'V' the series to begin on ABC

Yep they like it right in your face and right under your nose.

Have been watching the new V series and find, while still hollywoodish, still very well written and acted.

Things aren't always what they seem.

Personally, I have a gut feeling we are being prepared - again by fear.

The spiral seen over Norway and a couple other places bring to mind Project Blue Beam?

Anyway, me thinks we are all, again, being prepared for "visitation".

Whether it's the real thing, a hoax or planned event by our governments remains to be seen.

Very insightful opening thread.

Thank you. :)

Interesting that in the latest episode, the human resistance network (which includes suicide bombers) is supposed to have been organized by Israel/Mossad.

I didn't caught that one, thank Shijinj.

Personally I found the script very bad and too predictable and did not think it was acted that well. I only caught the latest episode and have not seen any others, but that was my impression. I remember laughing out loud at some of the cheesy twists to the plot and sighing at how obvious plot points were yet the characters were too stupid to see it coming.

Well, ya gotta be like that when it's scripted, otherwise no story.

I also found the speed at which the plot moved to be a bit ridiculous, like they were trying to run a sprint.

An example would be the scene where the two agents (resistance members) are in the apartment looking for clues. They notice some holes in the wall and then say, hmmm, look over here, there is this map that is wrinkled up as if discarded, but not too far away, and look, it fits the holes on the wall.

:rotfl: :umm:

How convenient.

Not to be rude, but I really detest obvious plots for it takes all possibility for catharsis away from the viewing experience.

But that is just me . . . not a fan, I did not find it plausible.

Actually, I agree with you -- I thought the acting was OK, but the script is pretty predictable and bordering on cheesy at times.

anybody else notice that the opening shot of the 1st new episode (after the summary) was a of a pyramid with the sun as all seeing eye?
(when the camera pans over it to reveal the street with all the people lying on the ground)

I thought it was interesting to that they talked about if they had a soul or not. And that was how they could conquer the humans, by finding the scientific root of the soul and destroying it.

hmmmmmm.

That WAS interesting SilverJeep, but then remember that they also said (the priest i believe) that ALL humans have a soul.

Whereas the research conducted via this forum indicates that this might well not be the case.

That was and still is, one of if not THE biggest shocker to my view of the world; a sacred cow I've had difficulty burying, on account of the fact it might not be true, but then also difficulty in maintaining, on account of the possibility that it IS true!

:/

Yeah that's a big one, especially if you were raised religiously. Going to church where your soul is supposed to be "saved", taking the soul out of the equation messes up the whole concept!

And it's kind of like a security blanket: "If my body dies, I'll still have my soul to continue existing."

Also I think it is interesting that a big part of the plot revolves around the Vs gaining human emotion through their interaction with the human race. Similar to the erroneous widely held belief that everyone is capable of feeling emotions or that psychopaths can get better if we just love them enough.

V is back tonight at 9:00 p.m. est. on ABC. for those interested.

I just watched Pilot S01E01 get down to finish today and I prefer EE to do than spend time in front of the monitor. I believe that by working 8 hours a day-being in an environment dominated by sts, toxyczna work, waste of time to watch after work. I prefer to watch V for Vendetta, Matrix, Alice in Wonderland, The Fast Runner (Atanarjuat). And read books;) from Red Pill press, along with the Dot Connector magazine does not leave much time for such V series. Day has 24godziny and even a second more

In the latest episode we see more that some of the V's started to feel, but most do not. The queen, Anna, has showed psychopathic traits in how she learns how to use her fake emotions to manipulate humans and those V's that she suspects have emotions.

Spoiler alert:

In the last few episodes she has tried to "bliss" humans (mind control that she uses on her own). It was putting her into a state of almost dying. Well, it turns out that a half human hybrid girl can do it no problem. That girl, has been manipulated by Anna inducing sickness and pain and curing her over and over with her "bliss" brainwashed the girl into believing Anna is her mother. I guess it sounds familiar to the obsession of aliens trying to make hybrids or probe/test us.

In the final few minute, we finally get a glimpse of the wizard of OZ, sorry of Earth.

I happened to record and watch the last few episodes back to back. I have kept up with the series. I found it interesting that the "V's" are wanting to upgrade their DNA/species by hijacking human DNA. Some V's wanting to accept the soul concept others not. Now,they are transmitting bliss via the half breed V/human. Now everyone is blissed that was on the surface and exposed to the bliss signal. The priest looked especially happy and joyful! Queen Anna saying that she was now going to use our human emotions and feelings against us for total control.
Is anyone else feeling that this is just getting a little too real? That maybe they have to tell us what's happening for us to give permission of sorts? Have you noticed how many people seem to be blissed after being subjected to too much HDTV! How the TV commercials here in the USA at least have been getting a little chaotic and are getting more out of touch with reality. Not to mention the content of the shows themselves and the Hollywood movies to boot.
It kind of makes me wonder! I know too any people who just can't turn off the TV. I admit I do watch some but have not watched much at all as of late. I record the shows to skip all the commercial interruptions which is now taking over 1/3 of the show air time. I can hardly watch anything anymore... Which is a very good thing!
