White House on lockdown with reporters being moved to press briefing room, reports say
White House on lockdown, reports say
Monday June 24, 2019 - The White House was put under lockdown on Monday morning, according to reporters who cover the administration.
Journalists posted messages on social media announcing the lockdown as they were assembled in the White House press briefing room, where they have not had a briefing in nearly 100 days.
“We are literally locked in here,” wrote Megan Pratz, a reporter for Cheddar. “We can’t see much but Secret Service officers just ran across the lawn.”
The Secret Service posted a statement on Twitter minutes later saying the agency was “responding to an incident involving a suspicious package located on Pennsylvania Ave.”
Nearby pedestrian traffic routes were also closed on Monday, the Secret Service added.
Ms Pratz later tweeted that an officer with the Secret Service briefed the group of reporters who had been locked in the briefing room, and said they were asked “not to go outside.” “Does not want anyone out on the North Grounds right now, where all the camera positions are,” she added.
Monday marked the second lockdown for the White House in less than a week.
Days earlier, a man was detained after attempting to jump a bike rack and throw his backpack into the defence perimeter of the White House residence.
The suspect's name was not released by the Secret Service, which said in a written statement that it had “cleared the backpack and the individual was placed under arrest, and charged with unlawful entry.”
Donald Trump was at the White House during the latest lockdown, according to his public schedule. The president was participating in a 2019 Presidential Scholars photo opportunity at the time.
As the lockdown was in place, Mr Trump announced an executive order targeting Iran with financial sanctions.
The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

June 22, 2019 - Pakistani nuclear physicist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has revealed key facts about the reason behind the 2013 coup against Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the role played by the US, Israel and internal agents in these events.
Khan – who is described as the “father of the Pakistani atomic bomb” – wrote in a testimony on Facebook that “President Morsi travelled to Russia, India and Pakistan, but many do not know that he agreed with the Russians to re-operate an Egyptian nuclear reactor enriched with uranium that would generate electricity. He also agreed to establish another reactor that Egypt would receive three years later, for the same purpose".
It would have been better for me not to speak about Egyptian affairs,” Khan added, “but the Egyptian people need to know the truth in order to decide the fate of President Morsi.”
Khan continued: “Do the Egyptians know that the results of this visit have been the most frightening to the West? Egypt would have solved the electricity problem in the country forever, as well as exported enough electricity to light the continent of Africa.
“The Egyptians should know that during the rule of President Morsi, Egypt received two German submarines. Israel had pressured Germany to prevent Egypt gaining possession of such submarines, which are capable of hitting an aircraft carrier if Egypt has the right missiles,” Khan continued.
This came to light in Israel in March, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that he had approved the German-Egyptian sale but could not disclose his reasons for doing so, claiming they were “state secrets”.
Khan also explained that many Egyptians do not realize the importance of Egypt's possession of a military satellite, which could allow extensive surveillance of Israel. Morsi had agreed upon this with Indian scientists and, were it not for the coup in 2013, Egypt would have by today come close to owning such a satellite.
In addition, Khan claimed many do not know that President Morsi told Russian President Vladimir Putin that Egypt needed missiles, for which Russia officially agreed to sign a deal. Khan also revealed that President Morsi sent an Egyptian major general called Al-Tarraz to negotiate the deal, but US pressure on the army caused it to fail.

Seeing the human toll is disheartening and brings the reality of the abuse to the forefront. The policy has continued from previous administrations both Republican and Democrat but the next election is being planned to oust Trump in whatever way possible.

We’ve been watching the unfolding of the story of E. Jean Carroll, the woman who claims Trump raped her.
While the mainstream media did everything in their power to prop Carroll up as a viable source, the woman has exhibited incredibly odd behavior, including a very awkward interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, wherein she floated the idea that people think rape is sexy.
Carroll’s claim was that one day she was in a Bergdorf dressing room in Manhattan when Trump burst in and sexually assaulted her. There’s no proof that it happened, and as time goes on, it’s becoming safe to assume that it didn’t. Especially after an interesting discovery floated around on social media.
As it turns out, being sexually assaulted in a Bergdorf dressing room is the plotline in an episode of “Law and Order,” wherein a man being questioned by police describes a role play fantasy being played out by a couple where the man bursts into a Bergdorf dressing room while the woman was trying on lingerie.
Let’s remember that during Carroll’s interview with Anderson Cooper that she mentioned that people think rape is sexy and described it as being a fantasy.

I want to be clear that I’m not saying that Carroll’s claim is or isn’t real. I have no proof of either, just a hunch due to a long history of watching accusers come out of the woodwork when a person is about to achieve a position of power. From Clarence Thomas to Brett Kavanaugh, and a plethora of Republican politicians in between, sexual assault allegations are a dime a dozen, and they very rarely seem to be true.
With Trump approaching 2020 and the Russian scandal a dud, the left has to turn to something, and another sexual assault or rape accusations was completely expected.
That said, I do want to bring attention to the fact that this “Law and Order” episode and the similarities of the claims made by Carroll seem too similar not to be suspect. Adding the fact that she mentions rape fantasies, just like the episode talks about, makes this seem even odder.
I’m not one for engaging in conspiracy theories, but I am one for paying attention to weird details. And this? This is definitely a weird detail.
Somebody should ask Carroll if she watches a lot of television.

