The Ice Age Cometh! Forget Global Warming!

This a kind of digression but apparently the CCP (the Chinese Communist Party) destroy wood-burner or coal-burning stove and confiscate wood and coal, only allowing gaz heating installation who only a few can afford, "to save the planet". All this in a cold winter.
I don't know if it's true or if it's in a limit area but would be interesting if someone have the time to investigate.

Central Spain records temperatures of -25C (-13F) after snowstorm

People in central Spain are struggling as a deep freeze follows the weekend's heavy snow, leading to treacherous conditions.
Officials have warned the elderly to stay at home.
At least seven people have died due to the weather - the two latest victims were homeless people in Barcelona.
The temperature plunged to -25C (-13F) in Molina de Aragón and Teruel, in mountains east of Madrid - Spain's coldest night for at least 20 years.
Deep snow left by Storm Filomena has turned to ice, disrupting transport. There has been an extraordinary quantity of snow and ice for Spain, where winters are usually quite mild.

'Spanish Siberia'

Molina de Aragón, where the coldest overnight temperature was recorded, is 197km (122 miles) north-east of Madrid. It lived up to its nickname, "the Spanish Siberia".
"We're going to have this cold for a few more days, but we all pull together," local woman Yoli Asensio told the BBC's Guy Hedgecoe.
"Day-to-day life is difficult," she added. "There's so much snow about, the access to homes and roads is blocked. Some older people have had falls."

In other regions of Spain, judging by the shocking photographs, the situation is no better. Olive trees, vineyards, tomatoes and other vegetables are also destroyed somewhere!

Looks like people are going to become painfully aware that snow and freezing (another ice age) is going to be far worse than the supposed global warming ever could have been. Or not. The world does seem to be inhabited by some really idiotic people nowadays.

I've been thinking about the wildfires this last summer, and crop damage - weather related destruction of it... and the wildfires were largest in states where hemp was legalized.

So, maybe in preparation for hard times agriculturally, industry will shift to hemp growing on a large scale.

Hemp can be a food source, fuel, medicine, fiber that can be a replacement for other crops that are less hearty. And it has a shorter growing season. And it can be grown indoors under artificial light - it's portable.

So, I think we - at our consumerist level - who have everything done for us - are ignorant through all our conveniences provided us; are wholly dependent; that this mindset is as bad as any disaster coming our way.
We are so dependent - and tptb want us that way - and we can't even wonder what is happening around us. And can't think in terms of survival beyond hoarding what we are provided. And so, because of this, many will die or face hardship until they smarten up. We are all on this gravy train, but when it ends, there will be no ptb as we understand it - we will consolidate and pull together.
So, it will be like a judgement: if we can pull together and cooperate, we can get through it. And in this process of survival, we will be forged into better people where decadence is abandoned and we become more focused and pure.

It does look like the Sudden Stratospheric Warming event of last week is showing some severe consequences and will do so for another few weeks. We had a cold snap here (Ireland) at the end of last week, the lowest temperature recorded was -8 C at night but so far, and for the next week at least, it'll avoid the worst as the extreme cold front is centered around Eastern Europe and moving south in to the Balkans. After that though, through the end of January, it's predicted to move over parts of Western Europe. The snowfall in parts of Europe last week and this week have been incredible to watch, as is the large destruction of crops, but who's paying attention? The media is mostly focusing on the Covid Caper and the fallout from the 'insurrection' in Washington D.C.,

Were defienly experiencing big swings of warm and freezing temps here.

Some more news from Spain due to frost:

In the Murcia region, losses due to frost so far amounted to 8.4 million euros. The artichoke was damaged on an area of 4400 hectares, lettuce - 1200 hectares, lemon and olive groves were also damaged (there is no exact data), and other vegetables.

For other regions of Spain, there is almost no data at all, although there is also a difficult situation, judging by the photographs. Central Spain (Madrid) has requested assistance of 1,400 billion euros due to snowfall and frost.

