philipines when the shooting took place. An ISIS communication network said that Paddock had converted to Islam and ISIS granted him the Muslim name Abu Abdul Barr al-Amriki, as Newsweek reported.

According to Al-Naba, reportedly an ISIS magazine, ISIS stated: “A soldier of the caliphate attacked a gathering of 22,000 Americans at a concert in the city of Las Vegas, resulting in nearly 60 killed and 600 injured” and said “Brother Abu Abdul Bar stationed himself in a room on the 32nd floor of a hotel overlooking the concert and opened fire continuously on the crowds using 23 firearms and more than 2,000 bullets and died, may God accept him, after running out of ammunition.”

According to the Higgins Report: “Immediately following the attack, during the morning of October 2, Mr. Hodge appears in numerous Australian media reports including print, radio and television. Notably, he does not share the links to these radio and television interviews on any of his own social media outlets. This is highly suspicious behavior. Later in the day on October 2, Mr. Hodge departed Las Vegas and arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in New Mexico, Mr. Hodge appears to travel to the Anatolia Doner Kebab House…This restaurant address is affiliated with numerous other businesses in the Albuquerque area and is owned by a Mr. Mehmet Kokangul and Umit Kokangul. Mr. Mehmet Kokangul appears to be a Turkish National from Adana Turkey, a known center of Islamic State activity in Turkey.”

The case of the suspicious witness bears similarity to the case of Chris Mahony, a supposed car-crash eyewitness for CNN’s Wolf Blitzer at the Charlottesville scene. Mahony, as I revealed, turned out to have been an adviser for George Soros’ Open Society Initiative, a social friend of George Soros’ son Alexander, a press eyewitness to previous geopolitical activity in Sierra Leone, and a member of the socialist New Zealand Fabian Society, which uses a crest that portrays a wolf in sheep’s clothing, which is an expression used to signify infiltration of the innocent.

Rich Higgins was fired from the Trump National Security Council in 2017, prior to the Las Vegas attack, after he wrote a Political Warfare memo that got leaked in which Higgins identified the “Deep State” working against President Donald Trump. Higgins wrote in that memo: “In Maoist insurgence, the formation of a counter-state is essential to seizing State power.”

The “All Source Assessment” is a 51 page pdf document with pictures and diagrams.

On the date of January of this year, SOTT.net posted the Las Vegas shooting documentary by Mandy Robinson. Had noted it then, and a month later Ukraine happened and the documentary was pushed off to the side unviewed, but not forgotten. So, finally watched it.

The following recaps the session held back in 2017:

(L) Yeah, other people may be having other dreams like that, too. Okay, you want to ask about your Vegas thing, Joe? Do you have a clearly formulated series of questions that you're going to ask?

(Joe) Just one.

(L) Just one? Okay. [laughter]

(Joe) Was there more than one shooter?

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) Oh, well that leads to another question! [laughter] How many?

A: 3

Q: (Joe) How many were in the hotel room?

A: 2 {this corresponds to the witness Mindy brings up who shouted something like, look, two shootees in the window}

Q: (Joe) Did Paddock do any shooting, or was he dead already?

A: Dead {indeed}

Q: (Joe) There was a security guard who came up to the floor. Is that security guard, Jesus Campos, a legitimate security guard?

A: He is and is not

Q: (L) In other words, he was hired as a security guard, although he wasn't licensed?

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) But was he one of the conspirators?

A: No

Q: (Joe) Okay, so he's a useful idiot in a certain sense. And the drilling sound that he allegedly heard in the room, was that these shooters inside the room drilling in order to escape unseen?

A: Yes.

Q: (Artemis) Why do they sometimes write "Yes." and sometimes just move to "Yes" on the board?

(L) I dunno. Maybe it’s emphasis.

(Joe) What's the location of the third shooter? There were two in the room and one more shooter. Where was he, roughly?

A: Triangulated. {proves out by witnesses and basic observable forensics - not that they did any}

Q: (Joe) Okay.

(Niall) The other casinos on the strip...

(Joe) How many people were involved in this operation in total in terms of spotters and...?

A: 27 {yes, a wide field}

Q: (Niall) Did some of these other people shoot outside or at other casinos that had active shooters? {as was evident by reports from along the strip}

A: Yes

Q: (Niall) So that's a lot of people...

(L) There could have even been people in the crowd shooting.

(Joe) Well, no, they said there were three shooters. Well... Was the third triangulated shooter on the ground in the crowd, or was he further back?

A: Further back but on ground.

Q: (Joe) And of course the FBI and all these people are well aware of all of this, and they're just covering it up, right?

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) That FBI dude is such a creep.

(Pierre) And the third shooter was 270 yards from the crowd?

A: No

Q: (Pierre) Ah... How far?

A: 80 {this corresponds to witnesses, this level triangulation shooter. This shooter also seems to have taken direct head shots as indicated by witnesses}

Q: (Pierre) 80 yards. Wow...