The State Department's Chief of Protocol is expected to resign over allegations of discrimination and harassment and has been replaced just days ahead of President Donald Trump's trip to Japan for a summit of Group of 20 (G-20) leaders.
NBC News reported on Tuesday that Ambassador Sean Lawler informed colleagues that he would resign following Trump's return from the G-20 summit and has been replaced at his position by Mary-Kate Fisher, assistant chief of protocol, who will attend the Japan trip in his stead.
Lawler was initially appointed to the position in September 2017 by the president and saw a smooth confirmation through the Senate a month later.
Two US officials told NBC News that Lawler was under investigation for improper behavior at the agency, declining to elaborate on the allegations but telling the news outlet that multiple employees had resigned in protest as a result of his actions.
The chief of protocol is in charge of ensuring diplomatic etiquette is followed during domestic and foreign meetings between US officials and their foreign counterparts. The shift in personnel so close to the G-20 summit, where Trump is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and possibly Russian President Vladimir Putin, could complicate those efforts.

The White House said on Wednesday that it will hold a social media summit next month amid President Trump’s fresh attacks against internet platforms over allegations of anti-conservative bias.
White House spokesman Judd Deere told The Hill in an email that the event is set for July 11.
“This event will bring together digital leaders for a robust conversation on the opportunities and challenges of today’s online environment,” Deere said.
It’s unclear which leaders will be invited or who plans on attending.
Trump earlier Wednesday attacked Facebook, Google and Twitter, accusing them, without evidence, of opposing him politically and even trying to rig the election against him, the latest escalation in his fight with the tech giants.
“These people are all Democrats,” the president said in an interview with Fox Business.
“We should be suing Google and Facebook and all that, which perhaps we will,” he added.
Trump also accused Twitter of censorship.
“I have millions and millions of followers, but I will tell you they make it very hard for people to join me on Twitter and they make it very much harder for me to get out the message,” he said.
Facebook and Google declined to comment. A spokesman for Twitter pointed to a blog post that the company put out last year saying that some users could expect follower counts to drop as it purges fake accounts from the platform.
"We’ll be removing these locked accounts from follower counts across profiles globally," the post said. "As a result, the number of followers displayed on many profiles may go down."
The companies have all denied that politics play any role in their decisionmaking when it comes to content moderation. None of the platforms’ representatives would comment on the social media summit.
Trump has met with tech executives in recent months, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, to complain about what he suspects are efforts from a socially liberal Silicon Valley to silence conservatives.
During the April meeting with Dorsey, Trump reportedly raised the issue of losing followers. Dorsey was forced to explain that the lost followers were likely bots.
Other GOP lawmakers have echoed the attacks and used them to push for changes to a law that shields websites from liability for content posted by their users, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
Conservative lawmakers have in recent days used a video posted this week by the right-wing group Project Veritas as ammunition. The segment includes an undercover video of Jen Gennai, a Google executive, talking about mistakes the company made in 2016 that it is trying to avoid in 2020.

In this leaked memo, Jordan Peterson and others are called Nazi's and should be disabled from the "suggestion feature". I've watched several videos now of Google employees testifying in government hearings as well as the undercover video, and they all have a similar energy signature, kind of a wimpy, repressed, evasive, weasel quality. Mark Zuckerberg is similar. Google seems to be something of a cult judging by what's coming out. Vimeo has also removed PV's site. I wonder if George Soros is involved in this, probably. The email apparently was sent as part of the Google “transparency-and-ethics” group internal communications and suggests that content from PragerU, Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro should be disabled from the “suggestion feature.”

Vladimir Putin has come under fire for suggesting that liberalism is ‘obsolete’ and has outlived its purpose.
The Russian President also suggested that LGBT rights are ‘overshadowing’ culture, traditions and traditional family values, as well as saying migrants can “kill, plunder and rape with impunity”.
In an interview with the Financial Times ahead of the G20 summit, Mr Putin said: "The liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population".
He said: "{Liberals} cannot simply dictate anything to anyone just like they have been attempting to do over the recent decades. This liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done".

He also said while Russia had “no problems with LGBT persons”....“some things do appear excessive to us”.
“They claim now that children can play five or six gender roles,” Mr Putin said.
“Let everyone be happy, we have no problem with that. But this must not be allowed to overshadow the culture, traditions and traditional family values of millions of people making up the core population".
During the interview, the Russian leader also praised Donald Trump for his attempts to stop migrants entering the US from Mexico.
He said liberalism: "presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected".
His comments have prompted anger from European Union president Donald Tusk, who hit out at the Russian president to reporters and via Twitter.
Mr Tusk said: “We are here as Europeans also to firmly and unequivocally defend and promote liberal democracy.”
He said Mr Putin’s comments suggested a belief that: “freedoms are obsolete, that the rule of law is obsolete and that human rights are obsolete”.
He added: “What I find really obsolete are: authoritarianism, personality cults, the rule of oligarchs. Even if sometimes they may seem effective.”
