Tips and experiences ordering recommended books

Hairdryer / sticker removal tip.

When ordering used books, particularly from some of the larger operations like Better World Books, sometimes they arrive with the bookseller's barcode inventory management sticker stuck on the spine. These stickers are sometimes not easy to remove neatly or completely, but in these cases using a hairdryer to warm up the glue before peeling off the sticker often works well.

Yes, that is a great tip and an iron does also work for example.

I found a used copy of 'The Fire from within (Black Swan S.)' by Carlos Castaneda on https://www.awesomebooks.com/ for very little money (about 5 EUR). The shipping costs were very low as well.

However, and I think this hasn't been mentioned here (or I overlooked), import tariffs an custom fees between countries can make it a lot more expensive. Even from the UK to Belgium will probably cost me some extra euros.

Within the EU there are no fees but from the US, UK, China, etc. there are extra costs involved.
