Been reading mine the past few days and its really well put together. The articles are all amazing! The sheer amount of information condensed in a readable, interesting, and well illustrated format amazes me.

I totally agree and think that this addition alone would make a good primer for anyone new to the precepts of PaleoChristianity, and as evidenced below:

... my wife picked it up, sat down and read for half an hour. She'd never read anything in English for that long before. This morning she took it to her English class for discussion. That really speaks for the quality and attractiveness of the magazine Thumbs up

Perhaps this edition could be used as introductory material in some way, not sure just how at the moment.

I received my copy of Dot Connector! It's beautiful. Love the articles, and congratulations to all those who contributed to this wonderful venture. The ad's are the best I've ever seen.

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

I wanted to subscribe for a while and have been really busy so could not figure out what to do, but I have a bit of time now so I'll ask for some help. I was also thinking for about 10 days or so about getting the PDF version instead (but can't subscribe -- have to buy each issue when available) and Issue #10 is not available. I thought that it would be easier to spread around after I'm done reading it, including emailing and putting it on people's portable storage/burning discs etc (is this OK to do by the way, spread it electronically like leaving print versions around?). I've been looking for a couple of weeks and I just checked again, but the #10 PDF is still not available. Yesterday I thought again I'd subscribe to the print edition AND I'll buy individual PDF's to spread around but when I went to the site to subscribe I can't have it shipped to another address with PayPal than the billing address. It has an option of changing the address, not special instructions to seller, but changing the address on the PayPal account. Clicking on "Change" you get an option to add. But when I go to add another address (besides billing address which is a US mailing address) the only option to add is "My Address (Home/Work)" or "Gift Address" -- neither of which can be outside of the US (with PayPal it's always on thing or another). In other words, I can't seem to find a way to subscribe and have the magazine sent to my address in Armenia instead of the US billing address on the credit card.

So are there any suggestions of how I might go about doing this? Can I do a bank transfer to the same info that was sent in a PM to me as an option to donate to the FOTCM Meeting scholarship fund? I did not use that option, but used PayPal instead for the donation but can I do a bank transfer for the subscription with the same details sent in the personal message? Also if I subscribe to DCM in the next couple of days, will the subscription start with issue #10 or #11 as mentioned above by Keit -- if issue #11 will be the 1st issue, then I'll have to buy issue #10 separately. Would I pay by bank transfer for the single issue #10 as well if that ends up being the case? How would I be able to give my address where the magazines should be sent and specify that the bank transfer is for the magazine subscription (and possibly extra issue #10)?

So can someone please help with these questions:

-- When will the PDF version of issue #10 be available for purchase? And is it OK to spread it electronically to others?

-- Can I subscribe to the magazine and pay by bank transfer? If so, is it the same bank transfer details that were sent to me in a personal message a few weeks ago to make a donation to FOTCM?

-- Will issue #10 be included in the subscription if I subscribe in the next couple of days? If not, can I just add the price of the single issue to the subscription and get issue #10 as soon as can be sent out after receiving my bank transfer payment and subscription?

-- If the bank transfer can be use for the magazine purchase/subscription, how do I specify what the payment is for and my address where I want to receive the magazine? (I guess I can contact someone with my bank transfer confirmation, etc. and address if that will work).

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

Subscriptions are handled through PayPal alone, not through the DCM web site software, so you will not see subscriptions listed if you log in to the DCM web site.

When you buy an individual copy or a PDF, that is handled through the web site software, so it will show up in your account.

In short, all of your subscriptions have been received and entered. If you subscribed after July 29th (when #10 shipped out), you will not receive Issue #10. If you subscribed ON July 29th, and AFTER we shipped #10, you will also not receive #10 - but this only applies to 2 people, and they have already purchased #10 individually!

Hopefully that clears up any confusion!

I'll see about adding a "subscription confirmation" page on the web site so that the process is less confusing.

:)

There are now confirmation messages for:

- Subscriptions
- Donations
- Canceled subscriptions/donations

The Subscription Success message should make the whole process a bit more informative and reassuring!

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

Dear all involved in the "Dot Connector Magazine",

Thank you so much. I share mine with Alphonse only unluckily for him he was away when it arrived and I got there first. I have already read it cover to cover.

It's fab of course :D

For me, I find it very hard to find the time to read everything I feel I should be reading to really give myself the best chance of being able to do the work and contribute intelligently to the forum. I have read a lot of the recommended reading list and am still working my through it.

It doesn't leave me much time to keep up with the more current items but now I have a chance to dip in with this magazine. I feel it really has made a difference already to me and I can't wait to see the next issue.

I thank everyone who contibuted and hope that one day I might be able to contribute as well. Thanks again.

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

Got my copy on Saturday 31st July (here in the UK) and what a thoroughly polished and professional piece of work it is. Well done to everyone involved with producing it. . Already lent out to a couple of people who I thought would be interested in reading it. :)

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

Ok, just got mine today! First subscription in ages, felt like a kid again opening it up haha. Thank you all for such a wonderful magazine and I'm blown away by the quality of its appearance. Goes hand in hand with the quality of the articles as well

Re: Dot Connector Distrubution

Besides Libiaries and coffe shops , local internet cafe's might be somewhat of an ok place to drop a copy or two for review as well I think, and maybe some bookmarks to the Dot Connector website to catch a few web surfers eyes. Anyways, back to trying to sort out the mess I am sitting beside here - gonna be up all night. :(

Hi!
Mine came Monday here in Finland, and I could not put it down at first. Have you ever done the whole EE program while reading a magazine? Now I have!

I started to think right away about the possibility of ordering extra copies of a particular magazine. But too bad it seems we don't have an option to send it to another address other than what paypal has - so it seems? That would be handy to send one to friend in another country for example.

(maybe I should order a couple to my own address and leave something at the coffee place or something at work.)

Incidentally, because I could not change the address, the magazine came to my home instead of to my workplace and so my (non-colinear) wife saw it. She opened it and she said that she read it for a couple of hours, before I got home, since she was home when the mail came.

Oh, well - at least I did not get into trouble, (=that means, I did not get attacked in an emotional outburst) and perhaps it gave her some food for thought for later.

However, she said the style and language of the articles seemed "unscientific" to her and more like a religion that particularly bashes Christianity (she is a conservative Christian) and seems more about intellectuals wanting to just turn everything upside down. I was somewhat amused when she noted that no wonder this group is appealing to me: they seem to focus on rationality, health, and try to find answers in a difficult and dangerous time in the ever darkening and evil world. Hmmm... seems like not a bad group to be associated with in my opinion!
:D

Interesting....its starting to make me think that having something in a magazine format actually bypasses peoples filters for "things you've read on the internet/in a book".....a lot of people seem to be reading this without dismissing it before they do. osit

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

I received mine a couple of days ago - have been reading avidly since. :D It is wonderful - love the format, the pictures and the fact that there is such a wide diversity of articles - but each one is in depth so you feel like you are getting the full account of the issue at hand.

I tend to agree - I am not sure why that seems to be. But I think that if we can get these distributed more widely or even if people leave used copies in coffee shops or other places (on the train?) - it may really take off!

Re: NEW SOTT.NET/FOTCM Publication - "The Dot Connector Magazine!"

Just subscribed for 12 issues and then ordered #10. Can't wait to get it and dig into it.

One thing I noticed though. I also put the PDFs for issues 1-9 in the cart with the print edition of #10 and the cart was charging shipping for the PDFs (something like 16+ euro, iirc). When I removed all the PDFs and left just the #10 print, the shipping charge was 1+ euro, iirc.

With just the PDFs, there was no shipping charge in the cart.