(Niall) Fuel tank, right?

(Joe) We can triangulate it.

(Pierre) There was an acoustic analysis that said 270. {eleven busts plus the triangulated guy}

(L) The guy on the ground could have been using a silencer, too. Alright, now you guys have gone over your one question.

(Joe) Well, they keep answering... [laughter] So there were two shooters in the room. Was one of the guns up in the room a heavier caliber gun as we have surmised?

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) Alright. That's all. Done.

(L) Is that it? Any more questions on OTHER TOPICS?

(Joe) Why did they do it? Is this just one more, "Remind the people why they need us"?

A: Chaos.

Q: (Joe) They kinda seem to have left a lot of things... loose threads here. Is this...?

A: Chaos affects them too!

Q: (Joe) Psychos gone wild.

(Niall) Yeah. Is the death toll as officially reported accurate?

(L) What is the death toll?

(Niall) 59 plus 500+ wounded.

(Joe) 58 dead. {Mindy has it 58 killed as of 2022 - match}

A: Almost. {others were killed but not reported directly - or after the fact as is known; witnesses suddenly died}

Q: (L) So there might be one or two others that they're not talking about.

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) The Paddock guy, the patsy, he was alive when he came into the hotel. He was shot on the day of the shooting in the hotel?

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) And he just had a "mind job" done on him by agents of the...?

A: Yes

Q: (Joe) Okay. Thank you.

(L) Alright, I'm tired. Anything we need to know that we haven't asked?

A: Goodbye.

END OF SESSION

Mindy's documentary hits on a number of the direct references above. She brings up so many moving parts that one can easily get distracted. She shows the 3 helicopters transponders were off that hovered in at the Mandalay Bay at the commencement of shooting, that later took off as the Police helicopter makes its way there (also timed at the end of the shooting). Some speculated that shooting was coming from the helicopters, but more likely scouts - eyes, coordinators, and also to sow confusion later as surely they would be reported upon.

The rest, as was indicated in session - and the reality at the time on the ground, was a whole lot of chaos and abject suffering.

As for the cover-up of a crime scene that was near the whole inner Las Vegas core strip, the big boots used their sanitizing dragnet while the media broom swept it all into a pile and under the rug. People who were there said, everybody knows, we all knew that night and the next day and day after et cetera, however it is if it never happened. From top down, lies and omissions. Police, forced to sign NDAs. Cell phones swept up and scrubbed clean. Thousands of units and hours of direct Johnny on the spot CCTV, nothing. YouTube, delete delete. Fact Checkers by the score. Media, same old same old lone wolf story, nothing to see let's move along.

If the goal was to spread chaos, yeah it worked, they did all that.

The repeating crime scene message of an assassination such as JFK, a 9/11 or Mandalay Bay (and so much more), is that the whole world can watch it all, see with their own eyes, and the next day be convinced by a massive machine that what they saw was not what they saw. This machine is so beholden and bold-faced in their lies, they just don't even care.

At the documentary end (and I don't generally keep track of these things 5 years post), was a follow-up on the local players in the game; judges, chief of police, governor and many more who were already, or became so corrupted and naked that it boggles the mind, and yet not unexpected. Again, they just don't care, it means nothing to them and or to those that support them - the system is geared to allow them to get away scot-free.

Officially, the Mandalay Bay Crime, closed.

It's interesting to observe those among the 'post-Covid aware' revisit the Las Vegas mass shooting/terror attack.

Sadly the 'Saudi assassination plot gone wrong' disinfo has proven successful. It appears to now be the most popular 'conspiracy theory' about 'what really happened' on Oct 1st 2017. Just like 9/11 has it's 'acceptable' Saudi conspiracy, so does 10/1/17.

Oh well, we did our best.

Here's Ian Carroll taking an interest in the Vegas bloodbath:

And here's a link to the 'Las Vegas Shooting Map' he found. It's a handy tool because it maps visually all (or most) of the incidents we noted at the time from eyewitness and police reports. You can zoom in and out and select icons that link to specific reports at that location.

It's not 'complete', however, as I can see at least one instance where someone was shot/died, and that location isn't marked with a 'skull and crossbones' on the map. CCTV showed that one of the victims, probably Melissa V Ramirez, died in the parking lot immediately south of Sam's Discount Tires (then Sunplay).

Also, remember that the more tweets you post the slower the forum loads for people. So it's more considerate to write what you want to say explicitly and simply link a tweet in the text, like so, rather than posting the tweets. Unless there is a particular reason for doing so, such as Niall's post above.

How is that done? Whenever I try to share Tweets from X, I copy the Tweet's date post that link, but the Tweet's photo doesn't get posted, only a generic X window with a link in it.

How's what done? Sharing a tweet? Just copy the URL and the paste in the forum. The forum does the rest. But remember what I said to Ca. Better to not post the tweets unless really necessary so the forum doesn't load slowly for people.