In addition, the shortage of vegetables and fruits will hit the neighboring countries, where Spain exports its fruits and vegetables - Belgium and Great Britain. Here's what they write:

According to Belgian Cedric Guins of W. Jonckheere, the situation is not easy now. “We are very dependent on Spanish agriculture in both summer and winter. It doesn't take a genius to see major problems emerge in the coming weeks. Especially considering the weather they've had in recent weeks. "
“Southern Spain is struggling with extremely low temperatures. And in the central and northern parts of Spain, severe frosts are raging. There is a very severe frost and a thick layer of snow on field vegetables. This has already done serious damage. For citrus fruits, we'll wait and see how bad the damage is. It's too early to tell. However, it seems that citrus has not been spared. Our Spanish suppliers cannot work hard yet. Thus, the download was small. last days ".
The Spanish vegetable season began with high volumes. This was thanks to the good growing season they had. "This made production excellent. But prices remained depressing until the end of December. This was due to such high volumes and the closure of the hotel sector," says Cedric.
- Now prices have skyrocketed. They were still dropping cucumbers a few weeks ago. The prices were awful - € 1.50 / box. They are now selling for € 14 per box. These huge price fluctuations also complicate our lives. Everyday consumers struggle to understand these price fluctuations. "
“We have to pay the asking prices for the products. However, supermarkets only pay the agreed contract prices. This is forcing some customers to cut costs, making the market even more volatile. It is difficult to predict how the next two to three weeks will go. I think it will be difficult for both vegetables and citrus fruits, "concludes Cedric.

PS It seems desperate times are ahead of us. The script for The Day After Tomorrow comes to mind more and more often.

The Solar Cycle Explained - Stanford Scientist Explains The Sun's Magnetic Reversal
Magnetic Reversal News •Jan 23, 2021 /
Solar physicist Phil Scherrer, also at Stanford, describes what happens: “The sun's polar magnetic fields weaken, go to zero, and then emerge again with the opposite polarity. This is a regular part of the solar cycle.” A reversal of the sun's magnetic field is, literally, a big event. The only thing he left out was the fact that each cycle is different and they are related by a Grand Solar Minimum and Maximum pattern... http://bit.ly/2Y2P7lr

Kanto Koshin "Urgent announcement for heavy snow" Be wary of car stuck ・ There is a risk of heavy snowfall in the plains of the Kanto region as well as Nagano and Yamanashi prefectures over 24 days. ・ The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Japan Meteorological Agency made an "urgent announcement" to refrain from going out unnecessarily and strongly urge them to wear winter tires and chains when driving a car.

Tuesday – Thursday Storm: Jan 25, 2021 8:08 am
We will likely see a break Monday night through the day on Tuesday. We could see partly sunny skies in the morning and increasing clouds through the afternoon. Highs in the 20s at the base and teens up top.

A strong storm will be taking a position off the West Coast Tuesday night into Wednesday and will direct a stream of heavy precipitation into the Sierra. That will bring moderate-heavy snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. Snow levels look to stay below the base along with strong winds up top gusting to 90+ mph. We could see 1-2 feet of new snow on the mountain by Wednesday evening.

The question is then what happens with the atmospheric river aimed at the Sierra. The latest model runs suggest the moisture plume shifts to the south of Tahoe Wednesday with lighter snow, and then they shift it back north with heavy snow again for Wednesday night into Thursday. Then light-moderate snow Thursday night, with snow showers possibly lingering to Friday morning before the system moves east.

If we see the AR shift back north as the latest models suggest, we could see another 2-3 feet of new snow. So we will have to watch the trend on the models closely to see what happens with the position of the heavy precip streaming into the Sierra. By Friday morning we could see totals of 2-3 feet at the base, and 3-5 feet on the mountain. If the AR stays south Thursday we will see the lower end of the forecast.

This is how Naco Sonora is right now. Heavy snowfall throughout the region. Via: @VictorMendozaL .
